Our heroes begin their journey in Sinnoh, and visit Lake Verity. However, when a group of Starly attacks the gang, our heroes must choose a Pokemon! Lucas chooses Chimchar, Dawn chooses Turtwig, and Barry chooses Piplup. They meet a mysterious man who ponders at the beautiful lake. Lucas wants to befriend him, but it's too late. Our heroes resume their journey, and their next stop is Sandgem Town, home of Professor Rowan.
