AYY!
I'M IN ANOTHER GAME!

So, let's talk about the word opinion.
Opinion means a belief of someone.
Which means, I'm just going to say, this game can be a good time.
With friends.
But before I get into that, let me talk about this game's background.
Since the very first generation of Pokemon came to the Game Boy, kids everywhere loved it.
But if you ever wanted to play this game outside on a sunny day, you'll be disappointed.
The Game Boy's limitations are bad.
So, Game Freak made Pokemon Stadium for the Nintendo 64.
After Generation 2, they released Pokemon Stadium 2.
After Generation 3, they released Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Nintendo Game Cube.
And finally, to finish the quadrilogy, Generation 4 had Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Nintendo Wii.
And this game...was critically received.
I don't read Metacritic, but apparently it got a 53%.
Anyway, now to the next thing--the story.
There barely is any, and to be honest, what did you expect from a battle simulator?
You, the player, visit a place called Poketopia, a mysterious island, assuming it's close to Sinnoh.
There are 11 colosseums, each with their own Colosseum Leader.
The Gateway Colosseum, which has a starry look and takes place at the entrance of Poketopia, and its leader is Joe, who has Drifloon, Spinda, Mudkip, Torchic, Treecko, and Delibird.
The Main Street Colosseum, which has a fun look to it and takes place on, you guessed it, the main street of Poketopia, and its leader is Taylor, who has Pachirisu, Luxio, Luvdisc, Jigglypuff, Kirlia, and Bonsly.
The Waterfall Colosseum, which takes place near a waterfall, and its leader is Marina, who has Corsola, Marill, Farfetch'd, Aipom, Wormadam, and Poliwhirl.
The Neon Colosseum, which is next to a casino. Its leader is Rosie, who has Roselia, Sunflora, Skiploom, Weepinbell, Beautifly, and Delcatty.
The Crystal Colosseum, which is in a cave, and its master is Voldon, who has Machoke, Onix, Metang, Elekid, Rotom, and Carnivine.
The Sunny Park Colosseum, which is in a nice park, and its leader is Sashay, who has Plusle, Minun, Castform, Cherrim, Lopunny, and Shuckle.
The Magma Colosseum, which is on a volcano. Its leader is Terrell, who has Charmeleon, Quilava, Monferno, Grotle, Sandslash, and Prinplup.
The Sunset Colosseum, which takes place in ruins. Its leader is Dusty, who has Riolu, Grovyle, Vigoroth, Luxio, Gabite, and Combusken.
The Courtyard Colosseum, which is near a Bastiodon-shaped castle, and its leader is Kruger, who has Gligar, Pupitar, Victreebel, Gabite, Swalot, and Hitmontop.
The Lagoon Colosseum, which takes place on an island, is reserved for DS battles, and has no Colosseum Master.
And finally, the Stargazer Colosseum, where you fight all of the Colosseum Leaders in order, and its leader is Mysterial, who has Golbat, Dragonair, Whiscash, Haunter, Kingler, and Chansey.
However, you can fight him again, but this time, he has Palkia, Kyogre, Mewtwo, Latios, Lugia, and Manaphy.
Well, that escalated quickly.
If I were to give this game a Buy/Wait for Sale/Rent/Never Touch, I would say Rent.
It's not good enough that you would want to keep it in your shelf, but good enough that you can't miss out on it.
It's especially fun if you have a copy of Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon HeartGold, and Pokemon SoulSilver, where you can import the Pokemon you have in those games.
Neat!
It's not fun to play alone, but it's fun with friends.
Complete the story, play it with friends, then you can be done with the game.
I know this is a little short, but honestly, there's not much more to talk about.
There's no minigames, no legit story, this game just feels...empty.
In the next episode, we'll be taking a look at the Gen 4 Pokemon anime.
Hey, I never said this was restricted to only games.
This is being the Dopest of Leafeon, and I hope you all have a fabulous day!
