Nico was still asleep and some of the others waited for
him to wake up. Opal was off getting them breakfast and Matt had already run off somewhere. Nico woke up with a jump. "Ugggh. My head." He said. "Are you okay?" Asked Avelyn and Yellow at the same time. "Yeah... I just got possessed. You all saw." Said Nico, rubbing his head. "W-whoa wait. You remember?" Shivered Cy. "Y-yeah... It was horrible. That voice in my mind screaming; KYOGRE!!" Nico said, shaking his head, looking pained. Opal got back in with bagels. "Eat up. We take on the gym today, if Nico can manage, at least." Said Opal. "Whatever happened last night wasn't good, but we need to keep our spirits up. The best way to do that is by beating the gym." Alex said, reading a history page on Bulbapedia, trying to find anything about this "Kyogre." Nico got up. "Okay. Let's do this." He said.
After the group ate their bagels and got dressed,
They headed to Roxanne's gym. The group argued along the way about who would challenge first, but they finally said that Nico and Opal would challenge first. They entered the gym. "Oh look! Challengers!" Said a man. "Come, come!" He said, bringing them too the battlefield. They told the man what they were doing, and everyone except Opal and Nico sat down in the bleachers. "Oh Roxanne! You have a double battle challenge!" He yelled. Roxanne came in through the doors on the opposite side of the room. "Oh good! I was starting to get pretty bored." She said. The man stepped up and said he was the ref. "The double battle challenge between Nico and Opal vs Roxannne will now begin! Each person will use one Pokemon, except for the gym leader, who uses two. Battle, BEGIN!" Yelled the ref.
"Go, Mudkip!" Yelled Nico, sending him out. "Okay, go Vektor!" Yelled Opal, throwing out a Treeko.
"Geodude and Nosepass! Do your thing!" Roxanne said, throwing the two out. "Us water gun on Geodude, Mudkip!" Said Nico. Mudkip shot a beam of water at Geodude. "Okay Vektor! Use Absorb on Geodude!" She yelled. Vektor used absorbed the the Geodude's energy. Due to the power of the attacks, Geodude fainted. "Nosepass, use Thunder Wave!" Yelled Roxanne. Nosepass sent out electric waves all around. Mudkip and Vektor ended up getting Paralyzed.
"Now Nosepass, Rock Tomb and Tackle both of them!!"
Yelled Roxanne. Nosepass did what it was told, and did massive damage to the Pokemon. "Mudkip No!" "Vektor, No!" The two said at the same time. The two Pokemon nodded to each other. Then, they got surrounded in blue energy and started to grow...
