My Wife (Levi Ackerman x Reader)

by Wi Seong Kim

Wi Seong Kim I had first posted this on Quotev, but I thought I'd post it here, too.
Outside, the rain dripped from the dark, depressed sky. Each of the lovely, crystal drops landed on the black umbrellas as everyone stood in the courtyard. There was a quiet deafening silence, that could make anyone cry.

From the shadows stood (Name), she confused as to what was happening. Her (h/l) (h/c) hair was soaked as rain dripped onto her luscious locks. The once clean Survey Corps uniform was drenched in blood, cuts and bruises over most of her body.

What's going on...? She wondered as she stepped closer, her hands gingerly cupping the side of a building, possibly the mess hall.

As if the gods heard her thoughts, her questions were answered as a voice spoke. Masculine. That much was certain. The voice sounded so sad.

What's happened...? Why is everyone so sad...? Innocent (Name) asked herself as she stepped closer to the group.

The dull (e/c) eyes caught sight of the man who spoke, his raven hair slightly wet yet slicked back nicely.

Levi? My Levi. She thought happily, her heart fluttering. As if her feet had a mind of themselves, her boots padded through the muddied ground towards the man in front of the depressed crowd.

Levi! She shouted as she tried to get his attention, but his posture didn't change. He still had a depressed look on his face. He hadn't heard her?

A pang hit her heart as she walked closer to him, she felt like crying as she saw his face. He couldn't hear her, no matter what she did. What was happening.

The short girl looked behind her husband, surprised to see a pine box. A coffin? She wondered.

Small clicks sounded as she walked closer to the open coffin. The person was definitely dressed nicely, she wearing a new and clean brigade uniform.

Who died...? She hummed in thought as her eyes scanned the body. The woman had a small stature and a wedding ring in her small left hand. Her pale skin lightly drizzled with the cool drops of rain.

(Name)'s heart dropped as she looked herself, she felt like the world stopped.

I-- I died...? I-I'm dead...?

As if the glass shell around her shattered, she heard her husband's deep voice. Pain and sadness in each attractive syllable that left his slightly cracked lips.

"My Wife..." Levi spoke out to his friends, family and co-workers. Every member of the Survey Corps stood in front of the group, including friends from The Garrison and Military Police. "Lance Corporal (Name) (M.N.) Ackerman... One the best soldiers to ever step foot on the grounds of the Survey Corps..."

In front stood Hanji, she crying her heart out as Mike had an arm around her. The tall man trying to calm her down. He, too, missed the small woman.

Erwin stood next to them, his arms crossed firmly. Though on the outside he looked composed, his heart was overflowing with everlasting pain.

The tall, blonde man remembered the event all too vividly. It flashed in front of his find over and over. It replaying itself for his self conscience. He cringed every time that blood spattered his mind, a headache making the pain worse.

(Name) felt a shiver tickle it's way down her back as Levi continued to speak his words to his loved one.

"She fought bravely the whole time she was here... And, I'm proud I can call her my wife..." Levi mumbled to his friends, he choking down a sob. He looked up at the sky, tears streaming down his cheeks.

The small (h/c) haired woman walked up to her husband, she wrapping her arms around him and burying her face into his back.

"My only wish..." Levi continued softly, a small smile on his face. He could feel her presence, making him feel just the slightest at ease. "Is that I could've gone with her..."
