Miscellaneous: My Top 10 Favorite Pokemon {REDUX}

by Skippidypowpow

Skippidypowpow I made this about 2 years ago, and I've changed a lot since then. I decided to make this to show you that change.
Hi! I haven't made one of these in forever, so I decided to make one! Here we go.

Number 10: Scorbunny
Oh, my gosh. What can I say? When Sword and Shield got revealed on Pokémon Day 2019, I was hyped. I didn't watch the trailer until a day or two later, but nonetheless I was excited as heyall. I saw Scorbunny and instantly knew that he was a precious bean and he must be protected at all costs. What sucks is that I don't have a Switch, so until that happens, I'll have to pray for it.

Number 9: Talonflame
I know, another Fire Type. But hey, Talonflame is pretty lit. Hey, stop reporting me to Stellar! It was only a harmless pun. Dammit. Anyways, I really like Talonflame. He's broken in Gen 6, and even without Gale Wings in Gen 7, he's still rather powerful. He broke the mold on early bird Pokémon always being Normal-Flying, and this lovable Fire-Type warms my heart. AGAIN, STOP REPORTING ME TO STELLAR YOU FREAKING NERDS!

Number 8: Swanna
I know this seems like a rather odd Pokémon to be so invested in, but I think it's pretty great. This Pokémon is a neat depiction of a swan, and its elegance really stands out to me. It may be weak and underrated, but this Pokémon is one that I've grown rather fond of.

Number 7: Decidueye
I love Decidueye. This is the only Grass-Ghost type out there (because who cares about Trevenant and Dhelmise? Ewww. Just kidding, if you like them, don't bash me in the comments.) and it's a great one at that. This was, and is, the only starter I willingly pick in Alola, and I've also grown nostalgic attachment to it, seeing as I beat the game with this BIG BOI when I was a teeny-weeny 6th grader. Aah, good times. Despite being a challenge in the game, seeing as it can't deal with the early-game trials and rival battles all too well, it was a great Pokémon and helped me grow as a player. I really like its signature move, Spirit Shackle, and its Z-Move is actually devoid of mental sanity.

Number 6: Weavile
Weavile is a beast. It's fast, has STAB on typings that nobody expects you to bring to battle, and can hit hard when needed. I've always liked it because it was one of my mains in Pokken Tournament. Depsite hardly playing the game anymore, when I pick it up I always love having a helluva time with this chill Pokémon. Ok, I'll stop, just give me that one, ok?!?! Thank you.

Number 5: Yveltal
Now that we're in the top half, why not start of with a bang? Yveltal was the first mascot legendary I caught, because I didn't play any games before Pokémon Y. This massive beast helped me love Pokémon as much as I do, and if it weren't for being a brave little boi, I would not have caught it. I'm gonna come out right now and say that I was scared of Yveltal when I was 10. Don't judge, please.

Number 4: Wishiwashi
Wishiwashi isn't so wishy-washy. It's ability is great, and it's the primary reason it was on my team in my first and only playthrough of Pokémon Sun. I named it something like BIG FISH or something, I can't remember. Regardless, it's a monster in battle and helped me heaps in the Elite 4 battle against Olivia.

Number 3: Greninja
Remember how I said I played Y first? Well, Froakie was my starter Pokémon, and I love it to death, especially Greninja. All three forms are powerful, have a great design, and display their concept with near perfection. Greninja's "signature move" is pretty SHWIFTY, and Ash's Greninja was pretty badass. It was the second Pokémon I ever got to Level 100, and I appreciate it a lot more than I would have if I didn't get it that high levelled.

Number 2: BIDOOF
Make way for our Savior, Bidoof. Leader of the Soviet Union, this monster is a master of HM's, and it's glory will be honored for all eternity. Its cry is menacing, its design is menacing, and it is the BIGGEST BOI in the Pokémon World. Screw Arceus, when you have Bidoof.

Number 1: Lucario
If you have known me for a hot minute, you know that I love Lucario. I have no words to describe it, because it's just a great Pokémon. It's a powerhouse in battle, regardless of which way you enjoy Pokémon. If you play the games, it's powerful. If you watch the anime, it's a freaking GOD. If you enjoy the TCG, it's also rather strong. Also, Lucario has a Mega Evolution and was the first Pokémon said to go through it. It was my ace in Pokémon Y, and helped me defeat Lysandre, Diantha, and was the first Pokémon I ever Mega Evolved and got to Level 100. I know it may sound cliché, but I love this guy to my grave, and you're automatically my friend if you have ever owned one in a playthrough.
Mockingchu and ~Rinko~ like this.
