My Pokemon Gym!

by Shiny Blue Gardevoir

Shiny Blue Gardevoir I was tagged by @Ry_Burst. Anyway, this is my pokemon gym, or what mine would be if I were a gym leader.

Tagging some friends on here. You must do one too!

Deciding on the theme of my gym was pretty easy--Psychic. I love ghost and dark types, but they're soooo cliche, and besides, I think that the psychic type suits me better. I'm forever lost within my own mind, plus I am precognitive, so I am, in a way, actually psychic...I can't control it, tho...

My gym would be themed around Freud's structural model of the mind, and would have three rooms, representing the Id, ego, and super-ego. The first would represent the Id, the lowest part of the mind, and have a single trainer inside, who, upon defeat, will give the challenger a piece of paper. On it, they must write what they need the most. They must then go to the next room, and give it to the trainer inside, whom they must defeat to get it back. Since the next room represents the ego, the part of the mind focused on desire, they must write down what they desire the most, when they have received the paper. After defeating the trainer in the super ego, they must write down what it is they care about the most, since the super ego is the part of the mind focused on morality. They must then bring the paper to me, before we can battle, and I will read out what thay have written, passing a small judgement on their character.

My team, in keeping with my Freudian psychology theme, would consist of Musharna, to represent the Id, and the subconscious, Gardevoir, to represent the super ego, and Mismagius, to represent the ego. During battle, I would have the mismagius distract the opponent with illusions of their greatest desire, further testing their character.

Since my gym would be a test of character, rather than strength in battle, and I am not very good in battle, it'd be gym number three, or four.

And that's it. My giant reference to Freudian psychology, in a pokemon gym. I think that Freudian psychology fits with the psychic type, as it represents the wants and needs of the mind~
