A horde of Pokemon OCs because we all have some we want to share with the world: My constantly increasing list of Pokemon for roleplay. (Part 2)

by Zixal

Zixal Here we go again. Same shit, same character setup. I was just getting tired of going through the setup over and over again on the same written work, so it's time to make a new page.

I have too many of these.
Name: Nikki

Gender: Female

Species: Furret

Personality: Nikki is an extremely carefree and laid-back Furret who acts as several things: A mother, a counselor, a guide, and the life of the party. She is always very light-hearted about situations around her, and is more than willing to step up to the occasion when she sees a chance to improve the lives of those around her. Generally funloving, and encouraging to her offspring, but definitely not afraid to crack down on them when she needs to. She has extremely low pain tolerance, and tends to pass out due to the smallest infractions.

Characteristics: Nikki is a little smaller than a normal Furret, and a few shades of brown lighter, but otherwise the same. She is the most special to her kids and mate, Maxie.
(Bulbapedia image for Furret)

Backstory: Nikki was a very clumsy Sentret, despite their nature. Often getting into many painful situations because of some messes she caused, she continued on her way and kept on keeping on. A persevering sort of Pokemon, Nikki eventually met her mate, an overly serious Linoone, and proceeded to have two offspring: A Sentret first, and a Zigzagoon later. She and the Linoone, named "Maxie" have been raising them since.
Stats:
(Statistics, levels, move power, power points, and the like are simply for visualization, not for actual, mathematical values. If Pokemon are living, thinking, and breathing animals, they wouldn't have set values to their strengths or weaknesses, and thus these are not to be taken as exactly correct, nor even closely correct.)
Level - 51

Hp - 163
Atk - 98
Def - 86
Spec. Atk - 66
Spec. Def - 76
Spd - 112

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Quirky (+Def, -Spec. Def)
Ability - Keen Eye (Nikki's precise vision prevents her accuracy from ever being hindered.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Nikki has more than four moves. If this is against any rule that I seem to have missed, inform me of it and I will fix this immediately. Take into consideration that the "power" number is only to help visualize how strong the move would be if used right, not as an actual, predetermined value of damage, as a living being wouldn't have a set amount of health or a set amount of damage per attack.)
Move --|-- Power / Effect
Agility | -- / Nikki relaxes her body and becomes significantly faster and more agile
Coil | -- / Nikki coils up her body and concentrates, thus allowing her to defend better, attack stronger, and aim a little easier
Scratch | 40 / Scratch the target, obviously
Foresight | -- / Nikki predicts the opponents moves to nullify its evasiveness. Remove Ghost-type immunities to Normal and Fighting-type

Defense Curl | -- / Nikki curls into a ball to increase defense slightly, as well as double the power of Rollout
Quick Attack | 40 / A quick, light dash into the target, before any reaction
Fury Swipes | 18 / Using claws, Nikki swipes furiously at the opponent multiple times
Helping Hand | -- / Provide support for an ally, increases their strength
Follow Me | -- / Nikki forcibly draws the attention of others, directing their moves at her instead of anyone else
Slam | 80 / Slams a target using her tail
Rest | -- / Nikki wills herself to fall asleep, vastly healing her in the process
Sucker Punch | 70/ Catch an opponent off-guard while they're using a move and strikes them, causing them to flinch and lose their attack
Amnesia | -- / Nikki clears her mind and boosts her Spec. Defense significantly
Baton Pass | -- / Nikki escapes the battle and passes on her boosts (and weaknesses) to another Pokemon that takes her place
Me First | -- / Butt in and steals whatever move the target was about to use and uses it against them at multiplied power
Rollout | 30 / Nikki curls into a ball and roll at target like a furry wheel, multiple times. Defense Curl used directly before Rollout will double its power

(Furret doesn't learn Rollout in any version of Pokemon; it has been included in this list for roleplay convenience.)
This character is based off of and dedicated to my mother, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy at the time of writing this.
Name: Maxie

Gender: Male

Species: Linoone

Personality: Maxie is quiet, serious, impatient, and strict, yet he has a loyal and loving heart for those close to him. He wants the best for others around him, especially his children, but yet lacks the words to say that. He is hard on his offspring as he believes it will make them stronger, and he wishes for them to become better than him as they grow. Supportive, yet very withdrawn, he is often getting into spats with his kids, which may lead to him losing his temper when they do something stupid, but he is still someone his children would not trade for the world.

Characteristics: Maxie is larger and darker-colored than most Linoones, but is otherwise the same. His mate, Nikki, sees him as the greatest love of her life, but still recognizes that they need to iron out a few kinks in their relationship.

(Bulbapedia image for Linoone)
Backstory: Maxie was raised alongside a brother by rough parents who believed being tough on their kids would make them better. Maxie accomplished much beside his brother, who both left out on their own when they were old enough. Stoic, strong, loyal, persistent, yet still very much mortal, Maxie proved to be an emotional rock, even at the death of his best friend around the same time he became Nikki's mate. Ever since, Maxie was quiet, reclusive, and extremely defensive in any situation regarding he and his family, but still very much cares for all of them. He is tough on his kids like his parents were on him, but he only wants what is best for them and wants to see them succeed more than anything.
Stats:

If Pokemon are living, thinking, and breathing animals, they wouldn't have set values to their strengths or weaknesses, and thus these are not to be taken as exactly correct, nor even closely correct.)
Level - 66

Hp - 199
Atk - 117
Def - 105
Spec. Atk - 91
Spec. Def - 105
Spd - 157

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Serious (Neutral)
Ability - Quick Feet (If Maxie is under the effect of a status ailment, be it good or bad, his speed will substantially increase.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Maxie has more than for moves.
Play Rough | 90 / Maxie physically roughs the target up, possibly making them slightly weaker

Mud Sport | -- / Maxie kicks up mud around the vicinity, reducing the efficiency of electric-type moves
Fury Swipes | 18 / Using claws, Maxie swipes furiously at the opponent multiple times
Covet | 25 / Approach carefully, then steal the targets item while attacking them lightly
Bestow | -- / Passes on an item to the target if they don't actively have one

Belly Drum | -- / Maxie seriously damages himself with by pounding his torso, but grows hilariously powerful as a result
Fling | ~~ / Throw an item at the target, which could be more or less effective depending on the item
This character is based off of and dedicated to my father, who gives his all to support my mother in her time of weakness, as well as us.
Name: Martha

Gender: Female

Species: Sentret

Personality: Martha is a decently hardworking Pokemon who still lives under her parents, Nikki and Maxie. She tends to ignore her parents and head out on her own, but still depends on them for a number of things in her life. Smart, snarky, and surprisingly good at fighting in general, Martha tries to be the head of her own life while counter-actively sleeping at the wheel for the more important responsibilities. Her younger sibling, the Zigzagoon named Zoop, constantly looks up to her and heavily respects her.

Characteristics: Martha is about a normal Sentret safe for her slightly longer, black ears and thinner arms.

(Bulbapedia image for Sentret)

Backstory: Martha has grown up rather not being spoiled, but instead let to roam more often than she should have. The first-born, Martha always felt above her sibling, Zoop, but still showed her support for him when he needed it. As they both grew up, Martha began to distance herself from her family more and more often, a sign that she'd become eager to finally leave the nest and live on her own. Despite this, however, she still relies on her parents for basic needs like food and shelter, although she's learned a little and begun to provide more and leave less.
Level - 21

Hp - 52
Atk - 30
Def - 25
Spec. Atk - 26
Spec. Def - 33
Spd - 17

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Sassy (+Spec. Def, -Speed)
Ability - Run Away (Martha has an absurd talent for leaving any given situation on demand.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Martha has more than four moves.

Double-Edge | 120 / Maxie recklessly tackles the opponent to seriously harm both parties
Slash | 70 / Slash at the opponent with a sharp claw. High chance of landing with increased power
This character is based off of and dedicated to my sister, who's been there for me and my mother as much as possible recently.
Name: Zoop

Gender: Male

Species: Zigzagoon

Personality:
Zoop is a fun-loving and jolly Zigzagoon with a tendency to be lazy and lethargic at times, yet hardworking and passionate at others. Though he has a tendency to shirk duty so he can waste time milling around doing what he likes to do, Zoop tries to be responsible when he's needed most. He claims to never break a promise he makes, and he considers his own word more binding than anything else when he directly states that he "promises" to do something. Thus, he avoids saying those words whenever possible. He hates making decisions of any kind, of any magnitude, has an overactive imagination, and has a tendency to dwell on the past too much.

Characteristics: Zoop is a little smaller than the average Zigzagoon, as well as a little lighter-colored and has longer hair, but is otherwise the same.

(Bulbapedia image for Zigzagoon)
Backstory: Second-born to Nikki and Maxie, Zoop is the energetic and annoying younger brother Martha wasn't quite thrilled to have. Through most of his life, Zoop was a pushy, loud, talkative, and over-energized child who spent most of his time playing. Even as he grew older and began realizing responsibilities, he still found his ways to avoid doing work for his own sake, yet loved to complain about how the world never seemed to be helping his case. As Martha began to part from the family more, Zoop was looked at to help take care of the family, which he didn't take too very happily. Still, he relies on his parents, loves them, and would never want them to be hurt.
Level - 17

Hp - 45
Atk - 20
Def - 26
Spec. Atk - 20
Spec. Def - 21
Spd - 30

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Lax (+Defense, -Spec. Defense)
Ability - Gluttony (Zoop tends to be the first one to eat the food if there's any available. Berries have a greater effect on him.)
(This effect was applied so Gluttony wasn't useless in a non-game environment.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Zoop has more than for moves.
Tackle | 40 / Tackle the target, obviously
Growl | -- / Zoop growls endearingly, causing the target to become less wary and lose power

Tail Whip | -- / Zoop waves his tail endearingly, causing the target to drop their guard and lose defense
Sand Attack | -- / Zoop kicks up a cloud of sand at the target, blinding them
Headbutt | 70 / Zoop rears his head and smacks the target, possibly causing them to hesitate
Odor Sleuth | -- / Zoop uses his impressive sense of smell to single out scents, allowing him to "lock on", also allows Normal-type moves to hit a Ghost-type
Baby-Doll eyes | -- / Zoop stares longingly at the target, causing them to lose power. This move catches everyone right before they can attack
Mud Sport | -- / Zoop kicks up mud around the vicinity, reducing the efficiency of electric-type moves
Pin Missile | 25 / Zoop lets loose a barrage of spines that fire at random magnitudes
This character is based off of me in as much of an unbiased sense as I can possible imagine.

Name: Zavaal

Gender: Male

Species: Zangoose

Personality: Zavaal is a serious and no-nonsense Zangoose who has an unnatural affinity for his natural enemy- Seviper. Though he, like all Zangoose, will still attack them on-sight, Zavaal has grown up beside and forcibly grown close to a certain female Seviper named Vazza. Zavaal is quick to aggression and rather feisty, but is loyal and defensive of his friends and family.

Characteristics: Zavaal is slightly shorter than the average Zangoose, and has a few scars in specific locations (such as under his shoulder), but is otherwise a normal Zangoose.
(Bulbapedia image for Zangoose)

Backstory: Zavaal was born in the wild and lost by his parents in a natural disaster, and was only ever interacted with by a Seviper named Vazza who was about the same age. The two hated each other, but were forced to support each other in order to survive in a desolate canyon they found themselves trapped in. Though they've had their obvious disputes, given their natural rivalry, Zavaal and Vazza have become closely-knit and admittedly rather compatible with each other, though they both refuse to acknowledge it.
Level - 65

Hp - 190
Atk - 191
Def - 103
Spec. Atk - 92
Spec. Def - 103
Spd - 142

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Adamant (+Attack, -Spec. Atk)
Ability - Toxic Boost (Zavaal's physical strength increases if he's poisoned. The stronger the poison, the stronger he is.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Zavaal has more than four moves.
Scratch | 40 / Scratch the target, obviously
Leer | -- / A sharp, intimidating glare that can lower an opponent's guard
Quick Attack | 40 / A quick, light dash into the target, before any reaction

Embargo | -- / An aura is placed on the target, preventing any items from affecting them

X-Scissor | 80 / An X-shaped cross slash on the target
Taunt | -- / Zavaal throws taunts at the target, forcing them to attack rather than use any kind of status move
Swords Dance | -- / An aggressive combat dance that drastically increases Zavaal's physical power
Close Combat | 120 / Zavaal rushes into the target and aggressively tears at them at close range, at the cost of lowering his defenses

Name: Vazza

Gender: Female

Species: Seviper

Personality: Vazza is an uncharacteristically optimistic and hyper Seviper who, despite the species' nature, is rather tame. Cowardly and abhorrent to fighting, Vazza avoids conflict as best as she can, constantly using her significant size and intimidating statue to scare away opponents. Vazza is clingy to her friends and family, and has a tendency to coil around them in terror when something scares her. She's become rather attached to a Zangoose named Zavaal.

Characteristics: Vazza is significantly larger than the average Seviper, and has a notable scar under her chin, but is otherwise the same as a normal one.
(Bulbapedia image for Seviper)

Backstory: Vazza, as a child, lost her family in an unknown natural disaster that later landed her in a vast canyon with only Zavaal, a Zangoose, as company. The two Pokemon's natural rivalry, even at a young age, made it difficult for either of them to survive, but they were eventually capable after finding out that they weren't going to do well if they were constantly trying to kill each other. Vazza, being submissive as she was, was quick to agree and obey Zavaal, but they eventually ended up becoming close friends, despite their state of being natural enemies.
Level - 65

Hp - 190
Atk - 170
Def - 103
Spec. Atk - 155
Spec. Def - 92
Spd - 109

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Naughty (+Attack, -Spec. Def)
Ability - Shed Skin (If Vazza is affected by a negative status condition, she can eventually rid herself of it.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Vazza has more than four moves.
Wrap | 15 / Vazza wraps the target with her body and holds them in place, squeezing them
Swagger | -- / A risky taunt that raises the targets attack whilst sending them into confusion
Bite | 60 / Bite the target, obviously
Lick | 30 / An unorthodox attack by running a tongue along the target, which can leave them reasonably paralyzed
Poison Tail | 50 / Vazza swings her razor-sharp, poison-tipped tail to strike, possibly poisoning the target
Feint | 30 / A sneaky strike that can land even if the target has used Protect, Detect, or moves like it
Screech | -- / An ear-piercing cry that drastically lowers the target's defense
Venoshock | 65 / Drench the opponent in poisonous liquid. Twice as powerful if the target is poisoned
Glare | -- / A vivid and intense glare that paralyzes the target

Swords Dance | -- / An aggressive combat dance that drastically increases Vazza's physical power
Crunch | 80 / The target is bitten, possibly lowering their Defense

Coil | -- / Vazza coils up her body and concentrates, thus allowing her to defend better, attack stronger, and aim a little easier
Wring Out | -- / Vazza entangles the target and wrings them out. This attack is significantly stronger if the target is in good shape, while drastically weaker if the target is heavily damaged.
Name: Flanks

Gender: Genderless, referred to as male to reduce confusion

Species: Falinks

Personality:
Each of the soldiers acts differently than the last.
Maz, the Brass, is a rough-and-tumble head of the bunch. A demanding commander, but a powerful leader.
Cod is Maz's almost-second-in-command. Similar to Maz, but not as rough.
Nod is quiet, usually more aware of his surroundings.
Pod is an aggressive fighter, but is too rambunctious and needs Maz's leadership.
Zod is slightly childish and cowardly, but is able to put up the same fight as the others.
Jod is casual, indifferent, and unattached, but carries out every order with vigor nonetheless.

Characteristics: A set of six soldiers, like every other Falinks, but their shields are slightly more dinged up from constant conflicts.
(Bulbapedia image for Falinks)
Backstory: Flanks formed from the same mysterious process all other Falinks form from. They banded together with Maz taking the position as Brass, and immediately began training themselves in coordination, power, strategy, and other things in that matter. When they eventually found themselves sufficient enough, Maz decided the best course of action in order to become greater was to go out and fight other Pokemon, so they headed out and decided to become mercenaries, where they could hunt down and defeat outlaws and get paid for it. They grew stronger and more organized with every defeat they suffered, and more confident with every victory. And now, they wish only to improve further, defeat any bad guys they come across, and become well-known as a team of heroes.
Level - 62

Stats cannot be calculated accurately for this Pokemon yet.

Ability & Nature:
Nature - Serious (Neutral)
Ability - Defiant (If Flanks has his stats lowered by any means, their attack stat increases greatly.)
(Due to questions about the relevancy of logic in both the Pokemon anime and theoretical reality, Flanks has more than for moves.
Tackle | 40 / Tackle the target, obviously.
Protect | -- / Flanks splits into a defensive rank and locks their shields together, forming an impenetrable barrier.
Focus Energy | -- / Flanks collectively focuses their minds and strength, increasing their precision and likelihood of a critical hit.
Heatbutt | 70 / Flanks charges and consecutively headbutts the opponent, potentially causing them to hesitate.
Bulk Up | -- / Flanks tenses their muscles as one, increasing their collective offensive power.
Endure | -- / Flanks hunkers down and braces for impact, allowing them to survive an onslaught of attacks without falling.
Reversal | -- / Flanks attacks with all of their desperation and confidence empowering them. This move becomes significantly more powerful the more damaged they are.
First Impression | 90 / Flanks immediately starts combat with an ambush charge, allowing for an immediate strike of great power. They can only use this technique at the beginning of battle, as their first move.
No Retreat | -- / Flanks performs a valiant wary cry and dance, steeling their resolve and preventing them from escaping the battle. However, they are all significantly empowered in every form, including speed, defense, offense, evasion, and accuracy.
Iron Defense | -- / Flanks locks their shields together to greatly improve their physical defense.
Close Combat | 120 / Upon charging and changing formation to an offensive arrow formation, Flanks mobs their target with powerful close-combat attack barrages from every side. Their defenses are lowered after using this technique, however, but their offense is boosted by their Defiant ability.
Megahorn | 120 / Maz sharpens his horn and gives the command to charge at full power, plowing Flanks through their opponent with extreme power.
Counter | -- / Flanks braces for physical impact, and upon it, immediately counterattacks twofold.
Iron Head | 80 / After a brief charge, Flanks splits into an arrow formation and attacks their target from every side with an iron headbutt.
Superpower | 120 / Flanks unleashes an all-out attack with maximum power, expending all their energy on pure damage. This technique greatly weakens their offense. (Or it would, if not for their defiant ability, which counteracts the effect.)
Swords Dance | -- / Flanks performs a war dance that greatly increases their offensive.
Beat Up | -- / Flanks splits up and straight mobs their opponent from every side. They can also call in any allies near them to join the mobbing. Each strike is generally weak, but there are many of them at once, depending on how many of Flanks or their allies are left.
