Maxie ORAS - Custom Sprite

Pokéfan35 I made this up while I was bored. Because (ORAS)Maxie needs a sprite.
I don't like how it turned out. There is something about it that just bugs me.
I think it may have to do with the shading.

    the face is a little odd; I can barely see his eyes. It helps to make his irises darker. His hand's outline is also fairly light. Besides that, I don't have many qualms with the sprite; it's pretty well made. Nice job ^^

    Beyond brutal. I can usually tell the base of some, but I had no clue for this one. As for my Maxie sprite, I thought Colress looked similar, so I'd consider it more of a Recolor than a custom sprite.
    But hey, this is amazing~!

    I used the pilot sprite from Black & White. As you can see it went through a... pretty brutal redesign.

    The shading seems fine by me~ (Then again, the problem could be the hair, or something of that nature.)I made my own OR/AS Maxie sprite a while back, and I have to say, yours looks way better than mine. -May I ask what bases you used for this?-
