Today is the day I get my first Pokemon, but I know that you can get a Pokemon at age 10. But, I wanted to stay with my family a few more years before getting my Pokemon. My best friend Ryder was getting his Pokemon today too. So we both went to Professor Oak's lab to find him with three pokeballs ready for us.
"Welcome to my lab, I can see you two are ready to choose your Pokemon, so who will you choose? will you chose the Seed Pokemon Bulbasaur, the Lizard Pokemon Charmander, or the Tint Turtle Pokemon Squirtle?" Me and Ryder both looked at each other and then we looked at the pokeballs.
"I choose Bulbasaur!" I shouted with excitement. I took Bulbasaur's pokeball and held it in my hand.
"Then I choose Charmander!" Ryder took Charmander's pokeball and held it. Professor Oak gave us both a Pokedex, an encyclopedia for Pokemon. He also gave us five pokeballs each. We soon bid professor Oak farewell and went to route 1. But right before I was going to head into route 1, I saw Ryder get in my way.
"Hey, Lucifer lets battle!" I looked at Ryder then back at my pokeball.
"Maybe later Ryder, I have to do some stuff." He nodded and went to route 1. I was lying to him. I knew that since he had the type advantage I would lose, so I went to route 1 to continue my journey in the Kanto region.
