Lucaritwo (A Mewtwo and Lucario Fusion)
by Ninetales and Jigglypuff
Good try! next time you might want to recolor the sprites so it looks like you didnt just stick lucario on mewtwoJun 17, 2014
I do think the torso and waist combine well, but the other parts, such as the head, looks kind of detached. Other than that, it's good.Jun 15, 2014
What I notice first is that you've clearly resized the sprites to be larger than the 80x80 pixels that they default as. This has probably lead to the severe drop in image quality that we see here. The picture is extremely pixelated, and very grainy.
Secondly, you've spliced Lucario and Mewtwo together with very little regard for proper anatomy. Mewtwo's tail has been attached to Lucario's leg rather than its backside, and Lucario's head is on Mewtwo's shoulder rather than in between them. This, and the fact that there is no layering between the sprites, makes it look less like a splice and more like you've thrown random body parts at your screen.
While Splicing is not really my thing, in my experience a good fusion makes the parts look good together, rather than just throwing them together. In the future, try to mesh the Pokemon together. Or, at the very least, make the color schemes match. As it stands, this really is just Mewtwo's tail and torso mashed together with Lucario's head and legs.
Finally, I can't recommend how important it is for you to get a better art program than MS Paint. GIMP is a free art program that in some ways could be considered a poor man's Photoshop, and I have found it is extremely good at spritework, because you can get in close and modify the sprites pixel by pixel. If you want to continue doing these in the future, you really should look into it.Jun 12, 2014
In what website do you make these sprites. I really want to make one, it also looks pretty awesome.Jun 11, 2014
