It all started on a clear summer afternoon. I was just swimming under the Village Bridge, not really doing much, when a trainer saw me. I didn't think much of it at first, but then I saw that look in her eyes, the gleam of mixed awe and greed that I had seen so many times before. She threw her pokemon, a Zebstrika. It landed with a soft thud and glared at me.
"Alright Jebstrika," the trainer commanded, "use Thunderbolt!"` The Zebstrika loosed a powerful bolt of thunder on me, almost knocking me out. It was a struggle even to keep my eyes open. I tried to move my flippers, to flee, but I was paralyzed! "Yes!" The trainer pumped her fists. She pulled a Pokeball out of her pocket and threw it at me. It landed square on my forehead and I saw a flash of light. The next thing I knew, I was in a gray, metallic chamber. So this is what the inside of a Pokeball looks like, I thought. I tried to somehow struggle free, but to no avail. I heard a click, and I knew I had been captured. I sighed, then exhaustion won in and I collapsed into sleep.
