Nick Wilson woke up and it took him a moment to realize he got his first Pokémon today. “Yes!” He mumbled to himself. He quickly threw on his cap and blue jacket and ran off to Professor Oak’s Lab. He practically knocked open the door and said “Prof. Oak! I’m here!” He was greeted by Oak’s grandson Nate Oak. His childhood rival in everything. They were the same age and about the same height. “Sup Wilson.” Nate said. “Nate, where’s your Grandfather?” Nick asked. “He’ll be here shortly,” Nate said. “Alright fine.” Nick said. He then waited what felt like an hour and finally Oak came. “I’m sorry for the wait!” Prof. Oak said. “It’s fine Nick said. “Wait a minute.” Oak said. “What is it?” Nate asked. “The Charmander......it’s gone.” “WHAT?!” Nick and Nate said almost simultaneously. Well here take these Pokémon,” Oak said as he handed Nick the Squirtle and Nate the Bulbasaur. “Isn’t it convient we got the Pokémon we wanted anyway?” Nick said joking to Nate. “Yeah,” Nate said.
