Scenario One
Mary was walking outside Geosenge Town, with her newly received starter, Pikachu, because that isn't cliché at all. Then, all of a sudden, she came across an injured torchic, for some reason, even though torchic aren't native to Kalos, and it's unclear why the fuck it was there in the first place.
"Oh no! Pikachu, we have to help!" she cried, "Let's get it to the pokemon centre!"
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
Mary ran over to the torchic, clearly completely unaware of how to approach an injured pokemon, and tried to grab it up into her arms, instead of putting it in a pokeball, where it would be safer and easier to carry, until she got it to a pokemon centre. As a result, the badly wounded and frightened torchic, who was none to happy about having its broken body handled roughly by this strange girl, used ember. On her face.
Mary immediately dropped it, screaming in agony as her flesh burned, and all that Pikachu did was sit there and watch. She cursed herself for being too stupid to not approach the torchic calmly, despite knowing that it was frightened, and, like most real life animals, would most likely attack when feeling threatened.
Mary ended up having to quit her journey to recover from her wounds, after which she developed a fear of fire types, gave up on being a pokemon master, and got a normal job. The end.
