Falling to the ground...
How come this has been?
How am I still making this resound?
Knowing all of this pain within...

Let me break through this darkness, this despair,
Let me see the light, the peace, the places not in disrepair!

I will break my heart in two,
If that’s what I must do!
I will break my heart in two,
If only to see this light through!

Let me break through this darkness,
Let me pull through with that promise!

Though it might seem too thick, too far...
It can’t be as distant as it seems to you, my star!

Can’t I break through this darkness, this despair?
Can’t I see the light, the peace, the places not in disrepair!?

Why, just why does it have to be this way?
All the darkness and the ignorance they feign...
Can’t they take it to some other day?
