StellarWind Elsydeon Every Pokémon Trainer’s journey begins somewhere – and for most trainers, it begins with one of the most important choices they’ll ever make – a choice of the Pokémon that will become their first partner. The three starter Pokémon of each region have become rather iconic – and this series of designs is a tribute to them.

Perhaps the most iconic starter trio is the one that started it all: the Grass-Type Bulbasaur, the Fire-Type Charmander and the Water-Type Squirtle. Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran, chances are you’ve trained at least one of them before – and now, with this design, you can carry all three with you on your journeys.

    Actually, my vision of Charmander is based on theropod dinosaurs, Squirtle takes cues from assorted sea turtles and terrapins (that is, semi-aquatic chelonians like the red-eared slider) and Bulbasaur is inspired largely by Synapsids - the group of extinct 'mammal-like reptiles' that are the ancestors of mammals.

    So yeah. Bit way off there.

    Charmander looks like a Salamander, Squirtle looks like a Protoceratops/Turtle and Bulbasaur, Idk what he is. Like a Baby T Rex/Baby Triceratops.
