I brushed one last strand of my pastel hair into place, today was the day I'd start on my journey! I stared at myself in the mirror, I was going to be traveling with a few other kids my age and I wanted to look nice for them. I had a round pale face that was lightly dotted with freckles and large blue eyes. My hair was a pastel pink with pastel purple and blue tips at the end, believe it or not this was my natural hair color. I was adopted from a local orphanage when I was just a baby, so I never knew my birth parents and the only piece I'd ever have of them was my hair color. I was shorter than almost everyone I knew, except for little kids and people like that. I thought about my odd little family, from first glanced none of us looked related. My brother was tall and had tan skin and firey red hair, and neither of my dads looked like either of their children. We would often get stares as we went around our small town. Snapping out of the flashbacks before I started to get upset over my dad, I distracted myself with my outfit. A simple white sweater and pink skirt should do the job right? I gave myself a quick smile before walking out of the room, Soufflune at my side.
When I got to the kitchen I saw my brother and father sitting at the table, my father had his head buried in his hands, and my brother was busy feeding his Cutiefly.
"Uhh hey guys.." I said awkwardly.
"Oh! Lizzie, I didn't realize you were here!" my dad said, quickly lifting up his head.
"Yeah well I'm here. I'm gonna head out today, so I guess it's goodbye?" I said, trying to hide my sadness.
Both of them quickly ran up to give me a hug, and I promised them I'd text or call every day. I smiled as I stepped out of the door and started my commute to Eve Town.
