Fires of Vengeance, Ep. 1: Moonlit Night

by OmnipotentOnion

OmnipotentOnion Isaac seeks revenge after an insane killer murdered his parents in front of his eyes when he was just 5.
Isaac stepped out into the clearing, his gaze directed to the ground. The cold breeze of winter blew over him, the icy wind stinging his cheeks. A few meters in front of him stood a proud, grey-haired man grinning darkly at him. His face was distorted, wrinkled with old age. Yet, he still had the malicious bloodlust emanating around him, the evil aura Isaac knew all too well. "You finally decided to show your face here, did you now?" The man asked cockily, cracking his knuckles. Isaac clenched his fists as the man continued. "After all these years, you come here, standing in front of the man who killed your parents. Tell me boy, would your parents want to see you avenge them, to see me atone through death?" "Shut up, you monster. They would have wanted to live," Isaac muttered as he grit his teeth together, eyes still transfixed on the fresh midnight grass as memories flooded into his mind.

5-year old Isaac cowered in the corner underneath a coffee table, trembling with fear as the shady looking man laughed a hideous sounding, gravelly laugh, like stones grating against each other. The man raised a gun and yelled at Isaac's parents, "Where is he?! I want to see him squeal as I rip his useless away from the fools you are and stomp it into the ground!" He laughed again as Isaac flinched from the bloodlust that oozed from the man. Isaac's dad yelled in a loud but shaky voice, "We'll never let you have him, you hear me? NEVER!" Isaac wanted to cry, to yell at the man to stop. Without thinking, Isaac let a small cry, like a newborn puppy. The man turned around, eyes darting here and there, searching for the source of the sound. Isaac's mother cried out frantically, "Run, Isaac! Run away! Get out!" Isaac nodded, teary-eyed as he bolted from under the table and ran for the door. The man saw him just as Isaac was turning the knob and lurked toward him, arms outstretched. Alas, he was too late, as Isaac burst through the door into the moonlit forest. The boy ran for his life, receiving cuts on his legs as he ran through the dense undergrowth. Suddenly, a gunshot. An ear-piercing scream. Another gunshot. Isaac clenched his eyes shut as he sobbed while he ran, crying hopelessly to the pale, white, moon.

@GalacticGeckoMC I'm planning on making this without Pokemon. Thanks for your input!

1- This is like the darkest thing I have ever read. Still greatly lay out though!
2- Is there going to be Pokemon related to this, or is it a human "legendary encounter"?

This is a great piece of writing - the description seems lifelike and the vocabulary you've used has a wide range. All I suggest is to split the story into paragraphs to make it clearer and try to use a wide range of sentence structures, because most sentences are short.
