Daphne is a proud young trainer. She is not the type to back down from a fight, no matter how outmatched she is. She is fully willing to participate in team battles, but if she finds herself in a bad spot in a one on one battle, she refuses others help. Even when her opponent uses unfair methods, she prefers to win strictly on her own wit and the power and teamwork of her pokemon. She doesn't accept help because she doesn't want to be a burden to others, especially to her childhood friend Argos, for whom she cares for deeply.
