The Chronicles of Tim Wood: Chapter Nine - The Reign of Team Gaea

by Mockingchu

Mockingchu Team Gaea has taken over.
Tim walked along the busted up road. He was in Verdanturf Town, visiting his ailing mother. His mother, Natalie, had fallen victim to the Venaflu. Venasaurs had begun to produce a toxin that was deadly humans, and Natalie had caught it.
A car drove by, with the symbol of Team Gaea on its door. The symbol was a mountain jutting out of an ocean. The car stopped, and a woman in a brown suit stepped out. Tim saluted.
"Identification," the woman ordered.
"One moment," Tim said, searching through his pockets.
"Speed it up," the woman said, annoyed.
Tim looked up sheepishly, and said, "I don't have it."
"No identification," the woman said, shaking her head, "You know what that means. Get in the car."
Tim slid into the back seat of the Gaea car. A thick, bulletproof pane of glass separated him and the Gaea agent. They drove off. Tim knew where they were headed. Gaea Detention Camp. The closest camp was in Mauville. Where Tim had first faced off against Team Gaea. Tim prayed Natalie would stay alive while he was in the detention camp.
The car stopped in front of a large, fenced in area.
"Out," the woman ordered. Tim stepped out of the car, and the woman marched him towards the fence at gunpoint.
Suddenly, Tim whipped around, and yanked the machine gun away from the woman. He twirled it in his hands, and whacked the woman in the head with it. The woman collapsed. Suddenly, sirens blared. He had been spotted.
"Rebel Alert!" speakers all around Mauville boomed, "Rebel Alert outside of the Detention Camp!"
Tim heard footsteps coming his way. He got in the Gaea car, and sped off.

It had been three months since Tim had gone rogue. He had picked up Natalie, and hid out in the mountains around Lavaridge Town. There, other rebels had taken them in, giving Natalie a cure for the Venaflu. Tim had joined their ranks, and fought against Team Gaea everyday.
"Alright everybody," Wallace, the leader of the rebellion, said, "Today- we march on the Gaea Capital. We'll need all the firepower we can get. Rally anybody you know. We're going all out. It's do or die. Am I understood?"
"Yes sir!" the entire rebellion responded. Tim found Natalie, and hugged her before heading off to gear up for the attack.
"Tim!" Wallace called, jogging over, "I want you to lead a squad of rebels."
"Me?"
"Yes, you," Wallace nodded, "From what I remember of our gym battle, you're very decisive. I need a person like that to lead troops. So do you accept?"
"Yes," Tim nodded.
"Very well Sergeant Wood," Wallace saluted, "Good luck on the mission."
"Good luck to you too Commander Wallace," Tim saluted.
The two men parted ways.
"Tim," came a voice. Tim turned and saw a small girl run over. Katie. Her parents had died in an attack orchestrated by Team Gaea. Now, Tim had kind of taken her under his wing.
"Hey Katie," Tim smiled, bending down the hug the little girl.
"Happy birthday Tim," Katie smiled, handing Tim a small red stone.
"Thanks Katie," Tim said. He had forgotten about his birthday. He was sixteen now. And already he was going to lead a group of troops into battle against Team Gaea.
Katie ran off, and Tim suited up. He stepped into a bulletproof vest. He grabbed a belt with four grenades. He then grabbed a machine gun, and ten extra mags. He pulled on a blue helmet, and climbed onto a helicopter. Eighteen other rebels climbed onto the helicopter. These were the rebels Tim would be leading. He recognized a few. Benny. Chloe. Jeff. And Frank. His old enemy. But circumstances had forced them to work together.
"Alright," Tim said, "Let's get into the air."
Benny walked over to the controls, and began to fly the helicopter.
"First I'd like to acknowledge your bravery," Tim said, addressing his squadron, "This is a dangerous mission. But we need all the help we can get. So thank you. Second, I want to go over the plan. We're going to land in the Petalburg Woods, and approach the Capital on foot so they aren't able to shoot us down. Once we reach the Capitol building, just lob your grenades at it. Bring it down. Kill any Gaea agents you see. Understood?"
"What's the extraction plan?" Frank asked.
Tim looked down.
"There is no plan to escape, is there?" Frank asked again.
"No," Tim admitted.
"So we're all going to die today," Frank sighed, "Great."
"Commander Wallace doesn't think many people will survive this," Tim said, "But as long as we bring down Team Gaea, our sacrifice will be worth it."
Frank turned away from Tim. He wasn't too happy with the thought of death.
A few hours later, the helicopter landed on the outskirts of Petalburg Woods. The squadron crept through, and emerged on the other side. Petalburg City was in sight. The Capital. The squadron continued on. Suddenly, Tim heard a rustle in the bushes. He whipped around, and aimed his gun at the bush.
"Come out," Tim ordered, "Now."
A scared Gaea agent stood up from behind the bush, with his hands up.
"What? How'd he know we were coming?" Tim asked out loud. The agent nervously pointed at Frank. Tim turned, and saw Frank aiming his machine gun at him. His hands were shaking.
"I'm sorry Tim," Frank said, his voice wavering, "But they told me they'd let me live."
"Oh Arceus Frank," Tim sighed, "They're everywhere- aren't they?"
Gaea agents stepped out from the trees, guns drawn.
"I'm so sorry Tim," Frank sobbed. Tim clenched his jaw, and turned to face the Gaea agents.
"Surrender!" one of the agents barked. It was the woman who had detained him in Verdanturf.
"I've beaten you once," Tim said, "I'll do it again."
The woman fired into Tim's chest. Tim collapsed, and began to lose consciousness. Blood gushed from his chest. He saw Frank pull the pin on a grenade, and lob it into the crowd of Gaea agents.

Tim woke up in a dark cave. He heard footsteps. He searched himself for a gun, but found nothing. So he did the only other thing he could. He curled up into a ball and cried.
"Tim?" Frank's voice asked, "Is that you?"
"Y-yeah," Tim said between sobs.
"I'm so sorry," Frank said, striking a match. He walked over to Tim, and hugged him. Tim shoved the traitor away. Frank sighed, and walked out of the cave. A few minutes later, Tim heard someone else come in.
"I heard that you-"
"-Were awake."
"Tate? Liza?" Tim asked.
"Surprised that we're-"
"Still alive?"
"I thought Gaea killed you two. It was all over the news."
"We managed-"
"-To survive."
"How'd the battle at the Capitol go?" Tim asked.
"The rebellion has been-"
"-Ended."
"So Team Gaea rules unopposed?"
"That would-"
"-Be correct."
"Why do you two keep talking like that?" Tim asked.
"When we were-"
"-Shot."
"It shattered-"
"-Our spinal cord."
"So we can-"
"-Only speak in sentence fragments."
"We now-"
"-Have to finish each others' sentences."
"I'm sorry," Tim said.
"That's-"
"-Okay."
"So I guess this is the end," Tim sighed.
"Not-"
"-Quite."
"What? What do you mean? The rebellion is over."
"We can feel-"
"-A strange presence."
"Coming from-"
"-Sinnoh."
"Sinnoh? It's underwater."
"We can feel-"
"-The energy of Dialga and Palkia."
"They are still-"
"-Alive."
"If you find Dialga then you can-"
"-Reverse time and stop Gaea."
"But how would I get to Sinnoh? Team Gaea took everyone's Pokemon!"
"We pulled off-"
"-A little heist."
Suddenly, the sound of six Pokeballs opening filled the cave. Flames filled the cave, and the outline of Sceptile, Mightyena, Manectric, Exploud, Houndoom, and Dewgong appeared. The flames immediately went out. Tim's jaw dropped.
"You got my Pokemon back?"
"Now you need-"
"-To find Dialga."
"Save-"
"-The world."
"Thank you both so much!" Tim beamed.
"We healed-"
"-Your bullet wounds."
"So you can begin-"
"-Your search for Dialga now."
Tim hugged Tate and Liza, and ran out of the cave along with his six Pokemon.
"Let's go find Dialga and save the world," Tim said.
"Tim!" Frank called. Tim stopped, but didn't turn around.
"What is it Frank?"
"I want to come with you," Frank said, "I want to help you find Dialga."
"You've betrayed me once. I can't trust you anymore."
"Oh. Alright," Frank said, walking away. He truly was sorry. But Tim couldn't risk it. He got on Houndoom's back, and rode until he reached the ocean. Then he got on Dewgong's back, and prepared to dive underwater. Dewgong blew him a little bubble around his head so he could breathe.
"Let's do this Dewgong."
