I stepped off the plane in the Lumiose City Airport, and took a deep breath. The air here was pleasant, certainly beat the dusty air of Orre. I slowly walked towards the reception terminal, collecting my backpack, and made my way towards the exit. When I stepped out into the city, I felt something akin to culture shock. I came from the largest city in Orre, and Lumiose City blew Gateon Port out of the water.
"Wow." I said aloud, looking around and taking in the sights I was seeing.
"Is this your first time in Kalos?" someone asked me. I nodded.
"Where are you looking to go?" they asked me.
"Well, i'm trying to find Professor Sycamore's lab. Is there a taxi service or anything I can take?" I asked them.
"Yeah, here, i'll flag a taxi for you." they said. I thanked them, then got into the cab, and told the driver to take me to Sycamore's lab. When we arrived, I payed the cab driver, then headed inside.
"Hello, welcome to the Sycamore Lab, how can I help you?" the receptionist asked.
"Hi, my name is Darrius, I'm here to see Professor Sycamore." I said confidently.
"Ah, yes. One moment." she said, then picked up the phone.
"Professor? Professor Krane's assistant is here. Shall I send him up?" She was silent for a moment.
"Alright, right away. Take the elevator up to the third floor. He'll be waiting for you there." the receptionist said with a smile. I nodded and proceeded to the elevator, and rode it to the third floor. When the door opened, a younger looking man with black hair and teal green eyes was there to greet me.
"A pleasure to finally meet you in person, Darrius." he said as I stepped out of the elevator. I reached out and shook his hand firmly.
"The pleasure is all mine, Professor Sycamore." I replied with a smile.
