"RISE AND SHINE!"
Pika woke up, ready. "Another day. Roll Call, right?" he asked. Vee nodded. "You got it. Let's go."
"Roll call!" Chatot said. "TREEKO!" "DRILBUR!" "Whismur!" "GOLETT!" "CRANIDOS!" "KADABRA!" "MEOWTH!" "EMOLGA!" "PIDGEY!" "PIKA!" "VEE!" "Alright, everyone's here." Chatot said. "Back to your jobs, everyone!" Once again, Chatot stopped them. "Meeting with Zapdos." he said. The explorers nodded, heading into the important chamber.
"I've just been in contact with Police Commander Blastoise." Zapdos said. "They've found the last tablet. It was part of a statue of Arceus and his Trusty Two. Apparently, Arceus had the tablet on his back the entire time and nobody noticed it." Pika and Vee nodded. "We'll head for the station right away!" Vee said. "Mewspeed, you two!" Zapdos responded, the two adventurers dashing out the door.
Entering the city, Pika looked around. Pokemon were bustling around the Gazebo. "Let's check it out." Pika said. Vee nodded, and the two joined the crowd. A Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff were on the stage together. "COME ON DOWN TO THE THUNDERSTONE CAFE! THE PERFECT HANGOUT FOR ADVENTURERS!" the Wigglytuff was shouting. The Jigglypuff was handing out flyers. A large hut was being built by some Machop and Timburr, and it seemed like it was almost complete. Pika received one of the flyers. It said;
"This might be interesting!" Pika said. "Yeah, it could be." Vee responded. "Let's check it out once it's finished. For now, the police center!" "Right!" Pika replied, and the two departed once more.
After a few minutes, the big building came into view. "I hope we don't have to go past the Prison section." Vee said, shuddering. Less than a week ago, the duo had captured Weavile and his gang. They would be in the prison, and seeking a chance for vengeance. "It'll be fine!" Pika said. "We'll pop in, grab the tablet, and be on our way!" However, both could feel that it wouldn't be that easy.
Blastoise was waiting at the entrance with two Wartortle. "There you are!" he said. "I thought you'd never come! It's great to see you again." "Likewise!" Pika said. "It's been a while!" "Pika, stay focused." Vee said. "We're here for the tablet. Do you have it with you?" "It's right here." Blastoise said, handing them the tablet piece. It shone a bright green in comparison to the dark green it was made of. "That's it! The final piece!" Pika said. "Thank you." Vee said, taking the tablet. "My pleasure." Blastoise said. "Now then, I must get back to my dut-" Blastoise was cut off from an explosion in the building. "That came from the prison area!" he said, dashing off. His two Wartortle followed. "Well, adventure awaits." Pika said, smiling. "Let's go!" "Right!" Vee responded, and the two dashed in.
Blastoise was battling a Graveler when they arrived. The Graveler was shocked to see reinforcements, giving Blastoise the chance to toss it into a wall. One of the Wartortle ran over to Blastoise. "Commander! The explosion happened on Floor 11!" "Oh, great." Blastoise said. He gave a Squrtle orders, and it dashed off. The commander then turned to the Exploration Team. "Pika! Vee! I must warn you, we made the prison to be a Mystery Dungeon! Meet me at the eleventh floor!" he said before dashing off, his two Wartortle and a Squrtle behind him. "Mystery Dungeon time." Pika said. "Let's do this."
(Mystery Dungeon = Imagination Time.)
Climbing the stairs to reach the eleventh floor, the two adventurers were greeted with the scene of a battle. Blastoise was battling a Gabite, while the Wartortle and Squrtle were fighting off some Voltorb. "Why did you do this?" Blastoise demanded to the Gabite. "You set most of the prisoners free! There's chaos everywhere!" "I came for one thing." the Gabite said. "My mission is complete. The objectives have escaped. Good luck finding them again." Gabite bit Blastoise's arm, causing him to lose focus. The Gabite then Headbutted Blastoise, sending him back in pain. Pika then jumped out from behind and used Iron Tail. The Gabite fell to the ground, watching as a Thunderbolt came down on him. The electrical attack did nothing, thanks to his ground-typing. "Crud!" Pika said, touching the ground. "Electricity can't hurt him!" Vee thought for a moment. "Gabite is a Dragon-Ground type... Ice type moves are super effective!" she said. Blastoise nodded, getting the hint. Gabite turned around just in time to see Blastoise's Ice Beam coming straight for his face. The bounty hunter hit the ground, fainted. The Voltorb saw this and fled.
"Thanks for the help back there." Blastoise said, throwing the limp Gabite into a cell. "We couldn't have rounded up all the prisoners we did without your help." "Just another day in the guild!" Pika said. "But I'm still wondering about what he said. What do you think he meant by 'The objectives have escaped'?" Blastoise and the adventurers talked and walked. "Perhaps... oh, no!" Blastoise stopped at a cell that had the back wall completely blown open. "This cell was the cell of the Dark Claw! They've escaped!" "WHAT?!" Pika and Vee exclaimed. It was true. Weavile and his gang had escaped.
"I know this wasn't an official job, but you deserve some payment." Blastoise said, handing the team 2000P. "Thanks!" Vee said, accepting the cash. "I'm still a bit worried about the Dark Claw, though." "We'll keep an eye out for those bandits." Blastoise said. "Anyways, good luck with figuring out the tablets!" The friends parted ways, and the explorers headed back to the guild.
Chatot was waiting. "Good work." he said. "I heard about the break-out. You two did some good work. Now let's get some supper! ...after sorting out the details, of course." The three Pokemon started to discuss it as the others started heading to supper.
"Now, everyone, DIG IN!"
"Crunch-munch! Chew-chew! Sniffle-slurp! Crunch-munch! Chew-chew! Sniffle-slurp! Crunch-munch! Chew-chew! Sniffle-slurp! Crunch-munch! Chew-chew! Sniffle-slurp!"
After supper, the two friends were in their room. Pika was looking at each of the tablet pieces. "You know, these tablets are weird. What do you think they're for?" "Something in a pyramid, according to the Seer." Vee said. "Do you think it's the same pyramid we visited with Pidgey?" "Could be." Pika said. "But I'm to tired to think." "Agreed." Vee responded. "Let's hit the hay."
"Hey, Pika?"
"Yeah, Vee?"
"Are you curious as to why that Gabite engineered a break-out just for Weavile's gang?"
"Not really. Someone liked them, planned the break-out and hired Gabite."
"Yes, but who is that someone?"
"Probably a question to ask tomorrow."
"I suppose. Good night, Pika."
