The Country of Meiyadarin: Chapter 2, Parts 5+6, The Banquet and the Tensions!

by ~Rinko~

~Rinko~ It's finally time for the banquet, where both the top and ruling people and ordinary people from all the different countries of Celestialle alike gather for fun and great food at once! But, of course, the mix of both the high-class and the lower-class could cause some arguments... (parts 5 and 6)
After checking in the knights and the young ruler, a huuuge group of people with dusky red hair and eyes headed up, though a good amount of them looked more like farmers than leaders. After all of them, there was a white-haired young man, with small, sharp and tough icy blue eyes who seemed incredibly over-the-top-ly formal and puffed-up.

“Ugh, why did the... leader, not show up here?” he asked, tiresomely, “Beside. You want to... mark down name and... task, correct?”

“Yup!” I nodded.

“Diarmuid Whitewind, the majestic, youthful sovereign of the southern country of snow and ice, Wnos!” he stated with a grand flourish or a few. “...it is that word right? Sovereign?” he muttered.

“Right... sovering, probs misspelt that, of Wnos.” I mumbled as I wrote.

“How dare you shorten my grand introduction so much!” Diarmuid yelled, in an over dramatically hurt pose.

“Not enough room.”

“...Idiot!”

“Hey, I’m not that dumb.”

“Wait, what? You understood that?”

“Yes...? ‘Idiot,’ you just said that with a weird accent.”

“Is... is that a word somehow embedded deeply into all languages?”

Stephana stepped in from the side, “Oh, that appears more or less true, at least in all of Celestialle, it seems.”

“That is very interesting. Now, maid-girl, if you will let me past...” Diarmuid said, aiming to walk into the palace.

“Oh, somehow I doubt the Supreme Duchess wishes to see you before the banquet, if she does not wish to see me beforehand.” Stephana said, stepping in front of the young man.

“What? Just because you are older than me?”

“No, because of the precarious political situation. Even if the Supreme Duchess is not aware of the rumours, I am sure she would want them to be put to rest quickly.”

“Idiots!”

“No, ya’ aren’t talking to her until she gets this list and decides who’s in or out!” I stated, bending back my back a little and placing my hands on my sides.

After a little bit, we, by that I mean me and Stephana, managed to quiet down Diarmuid. After him there was a small group following him around, claiming to be part of his ‘entourage’ or something, after them the ‘Paladin of Nature,’ Catherine Ashthorn, from Rani came with some others... all pretty boring.

Eventually, everyone who wanted to show showed, so I grabbed the paper and dashed in to give it Elisia, after she checked through the list, I took it back to the grounds and called out everyone, save a few people, probs because of what Elisia muttered about ‘those ones are too suspicious’ or something.

And, with the call up, the banquet was officially open!

...Y'know what I said last part? I've changed it to 'only important in this arc or the next or overall plot.'
