Chapter 2
Once the three faithful companions quickly left the grand mansion with their travel bags, it instantly started to rain. “Good thing my bubble blocks out rain.” proudly said Mega Pikachu. “Mirror Coat!” yelled Mega Ray and Mega Mewtwo X, and a forcefield surrounded them, blocking the rain and lightning. “That’s better.” said Mega Ray. Mega Pikachu pulled out his map and scratched his head, for he was confused.
“Do you understand this, Mewtwo?” asked Mega Pikachu. Mega Mewtwo X took the map from him and studied it. “Yes, it says here in the language of humans,” Mega Mewtwo X paused and shuddered, “that we are over a cave.” Mega Pikachu looked down.
He saw the cave where he found Jirachi. “This is the one!” yelled Mega Pikachu. The trio flew down towards the cave and Mega Pikachu went inside to inspect. His bubble glowed in the darkness of the cavern, but he could not find Jirachi.
“It’s not here.” he said to Mega Ray and Mega Mewtwo X when he came out of the cave. They were baffled, but Mega Mewtwo X noticed a glowing trail of stardust. “Look!” he said gleefully. “A trail!” Mega Ray and Mega Pikachu started joyfully celebrating. “Well? Come on! Let’s go!”said Mega Mewtwo X.
As they followed the trail, night began falling. “Whoa,” said Mega Pikachu.“Take a look at that comet!” “That comet is the Millennium comet, the special star that Jirachi gets its energy from!” replied Mega Ray. Once they came to the ground, the three friends turned into their regular forms for the night.
“You know, Pikachu, we only have 7 days to find Jirachi.” warned Mewtwo. “WE DO?!” shrieked Pikachu, jolting up from the spot he was curling up on. “That’s not enough time!” he said in a panicked voice. “Well, the next time that Jirachi will reappear is in 1,000 years.” calmly replied Mewtwo.
“And also, we still have the stardust trail.” added Ray. “So we… should… go… now…” Pikachu said, but then nodded off. Ray sighed. “I guess we should keep going.” Mewtwo shrugged, picking up Pikachu and holding him in his arms. They started off, but not so fast as to wake up Pikachu.
After what felt like an hour, Ray said, “I have an idea. Put Pikachu in the cushioned layers of my travel bag, since I don’t have many things, and most of them are soft.” They stopped and did just that, and Pikachu did not wake up. Ray zipped up the bag, but left a space open so Pikachu could breathe.
After that, Ray and Mewtwo started off. As they continued, the sun began rising. When the sun was up, Pikachu’s voice came from the bag. “Hey, thanks for the bed, but can I come out now?” asked Pikachu. Ray and Mewtwo stopped, then took Pikachu out of the bag. “Now, Pikachu, do you want to fly on your own, or shall I carry you?” asked Mewtwo. “I can fly on my own.” replied Pikachu.
Ray, Mewtwo and Pikachu Mega Evolved, and flew with the luminescent trail. A few hours later, Pikachu got hungry. Luckily, Alakazam packed some Poke-puffs that he stole from some evil humans and their talking Meowth, known as Team Rocket.
As soon as Pikachu took a bite of the Poke-puff, he felt very powerful. “PIKACHUUUU!!!” he yelled, releasing a huge Thunderbolt attack.
“Whoa!” said Mewtwo and Ray at the same time. “Let me try one!” yelled Ray, then dove for a Dragon-type Poke-puff. It was the same result, but Ray unleashed a Dragon Ball.
Ray let out a long and powerful dragon roar that shook the ground, and a ball of Ray’s energy formed between his hands. He shot it forwards and knocked down a nearby tree. “Oh snap!” cried Pikachu, then Mewtwo leapt for a Psychic-type one.
He let out a yell and shot an Aura Sphere towards the sky. The trio watched as the attack went up really far… then disappeared.
A few miles away, Team Rocket were trying to discover where Jirachi was so they could capture it. “Great, James, now we’re lost.” groaned Jessie. “Look, I’m only trying to find out where that stupid Jirachi is, okay?” snapped James. “Well, my mother taught me trying doesn’t make the cut!” butted in Meowth. Suddenly, Mewtwo’s Aura Sphere streaked towards them and was precisely a direct hit. “We’re blasting off againnnnnnnnnn!!!” They yelled as they shot up into the boundless sky.
