A/N: This is my first ever story so if it sucks don't tell me I already know.
Chapter 1: The Beginning
Naruto had just got back from a mission at the land of waves, he was in his apartment laying on his bed with only a small lamp to give light in a room of filled with darkness, he just laid there trying to get to sleep minding his own business when suddenly and with no warning a large book land on top of him illuminating the entire room, " argh " he shouted rolling off his bed onto the ground, landing with a loud thud, pain coursed through his body as he tried to get up.
With most of the pain gone, he picked the book up placing it on his bed in front of him, on the front it said 'TO NARUTO UZUMAKI, READ ME' in big, bold letters, Naruto opened the book looking for a summary or a title but the pages were blank, suddenly words began to appear on the pages, 'Naruto if you are reading this than I didn't miss my mark and you have been transported into a video game of my design, your goal in this game is to level, bet up the villains and discover the secretes placed within this world.
" What " Naruto yelled " why would you choose me to be in a video game ", ' why put you in a video game, to entertain me, I get bored very easy', "you placed me in a video game so you can be entertained, I am not some ones toy they can use when ever they want " Naruto exclaimed.
' Now that that's over with turn the page' Naruto mumbled rude comments about the book as he turned the page recoiling his hand from a deep paper cut ' I can see all and hear all, don't test me, on with the tutorial this is the log menu this is were you can see how much experience points you have and how much you need to level up, this is also the page you use to level, right now your level zero, you can gain experience points by killing enemies, completing missions and gaining achievements, because I'm nice 'CONGATULATION! YOU GRADUATED FROM THE ACADEMY +100 Points', the Experience Bar filled up words popped up at the top of the page,' LEVEL UP, NARUTO UZUMAKI IS NOW LEVEL ONE +10 Stat Points, +11 Skill Points'.
Naruto jumped up, feeling power course through his body " Whoa what was that?" Naruto asked, 'that was a level up, turn the page again to the stat page', " Stats " Naruto Thought, ' there are seven stats Strength, Speed, Intelligence, Acrobatics, Endurance, Chakra Level, Chakra Control and Luck, These are all numerical values that pertain to you. If we were to put your chakra levels on say…Kakashi’s scale, then the numbers would be much higher, or lower, depending on the circumstances. Strength is the physical strength of your body, the higher it is the harder you hit. Speed is the speed of your body, the ability at which you move your body, and how fast you can form hand signs, Intelligence isn't how much stuff you know, but rather how well you use what you know. Endurance is how long your strength and speed last, low strength but high endurance means you can win against someone with high strength but low endurance. Acrobatics is how high you can jump, how much you can bend, and a whole slew of other things. Chakra levels are blatantly obvious. Having the Ninetails stuck inside your gut however, your chakra levels are already damned impressive. Chakra control is again blatantly obvious .Luck affects everything. From how well you gamble, to what will show up on missions.
Naruto looked to the stats. Strength was at a 25 he guessed that was good, but he wasn't sure what the numbers were out of. Speed was at a 25, Intelligence was at 10, Endurance was a solid 40, Acrobatics was at 20, Chakra levels was at 40, and he wasn't surprised to see his Chakra control at 10. Luck was at 15.
'The limits of all the stats are at 200. You can train your stats, to an extent, and boost them. Every level however you can boost a stat up five points. The higher the level, the longer it will take to level up. Turn the page next is skills.'
there are many skills from ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu and kenjutsu. to Sealing, Stealth and Weapon Making, the amount of skill points you get is determined by your intelligence X1 plus your current level, the cap for each skill is 200.
' That's it for the tutorial for right now. ' " finally " Naruto moaned flipping back to the log menu, 'CONGRADULATIONS!, YOU MASTERED THE SHADOW CLONE JUTSU +300 Points', CONGRADULATIONS! YOU DEFETED HAKU +500 Points', LEVEL UP, NARUTO UZUMAKI IS NOW LEVEL TWO +10 Stat Points, +11 Skill Points +1 Perk Point'. Naruto shot up at the new Perk Point, words began to appear at the top of the page ' Turn to the perks page ', Naruto willingly turned all the way to the perks page ''Welcome to the Perks page. Perks are gained every other level, and can be a variety of things. Certain requirements must be met before a perk can be taken. Even Kekkei Genkai are perks, though they almost always have requirements to be met before they can be taken. Turn the page.'
Naruto glanced at some of the perks as he turned the page. The one called Rinnegan caught his eye, but he ignored it. He did however see the Hyoton unlocked. He tapped it. ‘Hyoton. Requirements, defeat Haku. Allows for use of the Hyoton Kekkei Genkai.’ Naruto rolled his eyes at the obvious description. He pondered it for a second before tapping the ‘Yes’ icon. He had already used his one skill point. Naruto then flipped the page.
Naruto after looking through some of the perks flipped to the stats page, he had 30 stat points to spend " 30 I should only have 20" Naruto asked confused, ' you started with 10 points you also get a bonus 10 points every ten levels.'
Naruto trying to follow what the book is telling him sits in silent concentration, after a few minutes pass Naruto get back to distributing his stat points, he decides to put 20 into intelligence rounding it to 30 and put 10 into speed rounding it to 35.
Naruto beginning to become really tired puts the book on the desk next to him and falls asleep leaving the skill points for tomorrow.
