The Country of Meiyadarin: Chapter 1, Part 11, The Requests From the Supreme Duchess

by ~Rinko~

~Rinko~ Maria, Christopher and Adriana all take on some special tasks for an upcoming event. One that everyone in Celestialle is excited about! Though, why the tasks were giving to them doesn't fully make sense. (part 11)
“Can you at the very least consider giving one of the islands to Ara? It has not exactly been the most prosperous time for us.” the knight asked.

“Since when has it ever been prosperous for your country? The only time you could export anything other than lamely crafted scraps of magic metal and poor-quality cloth you were in the middle of a war!” Elisia shouted, turning her back to the knight, “Now, if you will drop the topic of the Celesti Island at the least until Stephana shows up, you can stay.” she stated, a slight frown on her face.

“God, do you understand that all we need is the one, tiny island?!” the knight shouted back, “It-ow! Stuuup-pid lowww... ugghhhh... ow.” he presumably started to reiterate his complaint, but bumped his head on the ceiling before one could properly tell.

“Huh? Oh... yes. This building wasn’t... entirely, designed with Arans in mind.” Elisia muttered, turning her head to see what happened.

Christopher ran up to the knight and offered to help out with the bump, but the knight refused, heading back out.

“Ah, no-one did catch what his name was, did they?” Christopher asked, seemingly staring at something near the staircase that wasn’t there.

“I think that was the head of the Aran Royal Guard, Rat, no, Raph, Rafter... no, uh yes! Raphe Truehelm, yup, that’s it.” Elisia said, heading towards the staircase.

“Ah...? Truehelm? Where have I heard of that before...?”

“Maybe it was something that... he, had mentioned when trying to put in place the Celesti Island Treaty?”

“No... before that... something I had heard when I was young about someone with that last name. Catherine... yes, I believe that was the name.”

“Huh? Catherine Truehelm... nope, not heard of her.”

Okay, I really need an explanation as to why I can write so much of this story, but none of my others.
