Just having arrived on the Carios Airlines, Crimson Asters and his companion Eevee, stepped out of the plane and took their first step into becoming a Pokémon Trainer.

"Alright Eevee, let's go to the Professor's lab to get our necessities," exclaimed the young soon-to-be trainer.

He was filled with excitement and you could hear it in his voice. Crimson's attire was consisted of a red-black-white hoodie, some black pants, red sneakers, a brown leather bag, and his ordinary glasses. Not very good attire for the hot radiating sun rays for the desert region, such as Carios. But he was planning to buy some more suitable clothing for the occasion anyways.

He grew up with Eevee in Sunnyshore City. He originally was supposed to start at the Sinnoh Region. However, already knowing most of the Pokémon there, he wanted a more of a broad and new variety of Pokémon. Thus, with some persuasion and convincing to his parents, they finally allowed him, along with Eevee, to go to the Carios Region. The brown furball purred with excitement as she nuzzled the 15 year old boy. You might be wondering, why is the trainer 15 year old and not starting at the age of 10? Well, many years gone by and now it's Poké Law that the minimum age to travel is 15. The younger years were to learn and study at school.

Giving out a huge sigh, Crimson sought out to find a cab, he needed to get to the lab as soon as possible.

"Taxi!" The young boy called out. "C'mon Eevee, let's go!"

The Pokémon gave a slight purr as it preps itself to be retreated. With a bright red flash, Crimson returned Eevee to her pokeball. The young boy stepped into the cab, stating his destination.

"Off to Tibalt Town please!" Crimson asked with a little too much enthusiasm as he sat down.

The ride was a long ride, but it was all worth it. Looking through the windows of the car, he saw many Pokémon that he have never seen before. There was a blue and yellow Pokémon flying in the sky. Some pink Pokémon with large tails climbed and glided between trees. What he thought to be was a mini oasis in the middle of a lake was to be a Pokémon with a palm tree-like tail with a large snout.

Finally, for what seemed like forever, he was standing right in front of Professor Persea's lab. Popping Eevee out of the pokeball, he wanted his companion to experience what he was experiencing.

"Eevee, the moment we step in there, we are gonna start our Pokémon journey," claimed Crimson.

He was stuttering a bit as he was nervous, but for the most part, he is excited to pursue his dream. Eevee cried out in agreement with excitement flashing before its eyes. Together the two opened the gleaming white door, only to be greeted by by a Pokémon flying, well, more like gliding onto Crimson's face.

"HEY! What the..?!?" Crimson exclaimed in shock. The little pink Pokémon clung onto his face as he tried to get it off his face.

"Oh my Arceus, I apologize! I’m so very sorry," A male voice exclaimed, seemingly a bit shaken. "Pixell! Apologize to him this instant!" The pink rodent, named Pixell, bowed its head signifying that it was apologizing for what it did.

"Oh its alright, I guess! No one got hurt I think," replied Crimson as he scratched the back of his head.

Eevee cried out in agreement to its trainer wagging its tail at the same time.

"Oh by the way, I'm here to see Professor Persea! Are you by any chance the professor," Crimson asked.

The stranger gave a slight chuckle. "Unfortunately I'm not the professor, I'm only her assistant. Let me introduce myself. My name is Raul and this is my partner Pixell." Pixell introduced itself with a slight cheer. Raul continued to speak. "If you would follow me, I'll take you to Professor Persea."

Following Raul, Crimson took notice to how big the laboratory was. There were rooms being used for experimentations and such. Looking down, Eevee, and her new companion Pixell, were having a good time between themselves.

"Hello! I'm Professor Persea, Dr. Raul said you wanted to see me?" A feminine voice asked breaking his train of thought.

Turning up his head, Crimson immediately saw a woman with a lab coat and a shaved side haircut.

"Ah yes! My name is Crimson Asters and I'm here to begin my Pokémon journey," Crimson exclaimed with pride and excitement in his voice. "My parents should've made arrangements with you to begin my journey I believe," Crimson continued and explained.

"Ah, yes... I remember now. Come this way, two other people are waiting just like you," the professor claimed.

Walking right behind her and with Eevee beside him, they arrived to a large room. Already there were two others in there. They seemed about the same age as him. One male. One female. One taller. The other shorter. Crimson was the height in between.

One of them waved at Crimson. "Hey, I'm Emerald Keiraros. Nice to meet you," the short girl said in a joyful tone.

She had thick locks of ombré hair that reached down to her shoulders. She wore a white t-shirt with a pale tan cardigan. She wore a pair of yellow sneakers along with a pastel yellow skirt that reached her thigh. She had brown eyes and a slender build.

Looking at the other male, he wore a grey pocket-tee with a navy blue hoodie. He had on a pair of light blue jeans and black Vans. He had brown eyes and his hair was slicked to the side, though mostly covered up by his hoodie.

"Hey, I'm Kelvin Blackwood. What's up?" Kelvin claimed as he gave a casual but comforting introduction.

Nodding at the other two peers, he introduced himself as well.

"Uh hey, my name is Crimson Asters." Crimson spoke in a quieter manner for he wasn't really fond of strangers, but he had to get used to it soon.

Professor Persea spoke up once again, smiling at the friendly environment. "Well now since you've all met, it's about time to give you your starters."

All three trainers crowded the table with pokeballs in excitement. "Crimson since you already have Eevee, I'll let the others go first."

Understanding the priorities, he stepped back. The order was decided through rock-paper-scissors. Emerald won the game. A small ‘yes’ could be heard, but Kelvin simply gave a shrug. "Since the order is decided, Emerald, you shall go first." Emerald nodded her head in acknowledgement.

Professor Persea stated and smiled. "Now first starter is Bunnalope" She exclaimed while throwing the pokeball at hand, with a bright red flash, a Pokémon appeared. It was green with bright pink eyes. It was a bunny with horns, giving it an appearance of some sort of jackalope. It looked up in a cute adorable fashion.

"Next is Coburnt!" With another flash, an orange snake Pokémon came out. It had deep blue eyes and a jewel on its forehead. It slid around to explore its surrounding.

"Lastly, but not least..... Slugob!" A blue slug-like Pokémon appeared the next moment. It's was slimy and not quite as active like the other.

"Well Emerald," Professor Persea began. "You do have the first pick."

Emerald contemplated her choice playing with a lock of her hair to concentrate. "I think I'll go with Bunnalope," Emerald said finally choosing her starter. Emerald picked it up as she spoke out. "It’s just so adorable!" Emerald squealed.

Kelvin already knowing that he was next, stood in front of the table. "I'll have to go with Slugob," calmly stated Kelvin. Giving no reason for his choice, he picked up Slugob and held it. “We’re going to get strong together!” He stepped back to allow the last of the 3 to 'choose' his starter.

"Well, I guess that leaves you and me buddy," Crimson exclaimed. Picking up Coburnt, it coiled around his neck, but not suffocating Crimson at the same time. Coburnt gave a hiss of approval already liking his trainer.

All three trainers looked up at Professor Persea expectantly to see what's next. But apparently, she was already ready for them.

Having a tablet in hand, she asked them, "If possible, may I have your smart phones? All unlocked as well please." She smiled as a glitter of light shine in her eyes. All three trainers handed in their unlocked phones.

"I'll be right back for a bit." The professor went into her office to work on their devices. While she was doing that, the three trainers were waiting in the lobby while their new Pokémon played.

"So, where are you guys from? I'm from the Sinnoh Region," Crimson asked initiating the conversation between the three.

"Well I'm from the Kalos Region," Emerald replied.

"I'm from Alola," Kelvin said after casually.

So apparently, all three traveled to start their journeys. The three were telling each other funny stories as they waited. They were all having a good time hanging out. Having some good fun and laughs they told each other their life basically while the Pokémon enjoyed themselves.

A few minutes later, Professor Persea came out of her office holding a couple of phones. She handed Crimson his 'new' phone with a crimson red back, Kelvin with a navy blue back, and Emerald with a golden yellow back.

"These are your new phones. I have transferred all your data into these phones. With our new technology, we were able to make smart phones with the incorporation of the Pokedexes. We call them PokePods." All three trainers grabbed their phones in amazement. Almost in synchronization, all three recorded their starter's data.

A monotone feminine voice appeared as Emerald's PokePod activated. "Bunnalope, the Jackalope Pokémon. This Pokemon can easily detect locations of berries and stores them inside its cheek. It uses its horn as a defense to opponents."

Turning his head toward Kelvin's PokePod, it scanned Slugob. "Slugob, the Sea Slug Pokémon. This Pokémon can easily blend itself when it's in water. It's slimy body protects it from the harsh environments."

Finally using his PokePod, Crimson scanned his Pokémon. A female voice appeared once again. "Coburnt, the Baby Cobra Pokémon. This Pokémon stays at arid deserts and uses its collar to store heat energy from the sun."

After testing out their PokePods, they turned their attention back to Professor Persea. She handed each of them five Pokeballs, as it was protocol for all beginning trainers.

"You guys are all set for your journey! If you need anything just give a call!" The professor proclaimed and smiled at them. Ushering them out of her laboratory, she gave them their starters' pokeball and everything.

"So where are you guys headed?" Emerald asked enthusiastically.

Crimson was the first to reply. "Well I'm planning to go challenge a gym and join a contest." He said that was enthusiasm for he is finally a Pokémon Trainer and Coordinator.

Kelvin responded with a calm attitude but smiled when he stated his goal. "I'm going to try to become an elite 4, but I have to challenge gyms in order to get there."

Emerald nodded at both of their answers. "As for me, I guess I was going to do Pokemon Showcases.”

Crimson looked at the two taller males and asked, "Would that make us rivals then?" Crimson asked referring to him being performance rivals with Emerald and gym rivals with Kelvin

Kelvin shook his head and gave a comforting smile at the shorter boy. "Well, more like a friendly rivalry."

Emerald smiled and asked, "How about we all travel together? It would be fun and not lonely!"

Both Kelvin and Crimson was a bit unsure and gave her questioning looks. "C'mon, we wouldn't want to break up our Pokemons' friendship!" Emerald said gesturing her hand towards the four Pokémon hanging out among themselves. Eevee was on top of Bunnalope while Slugob and Coburnt seemed to be talking with each other.

"I'll guess I'll join you, if Crimson here joins," Kelvin stated and looked at Crimson.

"Uhhh, I'll join if you two are fine with that." Crimson said with hesitation, still a bit shy of having to travel with practically strangers. But they did bond though,

The two of them nodded as Crimson smiled back shyly in response. They returned their starters while Eevee stayed beside Crimson. They walked out of Tibalt Town on their way to their first adventure.

I did lots of abbreviations before I expanded out my ideas, lots of abbreviations also happened in different language. “Hoang” was just the replacement name for Crimson. Lemme fix that real quick

It's good, but here are some grammatical errors I thought I'd adress (in order from top to bottom):
    • "Crimson Asters and his companion Eevee, stepped out of the plane and took their first step into becoming a Pokémon Trainer": This could do without the comma.
    • "Crimson's attire was consisted": Remove the word "was".
    • "...hot radiating sun rays for the desert region, such as Carios": Replace "the" with "a".
    • "...why is the trainer 15 year old": Make "year" plural.
    • "Well, many years gone by": Add "have" in between "many" and "years".
    • "...he saw many Pokémon that he have never seen before": Replace "have" with "had"
    • "...Pokémon clung onto his face as he tried to get it off his face": Too much repitition; Get rid of the "his face" at the end of the sentence.
    • "I'm going to try to become an elite 4": Make the "elite 4" sound more like a noun; "Elite Four member" or "a member of the Elite Four."
    • "Both Kelvin and Crimson was a bit unsure": Replace "was" with "were"

And yeah, those were all the errors I could find. Hope that was helpful.

Oh, and also...What's the deal with referring to Crimson as "Hoang"?

I agree with Godjacob about the 'clarifying why he's beginning his journey at age 15', but aside from that, this looks really good!

@Sarah316 You don't necessarily have to have a smartphone lmao
It was just to transfer their smartphone data onto the PokePod, such as regular irl when you want to get a new phone
A PokePod is just basically a new phone that also functions as a Pokedex

    Good stuff Crimson!

Although I have to ask, what if a trainer going to this region doesn't have a smart phone? Are there standard Pokedexes as a backup or are you screwed?

    Impressive start, I must say.

I don't think it was necessary to justify why your character is starting his journey at 15 rather than 10 in that fashion. Some trainers just start out later than others. However, this does give schools a function in this world so it really isn't anything one should have concern over.
