It had been a few days after Autumnpaw and her mentor,Stillleaf had journeyed to the moonpool,and Autumnpaw felt a bit different after her experience,even though it wasn't her first time,
"Autumnpaw!Autumnpaw are you there?"
Autumnpaw shook her head,she just realized that she was staring at Stillleaf blankly for the last few heartbeats."Sorry."She muttered.
"We are going to be battle training today."Her mentor announced.
"Really?I thought medicine cats don't fight."
"Well,sometimes they do."The medicine cat shrugged,"Just if they need to defend themselves."Stillleaf beckoned her tail for Autumnpaw to follow her."Come."
Stillleaf stopped when they finally got to the edge of the Thunderclan border."This is where we will be practicing."
"Okay."Autumnpaw nodded awkwardly.
"Attack me."Stillleaf mewed quickly.
Autumnpaw nodded and lunged toward Stillleaf with her claws sheathed,but Stillleaf was too quick,she slid out of the way just in time for Autumnpaw to send her face into the earth.
"You have to be faster then that."Stillleaf said,standing over Autumnpaw.Autumnpaw quickly got up and licked a few tufts on her chest fur that was standing out.
"Again."Stillleaf got into her position,ready for Autumnpaw to attack.
Remember,be quicker.Autumnpaw reminded herself,she then again lunged at Stillleaf faster this time,she then sent her mentor to the ground.Stillleaf quickly scrambled up and pinned Autumnpaw down,Autumnpaw started unbalancing her mentor by rolling around.Stilleaf hit the ground once more and immediately got up,she then dug her claws into Autumnpaw's side.Autumnpaw batted at Stillleaf face,Stillleaf let go of her apprentice,Autmnpaw then pinned the Thunderclan medicine cat to the ground and started nipping at her.Stillleaf then scrambled up,then started nipping at Autmnpaw's paws.Autumnpaw fell down of exhaustion.
"Great job for you first try."Stillleaf complimented.
"Thanks."Autumnpaw was warmed by her mentors praise and got up,she then looked at Stillleaf with concern."Are you okay?"
Stillleaf chuckled,"Of course I am!Remember?Are claws were sheathed."
"Oh yeah..."The young apprentice now felt like a complete mouse-brain now.
"Tomorrow I'll teach you some moves."Stillleaf told Autumnpaw,"I was just seeing your skills today,that's all."
"Okay."Autumnpaw nodded,and her mentor and her walked back to camp.
"Autumnpaw!Autumnpaw are you there?"
