Broken Ice

by NightRaven

NightRaven When a prophecy calls for six warriors to save the stars above, Raven is spoken to and told how she takes her role in the prophecy: she must die and be reincarnated to be Darkkit, one of Suncloud's three kits. She'll take on a new life and must hide her identity, which she had forgotten. StarClan have also granted her the power to hear things from far off, read minds of others, and great knowledge of both battle and herbs.
Will she be found out?
Raven curled up, exhaustion gripping her with dark claws that threatened to take her away. Sne allowed them to, with a sigh. She woke up in a forest with cats all around her, pale shapes shifting through the leaves. "Welcome, Raven," A voice murmured softly. She glanced over her shoulder to see a silver cat sitting there, yellow eyes glittering with starlight.
"Willowfire?" Raven murmured.
"Greetings," Willowfire murmured. "But there's something you need to know."
"What?" Raven wondered. What had she needed to know?
"There is a prophecy. Six must go on a long journey to save the stars from shattering."
"What do I have to do with it? The Clan cats want to kill me!"
"What you did in the past was a mistake, and there was no reason for your sister to cause all this turmoil because of it," Willowfire sighed. "But you're one of the six. However, I know a way for ylu to get by and fulfill your part."
"What?"
"You must die, be reincarnated as one of Suncloud's kits, and live in ThunderClan. But show no signs of being Raven at all." Willowfire murmured. Raven stared in terrified silence.
"But..."
"Do it or else the stars you've known to love will die!" Willowfire hissed. "Your mate is here, too, as well as your parents! You'll still see them!"
"Okay," Raven sighed, her voice shaking. "But how will I die?"
Her question was answered when claws were unsheathed behind her. Raven whipped around to see a large ginger tabby tom with blue eyes staring down at her. He lay her down with a sheathed paw and exposed her throat.
"This is a painless way." The tom murmured softly. "Forgive me." He raised a paw with unsheathed claws and struck down with full force on her throat, causing blood to fly and strike the ground and stain his paws red, part of his muzzle, and Raven's throat. Raven's eyes already had clouded to be sightless.
Her body faded, but her spirit lay behind, the same position, but without any scars except for the one on her eye. She was never going to wake up again...
