Average Day for Team Anomaly

by navycalamity

navycalamity Practice since I haven't written anything here in a while. It's late for me, so please just comment if I made any spelling mistakes.
"Hey! Fuchsia, I have a question!" A tawny-skinned Pansage shouted, swinging from a rope suspended from the roof of the small room Team Anomaly - their team name for the moment - occupied outside of forums, threads, or similar places. A Luxio peeked out of her tiny kennel built into the wall, red eyes staring upwards at the Pansage. Glancing around to find an angelic l Cherrim standing quietly on a shelf and a clump of violet leaves sticking out of the ground, she nosed her way past the dented metal sheet of a door and flicked her tail for Minty, the Pansage, to continue.
"Do you think we'll be getting any new team members? I know there's not many of us, but four of us isn't a lot." Fuchsia considered it, tilting her head and frowning in concentration when an annoyed mutter came from the shelf.
"Well... Shock wasn't a good idea, right? And there aren't any more like us looking for friends."
"Aw. I kinda wanted to get some more to join us. Can you talk to that ghost about it?"
"Sure." Minty jumped down from the rope when Fuchsia agreed and reached up to pat her mane. Tolerant of the Pansage's whims, Fuchsia let the unexplained gesture slide and turned back to her kennel.
"Wouldn't it be better for you to go find him now?" Minty suggested. "He only checks on us once a day, and that happened already."
"It did? Must've slept through it... I'll be back!" Fuchsia decided before turning tail and racing through the medium sized opening in the door.

The Cherrim snickered at Fuchsia's sudden exit and climbed down a series of shelves installed for that purpose.
"There's nothing to do, none of the shippers are online." She complained, looking behind her at the violet leaves that waved slightly at her voice. "Actually, I'll get Sy to come with me. I wanna go talk to that Meowstic. She's cool."
If all his friends were going out, then Minty might as well join in. He left before the Cherrim could tug Sy out of the ground, coming across his Luxio friend in a hall very quickly.
"He's thinking about it." Was the news, which Minty decided to take optimistically.
"Great! Hey, let's go battle someone, the rest of the team is with Tierra."
"...Okay. Double, with Shade and Fury?" Minty nodded, seeing he had awakened Fuchsia's interest in staying out for a while. "I'll be there first." The Luxio stated before speeding away, giving Minty little choice but to follow, laughing the entire way.

Shade's conversation with a certain ghostly Krokorok was interrupted, the reptile disappearing when that group of childish mutations came rushing in like they did every morning. He didn't have time to leave the room, however, before the lanky Pansage and his sidekick approached him.
"H-hi! Can we battle you?" Minty asked, and Shade nodded. "Great!" The Luxio mewed and ran towards one of Shade's teammates to ask the same question, presumably. He was dragged towards the battle ground and out of earshot before he could hear anything. The Frogadier took up his usual post in the corner of the room, ready for the fight to begin.
"That was great!" Fury barked, the sound grating on Shade's ears. He tuned out the rest of what they were saying, and after a short while, slipped away to resume his conversation with Shock.

"That was rude," Fuchsia muttered, noticing Shade's disappearance. "Hey Minty, can we get some food?"
"Yes! In fact... you look tired. Stay here. I'll be right back." The monkey darted away before Fuchsia could argue to go with him, so she just yawned and lay down with a side look at the Growlithe, who was sitting and staring thoughtfully at her.
"Has Saccha tried getting you two in a relationship yet?"
"A few times. Why are you asking?"
"No need to be defensive. It's just a question."
"Okay then." An awkward silence settled into place for a few minutes, Fuchsia sitting up when she heard Minty's puttering steps.
"Hello~! I have returned with eatables~!" Minty sung, clumsily managing to throw a golden berry which Fuchsia managed to spear on her red star tail-tip and consume quickly. "Here you go, Fury!" He placed a small pile of miscellaneous food items in front of the Growlithe, which Fury promptly investigated. The singing had attracted Saccha and Syren, as Fuchsia could smell the lavender aroma which always marked the Oddish's presence.
"We're here!"
"Can we have food too?"
They asked simultaneously, which made the Cherrim chuckle. Syren, as blank looking as usual, shuffled further into the room. Minty smiled at him and placed part of a muffin in front of the Oddish, giving Saccha a couple sweet berries while Syren scarfed his offering down.
"Well... Minty, I'm going back to the team fort for a while." Fuchsia announced, waiting for a necessary nod of approval from the leader. Her request was granted, and one unpleasant cherry-scented hug from Saccha later, she had teleported back to her cabinet-den. Clawing the carpeted wall proved to be relaxing, and soon she was napping on the deliberately torn-up blanket.
