An encounter with Marko

Vaultie's gonna kill me o o f. Welp, this is a continuation of Eien Ni's story so yeh. Here we goooooo!

The bright warm Alolan sun guided Evie, Guzma, and I through our errands. We bought new fabrics in the market place and I even made Guzma try on a few new outfits. "Yo, how much longer do I have to deal with this?" Guzma wined as we walked to my place on Route 2

"Not long"

On the horizon, was my dear friend, Marko. "Aye Eien ni!" his dark skin seemed to glow in the daylight

"Marko!" I shouted with joy. Guzma looked in the distance, "Marko!?"

"Guzma. I see you've changed a bit."

"Yeah, I have. I see you have too." He snarled towards him

I pulled Guzma back lightly and caressed his arm, "Marko, be nice to him. He is special to me."

"SPECIAL!?" one screamed with delight while the other just, well, screamed

"Uh huh! And if you're going to be any more rude, then we'll be on our way."

We started to walk away as Marko yelled to us, "I hope you know that you're 'dating' an ex-team leader! The leader of Team skull!"

Guzma clicked. He turned around, gave the bags to me, and walked towards Marko. "I've changed. Ok? You see this? Do ya see me? I'm not that type of guy anymore. If you wanna battle me for Melody, then battle me. We'll go, one on one."

Marko smirked, "I can't pass up that challenge."

Marko sent out Magmar, while Guzma sent out his Golisopod and had a good starring contest with the other male.

"Magmar use Fire Punch!" the first move was said

"Golisopod dodge and use Razor Shell"

It was a critical hit; Magmar was almost down.

"Ughhhhh! Magmar use Ember."

Golisopod missed the puny move and finished the weak Magmar off with rock smash

"Alright Magmar let's go. You've won this time Guzma, but next time is your loss." he turned and left

I ran up to hug Guzma, "thanks! I've been wanting him to leave me alone for so long. Now I feel free. Thank you so much!"

His pale face turned lush and pink really quickly as a stupid, yet all admittedly cute, smile stretched across his face "you're welcome mi-...Melody"

Golisopod helped get the rest of the groceries into the house. "Alright big guy, get back in the ball. Ya did good today." Guzma put the ball on my kitchen counter then plopped on my couch and turned on the TV.

"Wait a minute, I gotta go home soon. Gah, I forgot."

"You don't have to. You could, maybe, stay here right?"

"Maybe. Whatcha tryna say?"

"I, kinda, really enjoy your company and I'd like you to stay the night with me."

"Ya know what...I like your company too, Melody. You're sweeter than most people I've met."

"Aw, that's sweet in itself! I think you're sweeter than people give you credit for."

The night went on and the moon raised itself into the sky. As I went to sleep in my room, Guzma snuck in and whispered "Aye, it's dark and kinda quiet and not too warm in the living room. Do you, uhhhh....do you mind me sharing the same bed with you for tonight?"

I patted the free part of the bed as he eagerly hopped under the covers and curled into a ball, "oh, Guzma, here."

I turned around to cuddle him, "warm enough?"

"Yeah, goodnight mis-I mean... Goodnight Melody."

"goodnight Guzma."
...."I hope ya get used to this" I thought to myself as I closed my gentle eyes.
