The floor opened up beneath them...

Everything happened so fast. Ava didn't have time to start screaming as they plunged down the tunnels. Left... Right... Left... Right... There were so many twists and turns, the tunnels were overgrown slides almost. She finally hit the ground. So did the others that piled on top of her from the fall. She managed to free herself from the dog pile of figures on top of her and stood up. Clearing her eyes, she realized the only ones with her were Litleo, Scyther, and Eevee. Elijah was nowhere to be seen. Eevee, who was incredibly frightened, ran and jumped into Ava's arms. Litleo, who was only young, didn't really understand the severity of the situation. Scyther stood silently and waited for instructions. "ELIJAH??" shouted Ava at the top of her lungs. She had no idea what to do.

The walls were too thick, Elijah didn't hear here screams. He too was stranded in a dark corridor beneath the ground. However, Froakie and Fennekin stood by his side. Froakie climbed up to Elijah's shoulder. Fennekin seemed frightened as well, all she wanted was to be safe with Ava again. Elijah knelt down and scratched Fennekin's ear, "We'll find her." He said reassuringly. "We have to..."

Ava knew her screams were of no use. She sat down on the cold, dusty floor. She wasn't one for planning, she typically left that to Elijah. However, Elijah wasn't currently here right now, so it was her time to plan. "The only way to go is forward..." Ava said aloud. Scyther nodded, he already figured that out. "Well.. Let's go then." The four of them marched forward. Eevee hiding in her arms, Scyther buzzing around quietly behind her, and Litleo prancing forward and backwards enjoying himself. They came to a dead end with words carved on the wall. They read:

Don't fret young traveler your doom is yet not. Solve this riddle and the path with open to thee. Speak the words of RaJ-Pro-7 and you will be free.

Ava was bewildered, "What is RaJ-Pro-7" She thought. The Pokemon were no use, they couldn't read. "RaJ... RaJ?" She was completely clueless. She whipped out her Pokedex, sadly with no wireless connection, most of the features were unavailable. However, what was available was the decode feature. She held it up to the writing on the wall. It read:

Romeo and Juliet-Prolouge-7

Her eyes lit up, she had always been a poetry nerd and had read everything that Shakespeare had ever written, twice at that. She knew Romeo and Juliet like the back of her hand. "If I remember correctly, line 7 of the Prologue reads, 'A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life'" She said confidently. Just with the mention of that lines, the war began to rumble, the wall blocking them from moving was slid to the right by some unable-to-see mechanism. Ava shrugged and her and the three Pokemon with her moved forward.

Elijah came across his own dead end with the same riddle on it. "We don't have time for this..." Elijah explained. "Froakie use Water Pulse to blast that wall out!" Froakie obeyed and the wall was no more. He continued walking just as Ava's group did. Sounds and footsteps echoed around both groups as the trudged on from the seemingly endless passageway. Elijah had been walking as he had been walking. However, he felt it foot sink as he stepped on a false stone in the ground. He watched in horror as that stone plunged 100 feet to and endless pit of darkness below. He also noticed how the stones around it began falling. If that wasn't bad, the walls to their sides began moving inwards. If they didn't get out they would either fall to their death or be crushed alive.

Strangley, Ava didn't seem to have a problem with any faulty stones and traps. Her pathway led to a very well-lit library. Something was off though, things were moving. Books flapped around as it they were birds, tablecloths soared through the sky like Skarmory, and chair bounced around like Buneary. As soon as Ava and her group made themselves noticeable, the object began floating around them in circles. Ava wasn't sure if she should be frightened or thrilled. She felt a tap on her shoulder and spun around faster than anything you've ever seen. Behind our group stood a ghostly figured of a pale, old man. "Welcome to our 'Sanctuary' of sorts." The man said. Ava stood mortified. "Do not fear me, child. The reason you are here is because you have solved the riddle that many have failed to solve." Ava cleared her fear, "That's great and all, but I'm looking for my friend." "Ah the young boy that fell with you?" The man asked. Ava nodded.

The man appeared to be grieved by her answer. "The boy you speak of will soon be no more. Unlike you, he failed the riddle and must now pay the ultimate price." Ava's eyes began filling with tears. "No..." She whispered. "There has to be a way! PLEASE! I beg you, please spare him..." She began crying. The man had his answer, she did love him. The old man smiled and disappeared. Ava awoke to her lying next to Elijah on the warm, green grass. Their Pokemon spread around them. She noticed Elijah was waking up as well. They both stood up and hugged each other. "I didn't think I would ever see you again." Ava explained. "Surprise!" replied Elijah. They both burst into laughter. They finished their hugs and turned to where the chateau used to sit. It was no longer there.

Our heroes turned and nodded to each other and walked off into the sunset. "I'm starving..." muttered Elijah.
