It had been almost 3 weeks since they had left Lumiose City. Our heroes were now finally arriving in Laverre City after their long trek and we’re finally ready to challenge the sixth Kalos Gym Leader!
“CLOSED?!?!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN CLOSED??!!” Macy whined, slamming her fist on the wall of the Gym.
She had been very pumped up to participate in another Gym Battle just as the rest of our heroes. But sadly, the Gym was closed and wouldn’t be open until tomorrow.
“Guess we gotta find something to do while we wait for tomorrow.” Alex stated.
“Ava, can you look on your map thingy and see what there is to do here.” Elijah continued.
“It seems like the Pokeball Factory is here and it offers tours. Seems like it could be kinda fun.” Ava replied.
“Pokeball Factory? That sounds awesome!” Macy said cheering up.
“It’s settled then. Pokeball Factory, here we come.” Elijah insisted.
Our heroes opened the double doors to the Pokeball Factory and spoke with a man at the front desk. They purchased 4 tickets for a tour of the factory and set off by themselves.
The walked past Ultra Balls pressers, Dive Ball pressers, and almost every type of Pokeball press you could think of.
“Do you all make Master Balls here?” Ava asked one of the factory workers curiously.
“Master Balls are created in special laboratories and distributed secretly. We do not make them here.” The worker replied.
Ava nodded. Bummer…
BOOM!
An explosion rocked the factory and it shook violent the ground.
“What in the world was that?” Alex asked curiously.
“Did one of the machines blow up?” Elijah asked.
“Not likely. Our factory is very secure.” The worker replied.
“Let’s go check it out.” Ava insisted.
The others nodded and followed her lead.
Elijah was impressed. Ava was standing up and taking lead. Brave and bold. She had certainly evolved from the shy girl he met when he arrived in Kalos.
They arrived at a section of the hallway clouded in smoke.
“This looks like the place.” Macy pointed out.
“Undoubtedly.” Ava followed up.
Elijah peered into a window next to them to see what was in the room with smoke pouring out of it. He noticed figures in red uniforms that didn’t work here rushing around. Then he noticed the big “F” on the clothing.
“Team Flare…” Ava said peering into the room next to Elijah.
“Not them again…” Alex said sighing.
“Who’s Team Flare?” Macy asked curiously.
It just occurred to Elijah that they hadn’t battled Team Flare since Macy had joined the group.
“It’s a team of evil-doers who hurt people and Pokemon to achieve their ultimate goal of planetary destruction.” Alex replied.
Macy looked blankly at Alex, “Right…” She said not believing him.
“He’s telling the truth,” Ava confirmed. “They’re lead by a man called Parteon. They’re claiming to be a revival of the old Team Flare that attacked Kalos 10 years ago. They’re here to finish Lysandre’s old goal of destruction.”
Macy clenched her fist. She wasn’t going to stand for that.
“Scizor, let’s go!” Macy called out, throwing Scizor’s Pokeball into the air.
Elijah opened his mouth in shock. He wasn’t aware she had a Scizor.
He looked at Scyther’s Pokeball and threw it into the air as well.
Scyther emerged from the ball fired up to battle. It turned and saw Scizor, it’s evolution, standing in front of it. Scizor sneered and turned away. Scyther was enraged.
“Ehheh… Looks like there’s a rivalry at first meet.” Alex said laughing.
Elijah scratched his head awkwardly and Macy sighed.
“Whatever, Dragonite, let’s go!” Alex said chucking its Pokeball out.
Ava threw Fennekin’s ball as her choice.
They rushed into the smoke-filled room and were greeted by a group of annoyed-looking Team Flare Grunts who didn’t want to be bothered.
They sent out their opposing Pokemon consisting of Liepard, Golbats, and a Pyroar.
“Metal Claw!”
“Bullet Punch!”
“Flame Charge!”
“Aqua Tail!”
Our heroes all called out in sync. The opposing Pokemon were defeated just like that.
They rushed past the grunts and went further into the room, covering their mouth from the smoke.
They noticed another group of Team Flare Grunts gathered around a table while they stuffed items into a bag.
Macy noticed the items they were stuffing were Pokeballs. And not just any Pokeballs at that, Masterballs.The others saw it too and wondered why the guy before said they didn’t make them here.
“Hands off those Masterballs!” Alex called out.
The grunts turned to the noise.
“Now what do we have here,” One of the grunts asked. “Looks like a traveling circus of children. Let’s teach them a lesson for interfering.”
The grunts sent out their Pokemon to combat our heroes.
Alex rolled up his sleeves and revealed his Z-Ring he used back at the Lumiose Gym. It had a different crystal in it than before. Macy stared at it in awe, she didn’t know he had anymore than the Incinium-Z from before.
“Let’s do this, Dragonite,” Alex called out. “Devastating Drake!”
A dragon made out energy was released by Dragonite and the opposing Pokemon fainted instantly as before.
“Showoff…” Macy complained.
Alex grinned and they ran over to the bag they grunts were putting the stolen items in. They left the grunts lying on the ground and ran back to the staff that was standing outside in anticipation of what happened to them.
The worker from before stepped forward and took the bag of Masterballs from them. He thanked them for their incredible work. The police showed up and took the Grunts to custody as they deserved.
“We can’t thank you enough for your help, truly.” The worker stated.
“It’s really no big deal. But one thing was bugging me, I thought you said you didn’t produce Masterballs here.” Ava replied.
The worker grinned, “Yeah, but I also said they were made in secret. Wouldn’t be much of a secret if I told you all would it?”
Ava smiled, “I guess not.”
Our heroes waved to the staff of the factory as they left for the Gym.
Macy hit Alex on the head with her fist.
“Ow… what was that for?” Alex asked rubbing his bump on his head.
“When were you going to tell us you had another Z-Crystal! How many others do you have in there!?” Macy replied angrily trying to reach for his bag.
“Hey stop! That’s my bag! Get Away! I promise that’s all of them!” Alex said running from Macy.
The two ran off, Macy still going for his bag.
Elijah and Ava walked slowly behind them and laughed.
Elijah looked at Ava seriously, “Are you ready for the Gym Battle tomorrow?” He asked.
Ava turned to him and looked down at the ground, “I hope…”
