Ditto in Alola have lost their ability to transform due to them replicating the original Alolan Ditto. A trainer gave their Ditto a bag of ground-up Dragon Plate, not knowing what it was, to increase Ditto's stats like Quick and Metal Powder. Now, Ditto are much stronger but a lot less versatile in battle.
