It wasn't quite morning yet ,and Reio still wanted to go to the beach before the moon fell once more. It was still fairly dark ,but also early in the morning as well. Fishermen were now waking up ,and had baited fishing rods ,and were on the piers ready to catch a magikarp or something.
As Reio floated towards the beach, one of the first things that caught his attention was a small sandygast which looked a little strange. It was missing it's shovel. The sandygast looked furious. When the sandygast and Reio locked eyes, the sandygast crawled over to him, like a snail sliding across the sandy beach. "Did you see the kid that took my shovel?! When I find him, I'm gonna teach him a lesson he will never forget!" Sandygast yelled.
"Hmmmm... I'm sorry to say, I haven't seen any young delinquents running around with shovels lately. I'll keep an eye out if I see one" Reio said with a concerned tone. "Hrm! Good! You can't go around stealing things that don't belong to you! If I find him, I'll let you know!" the sandygast said turning away in a huff. Reio let out a jolly laugh ,and continued walking down the beach. He kept an eye out for someone running around with a shovel ,but was also looking for someone with a soul to take. Maybe enjoy the scenery a little while longer.
Near the waters edge, a trail of corsala bits could be seen in the sand. It would seem a toxapex had made it's home in the nearby area. They weren't native to Kalos so Reio was interested to see how it's time here would go. Though he didn't feel like following the trail to its end.
Reio decided to continue looking for a kid with a shovel ,and along the way he managed to snag two people's souls for himself. A palossand or the sandygast from earlier would clean up the leftovers that Reio left behind.
Reio eventually came across a pyukumuku who was just sitting on the beach laying there. "Excuse me... Did you see a kid or someone with a shovel?" Reio said. The pyukumuku looked at Reio confused, "A what?" I've been here for a couple hours after I got washed up on shore. I did see some people ,but I couldn't tell if they had a shovel or not" The Pyukumuku said. "thanks for that" Reio said. "Could you toss me back into the ocean please?" Pyukumuku asked. "Sure thing!" Reio said tossing pyukumuku back into the ocean.
When Reio finally spotted sandygast, he was standing next to a charizard stuffed animal. The sandygast looked more cheerful and carefree now. Reio wondered who dropped the toy. Either way, sandygast had his shovel back, "I found my shovel! I found it! That shovel thief won't steal any more shovels!" Sandygast said cheerfully. "Delightful!" Reio said cheerfully.
Reio decided to sneak up on some of the people on the pier. They had scuba diving suits on ,and looked like they were about to hop into the water. Reio didn't care for swimming ,but he enjoyed exploring. Reio sunk into the waters depths. Morning would be creeping up on Reio soon enough ,but Reio knew he had plenty of time to explore a little bit more before heading home.
