So there they were, Becca staring Piper down stiffly. Piper, studying something on her shoes. Becca let out a breath. Piper looked up. Then they both burst out laughing. I didn't know what was so hilarious.
"Why does this always happen?" Becca giggled, as she couldn't contain herself. Piper laughed loudly and cleared her throat.
"You have a new team member- two actually." She giggled back, as she gave Becca dratini's ball and a Raichu. Becca recoiled.
"Where the heck did you find him?! Piper. Lord Arceus knows you didn't steal him. Right?" She squeaked. This time Piper threw back her head and collapsed, laughing.
"Who jumps to conclusions now? It's Pikachu!" She managed to choke out, then spluttering with laughter again she stopped talking. Becca's jaw dropped.
"You meathead." I started to chuckle to Pikachu- no wait. Raichu. He just stared blankly. While the girls were laughing, I took him to a puddle of water. He looked and his eyes sparkled. I waited for his shock, fear, anger.
"Quilava... I- I look so good." He breathed. I sighed and leaned on him.
"You're stupid." I grumbled.
