It's really in this set of comics where Azure cements himself as the kind of guy who'd rather talk his way out of a bad situation. To the best of my recollection, this rarely works for him, but to be fair it rarely works for anyone else when they try it too (Blue has an especially memorable time of it later down the road). Azure doesn't have many other ways out of bad situations - we've seen him stab a cow with a paintbrush, but he can't count on that working all the time.
On a side note, I'm pretty sure that nobody else has ever said "stab a cow with a paintbrush" before in the history of language, so points there, I guess.
