Wyatt’s plot/AU setting

The character I am going to be picking back up is Anthony Wyatt Aberforth, a dark type Pokémon trainer and private investigator.

A former undercover detective from Unova who got a little too lost in his cover was pulled from his case and transferred to Cerulean City PD. Anthony found himself pressed to retire early from the police department there and soon did just that. With his limited funds he purchased a Houndour egg from a Houndoom breeder and opened up his own private investigative service.

Initially, Wyatt will be investigating small cases that link together into a grander scale and during that time frame he will be building his Pokémon team. His initial adventure will take place in Kanto and will heavily involve Team Rocket! Adventures after that will be planned by the group of people who join in on his investigative company!

Wyatt’s world is heavily based off of a darker version of the Pokémon adventures manga. Pokémon in this world are considered extremely dangerous and as such there will be a measure of risk involved in every case or adventure. (Please note: character or Pokémon injuries/deaths are completely optional but this is a darker and grittier world.)

However, in Wyatt’s world heroes never arose to take down criminal organizations and as such they have been allowed to not only run rampant, but flourish. Due to this, the characters involved can aid in taking down or becoming involved in different criminal teams (based on the region we are currently in.) The ending of each campaign being decided by character/writer involvement!

This being said, please do not apply as Mary/Gary Sues. There are no main characters out of the gate and characters cannot have knowledge that doesn’t make sense. In addition, I would prefer everyone to start out as relatively new trainers in this world, that way teams can be built as the story itself evolves.

If interested, please post here and then PM me! I look forward to writing with all volunteers!

CASE FILE #KAN-001

REDACTED FAMILY HAS HIRED THE COMPANY TO INVESTIGATE THE DISAPPEARANCE OF A MISSING CHILD. CHILD’S GENDER IS MALE, AGE SIX, BROWN HAIR, BROWN EYES, WHITE COMPLEXION, RESPONDS TO THE NAME LIAM. CHILD LAST SEEN NEAR THE CAVERN MOUTH OF MOUNT MOON, CERULEAN CITY SIDE. DAYS MISSING, THREE

PERSONAL NOTES: THE FAMILY HAS PROVIDED A TOY WITH LIAM’S SCENT ON IT. DESPITE THE SCENT TRAIL FOR HOUNDOUR TO FOLLOW, I DO NOT EXPECT TO FIND THE CHILD, AT LEAST NOT ALIVE. TWO NIGHTS IN THE ZUBAT INFESTED CAVERNS OF MOUNT MOON DOES NOT BODE WELL. I WILL BE HIRING OUTSIDE CONSULTANTS FOR THIS INVESTIGATION TO COVER MORE GROUND.

Ooc information: Wyatt has been hired to search for a young boy named Liam who had gone missing in the depths of Mount Moon. During this adventure the participants will encounter swarms of Zubats, amongst other threats. Due to a lack of a dm we will be using D10 dice rolls to determine density of swarms, effectiveness of attacks, and other important actions. This is a break down and sign up for the first event! Please post the name of your character and a trainer card with their starter!

Intrigued voice: I am curious. Do you have a specific region in mind? Cause I'm thinking of making a character with knowledge about that crime syndicate specific to its area. Also how many pokemon can we have at the start?

Since Wyatt begins in Kanto, I’m going to have Kanto be our starting region. As for starters? 1-2 preferable but you can start with as many Pokémon as you want. I’d like for no one to have fully developed and highly experienced teams though.

Hello there,

May I ask what sort of writing style you are going to be writing in? I particularly like the more para-rp style as opposed to extremely short posts. I do like the idea of a more grittier world of Pokemon and I think your run through of ideas sounds like fun. I'm a water specialist type writer so I think your character's dark/fire type would make a great contrast and interesting repertoire.

My average post length ranges from 500 to 2,000 words depending on a variety of things. But yeah, I tend to shy away from overly short posts.
