Ask to Join World Team Pokémon, Battles Between Regions

I'm not saying get rid of them just yet. XD I'm just explaining what I would try to do, but it would be difficult to do. But this isn't my RP, so don't go sitting out your characters just yet. XD Mango has yet to decide.

I mean, we could always do the NPC thing, and this RP already requires a lot of commitment anyway. It would be safer and easier to do than trying to reduce the events.

If we get rid of partner doubles I would just replace it with an event that only takes one trainer. We still need an odd number of events so a winning team can be decided. Potentially 3vs3 team battles, meaning each trainer gets 3 Pokémon but it’s still like a traditional battle so they only send one Pokémon out at a time?

So we have a 3v3 that is basically a triple fight with all 6 Pokemon on the field (3 from each opponent), and then we have a more 3v3 singles fight where only 2 Pokemon are out at once (1 from each opponent).

That sounds better :3 if we do this, I'll give Sarah more Pokemon. We can probably call it 3v3 Singles while the other can be called 3v3 Triple

Alright, if a couple more people agree we can switch to it! @Hecotoro you can switch one of the twins to a different event if you would like while the other stays at 3v3 singles

Name: Corsen Smith (I'm running out of names here.)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Black hair that he leaves sticking up and forward, a light tan, and hazel eyes.
Outfit: a dark gray polo (He leaves the collar up.) and a black jacket that's probably two sizes too big. (He has the sleeves rolled up. He likes the way it hangs off, and rarely takes the jacket off, even in scorchingly hot weather.) He carries his Pokeballs on a leather belt, and makes sure that they are always in a specific order, as he relies on muscle memory to pick who will go into battle. He wars black sweatpants and red sneakers, and well as a silver watch.
Personality: Somewhat shy, but opens up after a conversation or two. He takes rivalships seriously, and refuses to go all out until it "matters the most." He has too much pride, and can get antisocial and seclusive all of the sudden. He usually doesn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but doesn't intend to make strong bond with anyone he might end up fighting. He refuses to put his pride on the shelf, which often leads to him losing because he refuses to use a strategy that's not his. He's friendly towards his Pokemon, and doesn't exactly approve of Mega-evolution, Life Orbs, or andy of the health draining items like such. (Mega evo. is an exception. He just doesn't like the thought of forcing his Pokemon to overload themselves with power. Unless the Pokemon has actual consent, Corsen views such trainers as power hungry.)
Hometown: Slateport City, Hoenn
Team: Hoenn Eons
Event: 3v3s
Competitive Pokémon:
So, uh... I kinda tripped right here, not gonna lie... do say something if I did something wrong.
Pokemon: Blaziken
Nickname: Kasai
Ability: Speed Boost
Item: Fighting Plate
Notes: Blaziken was his starter at the beginning of Corsen's journey. They're quite close, and Blaziken picked up on Corsen's habits, often copying Corsen's movements.
Moves:
-Power-up Punch
-Blaze Kick
-Low Kick
-Thunder Punch
Pokemon: Salamence
Nickname: Baku
Ability: Moxie
Item: Focus Sash
Notes: Salamence has only been with Corsen for about a year now. Baku still tends to have a rebellious streak, so Corsen won't call on him unless there's an emergency. Unless Kasai is out. Then Corsen will often send Baku out to support Kasai with a Tailwind.
Moves:
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
-Dragon Tail
-Tailwind
Pokemon: Zoroark
Nickname: Arkham
Ability: Illusion
Item: Black Glasses
Notes: Zoroark was traded to Corsen as a Zorua shortly after he obtained Brawly's Gym Badge (His second badge)
Moves:
-Night Slash
-Extrasensory
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
Pokemon: Metagross
Nickname: N/A
Ability: Clear Body
Item: Metal Coat
Notes: Metagross and Corsen haven't been partners for very long, so Metagross will often hesitate to attack if they're about to faint.
Moves:
-Bullet Punch
-Meteor Mash
-Psychic
-Hammer Arm
Companion Pokémon: Minun
Backstory: He hasn't been too far around the block. He completed the Gym trials, but never passed the Hoenn championships.
He set out on his Pokemon quest at the age of ten, like most people. He chose Torchic as his starter, and had a smooth run. It took him about two years to pass the Gym Trials, as he often took breaks and "vacations" to sightsee, and it stacked up. In the end however, he passed the trials and went onto the Hoenn Championships, failing pretty hard after he was crushed by another trainer sometime around the final 16 mark. After the defeat, which hadn't bothered Corsen all too much, he returned home for a couple of months before leaving.

While he was home, the defeat had started out as an 'oh well' kind of scenario. He was still considered a strong trainer, as it was the final 16, but as time went on, it clawed at him more and more. He eventually decided that it was time to do something about his itch. He left only a month after returning to focus on training his partners. After he decided he was ready, he left Slateport to test out his new strengths. By this time, in only two months, he had become someone with too much pride. He refused help during his trainings, and eventually left the gyms to train in various environments. He returned home the day of his 17th birthday, and is often back and forth between home and whatever training grounds he thinks are suitable.
I did it. Only took an hour lol.

Hey another Slateport resident! Accepted under the condition that you make him a bit older.... I believe everyone in this rp also agrees that the notion of trainers beating gyms at age 10 is pretty insane so we’ve all tried to stick to at least 16+

Alright, I fixed that.
(I'm honestly trying to make this fit the limit of three sentences, but I don't really have anything to say. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Alright so we haven’t gained anyone in 3 days so it’s time to take action. I’m switching partner doubles to singles 3v3 (meaning they have 3 Pokémon but they send them out in singles like a normal battle). If any of you want to switch your characters to this position or create a new one for it let me know. It should probably be the second strongest trainer on the team so some of you with more powerful characters may want to consider it. After that I will fill in the blanks with my own characters. If there are any of you who feel you can be impartial I would appreciate any help filling in the holes.

Additionally I will allow you to have more than one character on a team, however, you still cannot have more than one trainer for an event unless you talk to me about it.

Name: Sylvia Revi
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance: Sylvia has long blonde hair and blue eyes, and stands at a height of 5'6. She has very light freckles and pale skin, and has a slim build.
Outfit: Casually, she wears a pink t-shirt under denim overalls with white running shoes. For the competition, this is changed to a white dress with black ballet flats.
Personality: Very calm and reserved, Sylvia's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She's very soft-spoken and has trouble meeting people, and never hurts others physically or emotionally if she can help it. Though insults bounce off her like a rubber ball, she can be severely emotionally affected if she believes she's harmed another person physically or emotionally. She's not very competitive, but she is extremely proud to be representing her home region of Johto - even though her parents aren't very happy about it.
Hometown: Small farm near New Bark Town
Team: Johto Towers
Event: Whatever's left
Competitive Pokémon: (I will put the full info for each 'mon later.)
Petal the Meganium (F, Ability: Overgrow)
Miao the Meowstic (F, Ability: Keen Eye)
Azure the Lucario (M, Ability: Steadfast)
Charisma the Leafeon (F, Ability: Chlorophyll)
Mina the Cinccino (F, Ability: Technician)
Puff the Ribombee (F, Ability: Shield Dust)
Companion Pokémon: Mischief the Zorua (M)

I can make another character. :3 Will this do?
Name: Bishop (I couldn't think of a surname, sorry.)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: A slight tan, brown eyes, and black hair. (For the first time in a good while I have a reference. The short and tousled hair from UM/US)
Outfit: A black polo shirt (He keeps the collar up.) Black (again, dunno if there's a difference but male) capris, a white backpack (Where he keeps his stuff, idk...) and white sneakers.
Personality: Pretty chatty, though he doesn't like fighting his own friends.
Hometown: Malie City
Team: Alola Ultras
Event: 1v1s
Competitive Pokémon:
Pokemon: Lycanroc (Midnight)
Nickname: Lycan
Ability: Keen Eye
Item: Lycanium Z
Notes: A small scar etched beneath its left eye. He has a pretty short temper, and tends to use head-butting moves more that anything else.
Moves:
Iron Head
Stone Edge
Zen Headbutt
Hyper Voice

Companion Pokémon: N/A
Backstory: He started his journey at the age of 10 (like most any trainer) after being given an egg that hatched into a Rockruff. He set out, completed the Trials, and challenged the league. He failed somewhere around the Semi-finals after his Lycanroc threw a temper tantrum. Of course, his other Pokemon were fainted at the time, so after Lycanroc fell out of 's control, it ended with the other trainer easily wipe out Lycanroc. After the league, he set his other Pokemon aside and focused on Lycanroc's temper. It helped, but not much. Lycanroc's temper is still very short.

Looks great, Accepted!
@EeviumZ yours is also accepted, she will be johto 3v3 singles

Fixed her.

Name: Sarah Ilia
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Appearance: She has super pale skin and is about 5'06" (167.6 cm) and weighs 120 lbs (54.4 kg). She is quite skinny, but has a bit of tone to her muscles as she occasionally works out with her Pokemon. She has dark green hair and icy blue eyes.
Outfit: Her usual outfit consists of a long sleeved shirt and a short skirt with thigh high socks and dress shoes with a buckle. She also has an icy blue purse that has little crystals dotting the zipper. Her shirt is usually white and her skirt is usually a light forest green, with white socks and light green shoes with a white buckle. She may also wear a teal green scarf and a longer skirt if the weather is cold and then a combination of a teal green scarf, a longer skirt, and an icy blue parka if it's as cold as her hometown. She has a Z-Ring around her right wrist and she has Icium-Z and Grassium-Z on standby.
Personality: She is quite distant from everyone but her Pokemon. This can make her quite difficult to work with people, as she tends to do things her way and expects people to follow her way. She will rarely ever have other people take the lead unless she knows none of her strategies would work. Despite this cold exterior, she's quite warm and sweet on the inside.
Hometown: Snowpoint City, Sinnoh
Team: Sinnoh Dreamers
Event: 3v3 Singles
Pokemon: Female Abomasnow - [TYPE]Grass[/TYPE][TYPE]Ice[/TYPE]
Nickname: Yeta
Ability: Snow Warning - When sent out into battle, a hailstorm is also summoned. This hailstorm can last for a long while (5 moves), and even longer if she's holding an Icy Rock.
Item: Icy Rock - Lengthens the duration of the hailstorm (8 moves). Strung through and hidden in her pine-like fur.
Notes: She is Sarah's first Pokemon and her main powerhouse. She is just as stubborn as her trainer, but at least she follows her trainer's orders. She plays a little better with other Pokemon, but still doesn't exactly work too well with others when pitted in a battle with them. She was trained to be a mixed specialist with quite a bit of bulk. She rarely ever uses status moves.

Pokemon: Male Alolan Ninetales - [TYPE]Ice[/TYPE][TYPE]Fairy[/TYPE]
Nickname: Tails
Ability: Snow Cloak - When it's hailing, Tails can seemingly vanish and be extremely difficult to hit.
Item: Bright Powder - A satchel of extremely bright powder hung around Tails' neck with a string. This can blind the opponent.
Notes: He is one of Sarah's first Alola Pokemon when she was out adventuring in Alola. After showing compassion to the icy girl, she took him in and he has been caring over her ever since like a brother would. He is quite fast and a mixed battler, but wouldn't shy away from using Status moves to get the edge in battle.

Ability: Overgrow - When Mega is weakened, his Grass-Type moves get stronger.
Item: Safety Goggles - Protects Mega from environmental hazards, like Sandstorm and Hail, and from powder and spore moves (not like that matters anyhow, as Mega is a Grass-Type). He wears it over his eyes.
Notes: He is one of Sarah's first Johto Pokemon when she was traveling there. She got him as a reward for being willing enough to give Elm her Tails so that he could study the Alolan Vulpix. Mega is quite defensive and bulky and is quite the Special powerhouse, but prefers to use Status moves.

Companion Pokémon: N/A
Backstory: Being born in Snowpoint City, she was raised to be tough. Her family were quite emotionally distant, causing her to grow up just as distant as they were. When she met a Snover at the age of 10, that's when her heart melted and she decided to go on an adventure. Leaving her home behind, she traveled around the Sinnoh Region, making more friends and getting stronger, and eventually evolving her signature Pokemon, Snover. She received her 8th gym badge in Sunyshore City, which is where she decided she was more suited for Ice- and Grass-Typed Pokemon.

She then went to Alola and found herself basically dying from the heat. She hurried to Lanakila Mountain and found her more staple member of her team, Tails, an Alolan Vulpix then. The little fox Pokemon helped to take care of Sarah as she was getting over from having a heat stroke. Seeing how sweet the little Pokemon was, she decided to keep him and he didn't disappoint in his battle prowess either. Sarah got a few stamps in Alola with her new teammate and Abomasnow before she felt like she wanted something else.

As she made her way to the Johto region, she found Professor Elm, who was ecstatic to see a Tails, as he never seen this variant of a Vulpix before. She left Vulpix in Professor Elm's care and, in turn, he gave her Mega, a Chikorita then as compensation and as a 'thank you' for allowing him to study such an amazing species. She went through 4 gyms before returning back to Professor Elm's lab and retrieving her Vulpix. She then continued on to gather 4 more badges before attempting the Silver Conference Tournament. She only made it to the Top 16 because she had evolved her Chikorita into Meganium and her Vulpix into the Alolan Ninetales throughout her Johto journey and trained quite intensively to get them used to their new bodies. She had her other three Pokemon that competed, but they didn't perform as well as her main three.

After her loss in the Top 16, she went back home to relax before hearing about another type of Tournament that is said to span all 7 regions. Intrigued, she traveled on over to this tournament to test her mettle.

Here's another character!

Name:
Leon Wisteria
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance: Leon has sandy-blond hair, with eyes that could be classified as either green or hazel, depending on one's perspective. He is tall, but not particularly muscular, given his somewhat lackadaisical approach to excercise.
Outfit: Leon's outfit is a curious amalgamation of formalities. He is determined to show that he is taking this seriously, so he wears a polo shirt and khakis, but he isn't confident enough to forgo his old and rumpled "lucky sweatshirt," with the words "Driftveil City" on it. He carries the majority of his stuff in a backpack that is beginning to fall apart - and in fact has been repaired a number of times - but he refuses to buy a new one, partially due to a misplaced sentimentality.
Personality: Leon is an all-around nice fellow, trying to help out wherever possible. However, the failures in his past have led him to doubt himself, and he worries that he will fail in his endeavors. When it comes to battle, any planning that he may have done goes out the window at the first sign of trouble, and he begins to rely on his instincts, which may or may not lead him to victory.
Hometown: Driftveil City
Team: Unova Swords
Event: 3v3 Singles
Backstory: Some people were born champions - prodigies if you will. These people succeed effortlessly, defeating gym after gym in a tidal wave of innate skill. Leon is the polar opposite of these people. He was born a failure, constantly struggling to achieve anything for himself, and taking years to earn his first badge. However, over time he improved, gradually becoming better and better until he stood before the Unova Elite Four. He was unable to defeat them at that time, but his sheer perseverance and tenacity impressed one member of the Elite Four, who took on Leon as an apprentice. Nowadays, Leon is still shocked by how far he has progressed, from a struggling youngster to someone capable of representing his region in a major tournament.

Pokemon: Cinccino
Nickname: Juan
Ability: Skill Link
Item: Silk Scarf (it's a vivid scarlet)
Notes: Juan is Leon's starter Pokemon, and has had to tolerate his trainer for all of that time. Juan is in many ways, the opposite to Leon - obsessively tidy, entirely organized, and naturally talented - but somehow the two of them became fast friends, standing together no matter what adversity may face them. When Juan battles, Leon usually lets him do his thing, rather than interfering with his own commands.
Moves: Double Team, Tail Slap, Last Resort, Swift, Knock Off, Sing, Wake-Up Slap

Pokemon: Gyarados
Nickname: Henry
Ability: Intimidate
Item: Muscle Band
Notes: Henry is the first Pokemon that Leon caught. Though the little Magikarp was undeniably very weak, he would fight until the very end, rarely doing anything of value. Over the course of Leon's journey, Henry was an inspiration to Leon, reminding him to never throw in the towel, even during times when Leon was considering quitting being a trainer. Now, Henry is a formidable Pokemon - a larger than average Gyarados - who still refuses to stop fighting until he can no longer get up.
Moves: Outrage, Waterfall, Hyper Beam, Crunch, Earthquake, Bind, Ice Fang, Iron Tail

Pokemon: Krookodile
Nickname: Pete
Ability: Moxie
Item: Soft Sand
Notes: Pete was caught later on in Leon's journey, so they haven't spent much time together. However, he is still enough of a powerhouse that Leon feels justified in using him for this tournament.
Moves: Dig, Earthquake, Crunch, Throat Chop, Superpower, Foul Play, Dragon Claw, Giga Impact

Yay! Accepted

Also if everyone could look at the teams tab on the first post and make sure I didn’t miss anyone that would be great!

Sinnoh is filled! Next I’ll make the 3v3 singles for Kanto.

Name: Preston Pine
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Preston is fairly tall, standing at a respectable 6’2. He is a bit bulky and has long black hair that he wears in a hockey player style. He has well tanned skin and squinted eyes.
Outfit: Preston wears a black T-shirt with an abstract design of Girantina on it over dark blue jeans and timberland style boots.
Personality: As Acacia’s cousin, he shares the family trait of high intelligence and quick thinking. Preston is a bit less sociable than his cousin, often coming off extremely awkward. However, he is actually one of the nicest most genuine people and will reveal it if given the chance.
Hometown: Sunyshore City

Backstory: Preston was always good friends with his cousin growing up, and watching Acacia set out and have fun on an adventure inspired Preston to do the same just a year later. He began his journey in his home region of Sinnoh and did well in his gym challenge, even making it to the top 8 in the Lily of the Valley Conference. After that he journeyed to Alola for both vacation and training. He desired to learn a skill that would allow him to defeat Acacia and when he heard about Z moves he figured that would be the key to his victory. Unfortunately, he was never able to defeat his cousin in a traditional battle, but he did discover that he had a special talent for double battles. Since defeating Acacia in a 2v2 he has been devoting his time training to become a double battle master.

If all the johto, Sinnoh, and Kalos rpers are on board, we can begin our first battle between two of those regions! Whichever two teams has all of their members respond with their approval first can begin the first series.
