I always hear about those,but wat r they. ???
Shiny Pokemon is just the fandoms way of describing different colored Pokemon, like Red Gyarados if you ever played G/S, or Ash's Noctowl in the Anime series. Easy example:
This is a standard Pidgey, eh? It's basically the only type you'll run into... unless you're super lucky. Since gen 2, there's been a very, VERY rare chance that you could encounter a Pokemon of the same species that sparkles on encounter and is colored slightly different. In Pidgey's case, you'd see this:
Every Pokemon has this 'shiny' counterpart, though they come in a various colors (ie. shiny Charizard is Black, shiny Flygon has blue instead of its darker green patches). You can see all these differences in Charms' PokeDex. As I said before those, though, running into one of these is VERY rare - as in 1 in 8192. Aside from catching that Red Gyarados, or using a hacking device, it's all luck. There's no trick in the games that allows you to encounter shinies more often, and you could potentially fight 8192 battles against a single Pokemon (or hatch 8192 eggs) and never see its shiny form. You may never, ever see one was long as you play... or you could see a few in a row. It's all just the luck of the odds.
Why is the chances so high though? ^^;;
To make them SPECIAL, that's why. >>
The chances are so high to make them rarer. If the chances were lower, then nobody would be talking about them. It's just like finding Mew, it's all about luck.
oooo lol i still think they shoulda atleast put it too 5860 or something
