After a comfortable sleep in the Magnet Train, Adriant arrived at Saffron City, known as the biggest city in the Kanto region. The first thing went to his mind was challenging the Gym Leader, Sabrina. Buying a few potions, he knew he would be fine. During the gym challenge, Chimchar could have evolved into Monferno but Adriant did not want that, he knew what he was going to take on. He used up his last potion, he understood that he couldn't rely on spamming Potions like crazy. At that point, he got a strategy...
Taking a step to the warp panel, he challenged Saffron Gym Leader a battle. Adriant begins with Aron, Sabrina sent out Espeon. Aron used Stealth Rock but Espeon's Magic Bounce turned it into a bad decision... Espeon used Psychic; Aron lived on, it would be a matter of time 'till it fainted. Aron used Head Smash, took down Espeon but lost against Mr. Mime. Adriant sent out Misdreavus, Stealth Rock weakened it, it used Shadow Ball against Mr. Mime, it was not enough. Mr. Mime used Shadow Ball via Copycat, Misdreavus hung on, Pain Split was used. Sabrina's Mr. Mime used Confusion, it was a critical hit, Misdreavus was down. Chimchar is Adriant's last hope, he used Fake Out, then Shadow Claw, making Mr. Mime fainted. Sabrina's last Pokemon was Abra, it was faster than Chimchar, Psychic hit Chimchar hard. Adriant thought it was the end until Chimchar stood up using Shadow Claw, he took Abra down. Thus, obtained his first badge in Kanto, the Marsh Badge. Healing in Pokemon Center, Adriant went on his own adventure, with many things to be learnt...
