"By mom, I'll be back soon. Promise you'll tell Apollo and Adrien goodbye for me?" Near the shoreline of Cyllage city, A woman stood by a younger girl, A Sewaddle in the girl's hands while a Purrloin, Vaporeon, and a Luxio played beside the woman. "Of course, Auxerre. Be safe, and take care. Me, your father, and your brothers will be here if you need us." Auxerre then nodded, adjusting her black bag and making sure her bun was put up correctly. "I will. I'll keep Harper an Beau safe, don't worry." Auxerre assured her mother again, placing a hand on the woman's shoulder before returning to caring for the small Pokémon in her arms. "Alright, goodbye dear." Auxerre waved a final goodbye to her mother, and her Sewaddle let out a cry to signify it's own goodbye to the Pokemon playing in the yard. A few cries were returned, echoing emotions that were, indeed complex, showing the Pokemon's interpersonal connection with Auxerre and her little Bug-type.
As she made her way to the exit, she stopped by the shore, looking out on the vast ocean that she'd gotten used to. Perhaps getting out of town and pursuing her dreams would finally cure the piece of her heart, left broken when she left Aspertia. She saw a few Luvdisc graze the water's surface, jumping out in a line of three before returning to the deep catacombs of the sea. Luvdisc had always been a good sign, she supposed, beautiful Pokemon like Luvdisc were a sign of good fortune. She then moved forward. Kicking the sand lightly as shells and sparkling objects appeared, quickly swept away by the waves coming in and out the shore.
Beau then let out a cry, seemingly happy. "You seem excited about this, huh? I guess you're new to Kalos." Auxerre replied to her Pokemon's cry, and Sewaddle seemed to agree. She then carried the Pokemon further, waving to passing-by bikers and skaters, most of the inhabitants of the town kept those activites as hobbies. Auxerre kept walking, stopping near the entrance of Cyllage city. She decided to wait a minute, maybe she could talk to someone who was coming to Ambrette as her, or something.
Something.

As the waves roared and crept up the sandy beaches, Tony quietly walked across the shore and looked over the open waters as he did every day as if there was something he wanted to forget... despite the fact this 'thing' seemed like it was burned permanently into his memory, but the calm seas seemed to make him a little better, just as a pair of Pokemon quickly followed the rather gloomy boy in an attempt to catch up. One of the Pokemon was a Noibat who quickly flapped his wings and landed on Tony's shoulder, the latter lightly petted his head before he turned to a Mawile who gave Tony a warm and friendly smile, to which Tony had slight trouble on giving his own.

As Tony walked across the sandy beach with his Pokemon not far behind, Mawile quickly called out to Tony as if she told him to stop, and so he did, but moved his foot before it met the sand to discover that he had almost stepped on a Luvdisc that seemed unfortunate enough to get washed up on to the beach. The wild Luvdisc was still alive, but it seemed like the next minute would be it's last, Tony began to take off his shoes and socks before he slowly lowered down and picked up the Luvdisc, both of his Pokemon raised an eyebrow at what he would do with the washed up Pokemon. Tony started to walk toward the ocean ahead of him, but cared little about how wet the bottom of his trousers would become, once he was shin deep in the water, he slowly bent over and gently lowered his hand to put the Luvdisc back in the water and quickly swim away, but not before it quickly jumped out of the water and let out a cry as if it tried to say 'Thank you'. Tony simply nodded in silence before he turned back to collect his shoes and socks, he walked over to a nearby bench and went to let his feet dry a little bit before he wiped his feet to get the sand off and put his socks and shoes back on, his Pokemon were clearly excited to start their adventure, Tony grabbed his bag and got out two Poke Balls which shot two red beams at his Pokemon which seemed to vanish in to them before he put them in his pockets and started to walk off in the direction toward Ambrette town.

Auxerre then moved through the arched stone structure that provided a cliff above, seperating Cyllage city and Ambrette town through a route. The coast became narrow, giving the ocean more room to cradle the shoreline. Not many people located there, so Auxerre began her walk as to pass by and get to where she needed to be. The shore was pretty, of course, and Sewaddle cooed as they passed more shiny objects. Auxerre bent down to sift through the sand, finding a small pearl in Beau's wishes for the shiny item.
[Pearl added to inventory.]
Auxerre then continued, stuffing the pearl into a small pocket of her bag, kicking the sand a bit more as she stopped again. There was a bench, and before her the sea looked about as beautiful as it ever had- light bouncing off the waves and causing gorgeous colors, those of which gave her a sense of euphoria, as she had never seen something so breathtaking since the sights of Aspertia Town at the base of the mountain. She was a statue, staring out at sea as if a monument of the sea's grace.

A glimpse into the sea, that’s what an aquarium offers to those who visit. A chance for people to experience the beautiful elegance and raw power of the blue depths; like a Milotic, elegant and powerful, all at once. Lizzy had stood in place for a while now, her hands resting upon the railing that kept her a few feet away from the wall of glass before her. A wall dividing land and sea, offering a sight unrivaled in beauty. The clear waters’ artificial current caused the plant life to sway harmoniously whilst Pokémon swam past left and right.

The girl’s pale eyes had locked onto one of the sea dwellers, a Mantine accompanied with a small cluster of Remoraid. The large ray-like creature seemed to have found the perfect balance between elegant forward movement and keeping the Remoraid safe beneath its body. A body that broke up the dancing light on the seabed with its large shadow. Lizzy leaned forward, resting onto the railing as she scanned the habitat before her for a specific type of Pokémon. One she hadn’t seen in any of the other tanks, but was promised would be available by the pamphlet at the entrance; the Lanturn.

Soon enough her sight fell onto two orbs of light shining within the waters; confirming the presence of the Pokémon. She dug into the pockets of her hoodie and took out a small red-and-white orb, enlarging it by pressing the single button on it. The ball grew and promptly produced a dim light as it let loose its contents; a Magnemite. “Look, Bolton, over there,” Lizzy instructed in a hushed tone, as to not disturb other visitors, while her finger pointed towards the Lanturn approaching the glass, “that’s what we’re looking for."

The Magnemite fully opened its eye and whirred; letting loose a mechanical tone accompanied with a short electrical current sparking between its magnets. Then, it eagerly approached and stopped roughly a foot away from the wall of glass; taking in the sight as the Lanturn unintentionally illuminated the surrounding area.

The town was not exceptionally busy, in fact it was much like Edward's hometown. Cyllage City unfortunately, the boat couldn't drop him off any closer to Ambrette Town. It was really quite the scandal in Ed's opinion, it wasn't exactly an easy ride to begin with and then they had to walk all the way to the next town. The boy, of course, didn't complain. As the male walked, hands folded into the front pocket of his hoodie, he felt sort of out of place. Not that he makes much of a difference, but Ed had never so much as traveled down a route outside of the town he grew up in. Never felt it necessary to do so, but a whole new region seemed so sudden. Letting out a low puff of air, Edward dragged his feet through the sand, watching it part for his shoes which pushed their way through rather intrusively. Eddy turned his head to look behind him, when suddenly a force ahead of him caused the boy to crash. Stumbling backwards slightly and kicking up a cloud of sand, the boy looked up blankly to stare at the girl he had hit.

Traveling through Route 7 was a young girl named Victoria, who just began her journey after running away from Lumiose City and powering through Camphrier Town, which saddened her a bit. She really wanted to visit her grandparents in Camphier Town, or at least say hi to them, but couldn't afford to as there would've been a good chance her parents would look for her there. So instead of taking that risk, Victoria decided to visit another time.

As Victoria walked along Route 7, she looked around her surroundings and was amazed by what she sees. From the variety of wild Pokémon that were present to the beautiful lake that is part of the route. All of these factors brought one thought to Victoria's mind. Freedom. Sweet sweet freedom.

After admiring the scenery, Victoria was now faced with two small tunnels that lead to different paths. One that would lead to Cyllage City, and another that leads to Ambrette Town. After a few seconds of thinking, Victoria decided to take the tunnel to Ambrette Town as it had the aquarium, which she was a bit curious to see after hearing about it. Plus not only would it be a good experience for her, but it would also help keep her mind away from her worries.

With that, Victoria proceeded to enter the tunnel that would lead towards the path to Ambrette Town.

Such a pinnacle of the captured horizon. Could this be even better than-

"Ack!"
Someone on the route had ran into Auxerre, for reasons unknown to her, almost knocking the breath out of her lungs and her sense of stability altogether. She had crashed to the ground, holding onto Beau tightly as she tried to steady herself. She was angry, yes, but was more focused on regaining her composure than going off on an accidental occurrence. The Sewaddle let out a cry as it had before, distressed at his owner's clear disorientation. Auxerre then picked up her bag, dusting off her sand-covered knees before turning to the person who had knocked into her.
A pale, clearly disheveled boy stood there, and Auxerre could've sworn he looked like he had seen a Gengar. The only life-like thing about him was his...hair? And even then the muted grey blues seemed lifeless, carrying around the sorrow of someone broken or miserable. Auxerre then shook away the thought, looking to the guy who seemed about her age, for what it was.
"Hey, I'm sorry for not paying attention to my surroundings, I kinda let 'ya bump into me." An awkward apology, but as long as it's something, it's something, as Auxerre's father used to tell her.
[Remembered an old saying...how wonderful.]
Auxerre was going to offer her hand, but he looked as if he wouldn't respond well to the gesture, so she just waited for a response, as she had waited btly the entrance to Cyllage and waited while watching the sea.

The journey across Route 8 seemed like it took a long time, but the scenic view certainly helped the time pass as Tony let out a light sigh as he traversed the path near the road, but remained on the edge for any cars that wished to pass. He looked up at the sky as he walked, the sun was warm, but not too warm as to make Tony sweat -thank Arceus-, Tony took one of his Poke balls out of his pocket, clearly it looked as if he had something on his mind. "I sure hope this works..." He thought to himself before he looked back up and saw Ambrette town in sight, Tony put his Poke ball back in his pocket and began to quicken his pace, secretly glad to know that he could see his next destination, but what he planned to do there was anyone's guess.

Once Victoria was out of Connecting Cave, she sighed in relief. Even though the cave wasn't as dark she thought it would, it was still dark enough to put her on edge. She hoped that during this journey she would be able conquer her fear of the dark, but for now, she would have to deal with it. With the cave out of the way now, Victoria proceed travel through Route 8.

After traveling through the route, Victoria made it to the end of the route with Ambrette Town in her sights. "Finally," she said to herself, "Ambrette Town. I wonder what kind of water-type Pokémon its aquarium holds." Without a moment to lose, Victoria proceeded to enter Ambrette Town with her sights set on the aquarium.

Once Tony arrived at Ambrette town, he looked around for anything interesting, such as the individuals for any Pokemon trainers or the buildings for anything that would catch his eye. Once such place happened to be the aquarium, a place where people go to see the aquatic water type Pokemon up close, Tony got out his Poke balls and let out his Mawile and Noibat, the latter immediately landed on Tony's shoulder. "Whaddya say we go look at the aquarium?" He asked his Pokemon, Noibat screeched lightly, but not too much as to disturb the others around him whilst Mawile let out an enthusiastic cry. "Alright, let's go, and stay close." He said as he began to make his way to the aquarium, Noibat flew around him a few times before he went back on to Tony's shoulder whilst Mawile followed close behind.

Once inside, Tony's eyes slightly widened in awe and the magnificence of the underwater like habitats the Pokemon happily swan around in, to think that these Pokemon live in such a stunning environment, but as it was a mere replica, it meant he would be in for a treat were he to actually take a dive in the ocean... maybe someday. While Tony was focused on a Milotic that swam close to him in order to say hi, Noibat decided to fly off and wander around the aquarium by his lonesome, by the time Tony and Mawile realized Noibat had left, it was too late. "Aw dammit. Noibat!" He called. Meanwhile, the Noibat appeared to observe the Woopers before he realized that he couldn't see Tony, which caused the poor little bat Pokemon to whimper like an infant.

Ed looked sort of confused by the girl falling, as if he didn't realize he had just bumped into her. The girl looked a bit more comfortable with the environment, but she certainly wasn't a native. Edward scanned the female silently, his expression rather unreadable. The green thing in her arms, which Ed assumed to be a pokemon, looked considerably weak. How unfortunate, why would anyone even catch something like that? The boy's mind wandered slightly before he raised his gaze when the other trainer said something, her voice alerting him of the awkwardness of the situation. It was an apology, or at least an attempt at one. Suddenly Edward forgot how to respond to an apology, of course he didn't think about it that hard. Should he thank her? Or perhaps apologize back? Instead the boy stayed completely silent. His hallow gaze gave hint to him thinking about communicating, but his lack of expression likely came of as creepy.
"You're not strong enough to take the title as Champion." Edward's monotone voice filled the air. It was a strange thing to say, if not rude. And in honesty, it came out much worse than the boy was thinking it. He was commenting on her novice simply to point out that they were likely heading towards the same point- of course he had to go and phrase it weirdly. That's simply how poor Eddie was. Figuring it was too late to correct himself, and frankly being too lazy to do so, Ed just remained still as he allowed the girl to react to his comment.

Once Victoria found and entered the aquarium, she was immediately amazed by what could be seen upon entering. With every step she took inside, she was more and more amazed by the variety of water-type Pokémon there are to see. "This place is amazing!" She said, "There are so many water-types!"

Victoria then stopped to look at some Gorebyss and Clamperl and then thought of something. She took out a Pokéball and brought out the Pokémon that was inside, which was a Froakie. She picked up her water-type and carried it in her arms. "Look, Froakie," she said to her Pokémon, "They're all water-types just like you. Aren't they amazing?"

Froakie's eyes widened a bit by the amount of water-type Pokémon there are. But the water-type's attention towards the Pokémon in the water tank was short-lived as she spots a little Noibat whimpering and looking distressed. Froakie jumps out of Victoria's arms and points towards the little bat for Victoria to see, "Froa! Froakie!"

"Huh? F-Froakie?" Victoria said after Froakie jumped out of her arms and saw the Noibat thanks to Froakie's pointing, "Oh?" She approached the Noibat, with Froakie following behind her, and cupped the little bat Pokémon in her hands. "Hey there," she said, "Are you lost?"

"Noibat! Where'd you run off to?" Tony called as Mawile cried out in a similar tone, she seemed to care for the Noibat who seemed like he was still just a baby. It wasn't long when Tony found his egg... nor was it long for the egg to hatch after he found it, to Mawile, the Noibat was like a little brother, so it was understandable why Mawile as well as Tony shared clear concern for the Noibat's well being. Meanwhile Noibat looked up at the Froakie who approached him and the lady that followed after him. He was cautious at first when she went to pick him up, but quickly accepted the lift when he saw how gentle she was, Noibat let out a few cries as if it tried to explain his situation, to which Froakie would be able to understand.

As Tony and Mawile traversed the hallways in search for his missing bat Pokemon, Mawile turned to spot a lady with a Froakie as well as the missing Noibat in her arms, she quickly poked Tony's leg to get his attention and pointed to where the lady was. "There you are!" Tony called out as he and Mawile approached the lady in a pace that would be mistaken for a racewalk, Noibat turned to the noise of his trainer and instead of fly over to him straight away, he held his wings out as if he wanted to be held by him instead of the lady... not that he didn't like the latter.

"I told you to stay close, didn't I?" He asked rhetorically and softly with no sign of annoyance, but relief instead along with a very faint smile on his face. "I hope my lil' guy didn't cause too much trouble." He said as he held his arms out to take back the Noibat from her. "Name's Tony." He added.

As Victoria was trying to understand what the Noibat was saying, she heard someone call out and turned to see it was a young man in dark clothing with a Mawile, which she could only assume was the owner of the Noibat. From what she could tell just by looking at him, this young man looks to be roughly around her age, perhaps even a bit older.

"Oh no, he didn't cause any trouble," Victoria responded. She handed back the Noibat to the young man after seeing it wanting to reunite with its trainer. After he introduced himself, Victoria felt she should do the same and proceeded to bow. "Pleased to make your acquaintance," she said and tipped her fedora a bit after bowing, "My name's Victoria."
