    "You heard the rumors, right? What a lunatic! That girl...what was her name? Zola...? Yea, she's been going around telling everybody she saw the future. Ain't that crazy! What a psycho! I don't know about you, but there's no way any of that crazy talk she was spouting could come true. I mean, the sky breaking? And people turning into mermaids and goblins? That's ridiculous, but whatever, believe what you want."

    Zola's 'prophecy' has been the buzz around the school, the talk of students, and teachers alike. Everyone's been a bit on edge after the girl in question had a hysterical break in one of her classes, scribbling her crazy-talk all over her desk before she had to be sent home. She didn't go quietly, that's for sure.

    The RP:

    This RP is based on a series of the same name called The Oscillation, written by Scott Edwards, (I recommend giving it a read but it isn't necessary for this RP).

    The Oscillation is a world-wide event that granted some people around the world a plethora of special gifts straight out of the tales of myth and legend. Your character is one such person affected by the Oscillation.

    The setting of the RP is Zenobia High School, on a Monday morning unlike any other. Your character is free to be a student, teacher, visitor, staff, etc. So long as they have a reason to be at the school that day.

    You will require two (2) character sheets for this RP. You'll need a starting bio, which will detail the character and personality of your OC before the Oscillation, and you'll need an Oscillation-changed bio that details their changes after the Oscillation.

    Outside of the powers and abilities granted by your inherited Myths and Legend, you'll also inherit, to a degree, the dispositions of those mythical beings and legendary characters.

    That is to say, if your character ends up inheriting a myth or legend known for being vicious and malevolent, then your character would be pushed towards acting in that way. This 'compulsion' is not absolute, it simply makes it easier for your character to act in that manner, and also introduces some variation to your OCs starting personality.

    How you handle this change is entirely within your jurisdiction. So long as it is present in some reasonable way, I have no complaints. However, keep in mind the characters should gradually grow accustomed to their new abilities, so they'll need to discover what they can do.

    Luckily, this is made easy by the mysterious System; a disembodied voice, that rings in head-space of everyone affected by the Oscillation.

    You should keep an up-to-date list of the traits and abilities your character inherited from their myth, whether it be a change in personality or developments in the arcane arts.

    A skill sheet, so to speak.

    The Oscillation utilizes a very game-like setting and it can be treated like a game to some degree. The 'System' is a mysterious entity that seems to control the acquisition of skills and abilities. Although characters intuitively know how to utilize their abilities, they will not have access to all of them straight away. Abilities become available to characters based on their needs and wants. If a character wants to perform a certain task, they may develop an ability that allows or assists them in completing that task. What skills you can acquire are, however, restricted by your Myth/Legend.

    To clarify the difference between Mythickin and Legendkin.

    • A mythickin refers to a race of creatures (Dragons, Pheonix, Kitsune, Nekomata, etc.)
    • A legendkin refers to a specific individual (Heracles, Perseus, Seigfried, Pele, Atlanta, etc.)

    To give an example. If your character was a fairy, then they would be Mythickin: Fairy; but, if your character was based on Titania, Queen of the Fairies, they would be Legendkin: the legend of Titania.

    The Oscillation uses a game-like system and skills can manifest in the form of Skill 'trees'. Skill trees consist of skill branches and leaves.

    Skill Branches, or Cluster Skills, don't do anything by themselves but are an umbrella name for a group of related skills. For example, a group of skills related to wielding a sword might fall under the Swordsmanship Branch.

    Leaves refer to individual skills and they can be either passive or active. Active skills must be triggered or intentionally activated to be used, they are generally under the user's control. Passive skills are constantly in usage and cannot be turned off, though the user may learn to control their effects over time.

    E.g.

    SOLAR ESSENCE ABSORPTION (PASSIVE)
    Absorbs energy from the sun which can then be refined for the user's own usage. This requires direct contact with sunlight.

    THE NATURE OF YANG (PASSIVE)
    When in direct sunlight Power, Strength, and Toughness are increased by 1 stage.

    PURE YANG QI [ASPECT: HARDNESS] (ACTIVE) The aspect of Yang focused on is hardness; this skill produces golden light which can be shaped to the user's will. The light contains the property of 'hardness'.
    LUNAR ESSENCE ABSORPTION (PASSIVE)
    Absorbs energy from the moon which can then be refined for the user's own usage. This requires direct contact with moonlight.

    THE NATURE OF YIN (PASSIVE)
    When in direct moonlight Quickness, Agility, and Resilience are increased by 1 stage.

    PURE YIN QI [ASPECT: SOFTNESS] (ACTIVE)
    The aspect of Yin focused on is softness; this skill produces silver light which can be shaped to the user's will. The light contains the property of 'softness'.

    Note:

    For Legends known to be either invincible, invulnerable, immortal, omnipotent, omniscient, etc. their abilities will be nerfed accordingly to avoid skewed characters.

    e.g. Achillies (near-invincible except for his heel), Sun Wukong (5 times immortal), various gods of knowledge, etc.

    Stats:

    Force

    Power: is an explosive and wilder exercise of force. This could also mean potential force as one can have an extremely high power capacity, but be physically extremely weak.

    Strength: is a slower and more controlled exercise of force.

    Defense

    Toughness: is how much damage we can take before our bones are crushed and skin torn.

    Resilience: is how well we can redirect force. This can be affected by abilities that redirect damage or mitigate them through some magical or supernatural means.

    Dexterity

    Speed: is the ability to move the body in one direction as fast as possible.

    Agility: is the ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and quickly change directions with proper posture.

    Quickness: is the ability to react and change body position with a maximum rate of force production.

    Energy

    Constitution: is how long we can function consciously. This has to do with 'mental fatigue'.

    Stamina: is how long we can function physically. One may be physically weak but can operate for an extended period with spells or other abilities.

    Endurance: mitigates the use of all our abilities dealing with Stamina and Constitution, i.e. high endurance reduces the expenditure of Stamina and Constitution.

    Tenacity

    Elemental Resistances: Resistance to elemental magic or abilities fueled by certain elements.

    Control Resistances: This has to do with stuns, charms, and other status effects.

    Penetration: is a stat that helps bypass resistances.

    Physical Features:
    Shorter than many of her younger schoolmates (at only 4'8"), Catherine is among the shortest in her year group and boasts no qualms about it. She has curly black hair that falls to her shoulders and asymmetrical bangs that cover the dark-brown iris of her left eye. Her dark lips can often be found pressed into a line, giving her a stern expression, but is actually a result of her habit of biting the inside of her lips.

    Preferring the feeling of warm and toasty clothing, Catherine is often found in long-sleeved shirts that fit snuggly around her body paired with form-fitting jeans or a long skirt. Her favorite combination is a black turtleneck paired with either dark blue ripped jeans or an asymmetrical long skirt with double side slits. She wears both with knee socks and hardy brown boots.

    Personality:
    A newly advanced Senior, Catherine is all but done through with the humdrum of high school. With above-average grades that contrast her average looks, Catherine is usually among the top scorers in her class; an achievement she takes pride in. It’s one of the things that feed into her proud nature, which has made her somewhat of a loner and can oft make her seem unapproachable. Beyond her standoffish appearance, Catherine is a moderately friendly girl who down-to-earth and who likes talking about her three pet cats. Family circumstances have groomed her to be resourceful and resilient, however, she isn’t one to handle setbacks well and, in fact, takes them rather poorly.

    Physical Features:
    After the Oscillation, Catherine now sports a pair of Lynx-ears that replace her formerly human ones. Her bodily proportions have hardly changed, save for a long, whip-like tail divided right down the middle and split into the two whispy tell-tale signs of a Nekomata.

    She does, however, possess the haunting slitted pupils of a cat which are framed by light green flares that fade into the yellow of her eyeballs.

    Personality:

    The Oscillation has made Catherine a bit more volatile. Her emotions more easily escape her grasp, especially those having to do with anger, resentment, and ill-will. She's become rather petty and seeks to settle scores for the slightest of misdeeds done towards her. In a few words, she's become more malevolent and vindictive, though she tries, with some success, to keep her emotions in check.

    Mythos:
    A nekomata is a type of cat yokai that originated from Japanese folklore. Many people mistake the nekomata for the bakeneko. While the two have the same original life of being house cats before transforming into beasts, the nekomata are more hostile. Not only are they older and larger cats compared to the bakeneko, but they also have longer tails that would split into two. Furthermore, not all bakeneko are malevolent while all nekomata definitely are. It is also believed that the nekomata are more able to speak human language in comparison to the bakeneko. Due to their larger size, the nekomata are also able to cause more damage and wreak havoc in comparison to the bakeneko.

    The nekomata were also cunning creatures that used several tricks in order to lure people into the mountains. One of their many tricks included mimicking the sound or cries of people who are in peril. Their tricks were not limited to this, as they would do anything to lure their prey into the dangers of the mountains and away from the safety of their own homes. These victims, upon encountering the nekomata, would be attacked, killed, then eaten by the beast. While its appearance was still uncertain, most descriptions of this monster were still quite scary.

    The demon cat would, in order to kill more people, transform into human form. They are not limited to only a single human body and can take several different forms. Another skill or power of this devil cat was believed to be the ability to talk to the dead. Not only that, but the nekomata was also said to be able to control the dead and use this to torment human beings. They would do this just to spread mischief and to cause misery among humans. A trick that they would do to further torment a person is to taunt them with the visions of their loved ones who have already passed away. On the other hand, it is said that they only generally do this to the people who have caused them harm while the cats were still alive.

    Nekomata possess the ability to wield ghastly flames.

    Necromancy
    By jumping over a corpse, the nekomata is said to be able to reanimate it, and control the zombie through ritualistic. Dance.

    Bakeneko possesses the enhanced perception of a cat, enhance to supernatural level. This grants them night vision and an impressive sense of hearing and smell.

    Enhance Feline Physique (Passive)
    Bakeneko possesses the physical capabilities of a cat, enhanced to supernatural levels. This grants them exceptional agility, stealth, and coordination, along with smaller boosts to strength and speed.

    Haunted Malevolence (Passive)
    Nekomata are cruel and vindictive creatures, taking revenge for the slightest offense and pleasuring in tormenting their enemies. They are more prone to acts of cruelty, vengeance, and maliciousness.

    Feral Appetite (Passive)
    Bakeneko can safely eat virtually anything no matter how decayed, poisonous, or unhealthy it may seem. Their favorite food is in fact, snake venom.

    Shapeshifting (Active)
    Bakeneko can shapeshift, changing their size and appearance, however, they can only take the form of humans or cats.

    Bakeneko are capable of flight.

    Caitsith Lullaby (Active)

  2. Frequently Asked Questions

    Q: What's the setting?

    A: The Oscillation is a world-wide event; but, the characters will based in the USA, more specifically Texas.

    Q: Will we be able to update our stat sheets as time progresses or will the stats remain static?

    A: Stats should remain static, skills, however, are subject to change later on.

    There are a few exceptions to that rule though. If your character manages to pick up a Legendary item or go through some Mythological process that increases a stat, then that would allow for stat increases.

    In summary, the base stats of your myth remain constant, it's just a measure of what your myth/legend is good at doing. For example: the Legend of Hercules would be really Strong, so they'd have higher stats in Force.

    Note that skills and equipment can act as modifiers to those base stats, increasing or decreasing them. Some legends are paired with their weapons or steeds after all.

    The legend of King Arthur, for example, might have higher stats while weilding Excalibur.
    Q: Will our characters be able to acquire items & equipment?

    A.: Yes! Of course. Legendary Items such as weapons, armor, elixers, etc. Those will all be available for character to collect. However, I do ask that you inform me if there's an item you have your eye on. Legendary weapons and their ilk can be very game-breaking if handled willy-nilly. To obtain an item of legendary or mythical stature, an arc will be required where you character goes through the appropriate trials needed to weild such equipment.

    In summary, yes you can, but please ask me first. I want to create story-arcs around these 'treasure hunts'.
    Q: Can I gain more skills for my characters?

    A: Yes, you can.

    You can create skills based on the myths about your character or myths related to your character as long as they make sense. You are allowed to connect myths across different pantheons, I just ask that you don't go crazy with it.

    E.g. A character who is a skilled warrior may gain the blessing or patronage of a war-god such as Athena, Ares, or Thor. This blessing may allow them to access new abilities.

    You can also gain new abilities through legendary or mythical items or by achieveing feats of similar scale.

    E.g. The Helm of invisibility would allow the character to become invisible.

    Q. What are the stats?

    A:

    Force

    • Power

      This is an explosive and wilder exercise of force. This is best summed up as raw destructive capability or damage output and can be achieved through multiple means.

      For example; a powerful mage could have Very High power through large, destructive spells.
    • Strength

      This is a slower more controlled exercision of force best imagined as raw physical might.

    Defense

    • Toughness
      This is flat durability; that is, how sturdy your physical body is by virtue of strong bones, sturdy skin, durable scales, or otherwise.

    • Resilience
      This is how well you can redirect force. Resilience has to do with neutralizing or redirecting force. This stat is often supplied by a supernatural means of avoiding damage.

      Some examples of resilience would be: extremely slippery skin that causes attacks to slide off, the ability to become intangible or phase through attacks, a body made of liquid that absorbs impacts, etc.

    Dexterity

    • Speed
      This refers to how fast your character you can move. This stat only takes into account their maximum speed.
    • Agility
      This refers to a character's ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and quickly change directions while moving at top speed. This affects how well your character can move at top speed.

      To provide an example;

      Cheetahs are renown not only their speed, but their agility as well. Their claws and long, rudder-like tail allow them to make sharp turn while they pursue their prey.

    • Quickness:
      This is the ability to react and change your body's position with maximum effectiveness in a short period of time.

      The best way this can be explained visually, is with the addage 'Cats always land on their feet'.

      Cats aren't able to land on their feet because they can, within fractions of a second, adjust their bodies in a plethora of small ways: from rotating in mid-air to get their feet under them, to flexing their backs to absorb the impact of a fall and more.

    Energy

    • Constitution
      This is how long we can function consciously. This has to do with mental fatigue; one may be physically weak but can operate for an extended period with spells or other abilities.

    • Stamina:
      This is how long we can function physically. This has to do with how long a person can maintain high levels of activity.

    • Endurance:
      This mitigates the use of all our abilities dealing with Stamina and Constitution. What this means is that high levels of endurance result in a slower build-up of fatigue mental or physical.


      A Researcher might be able to say up for more than 24 hours while working (High Constitution) but wouldn't be able to complete a 25k run (Low Stamina).

    Tenacity

    • Elemental Resistances:
      Resistance to elemental magic or abilities fueled by certain elements.

    • Control Resistances:
      This has to do with resisting stuns, charms, and other status effects.

    • Penetration:
      This is a stat that helps bypass resistances.

    Forest Ruler — Leshen can manipulate animals and plants with his magic and often uses the latter in fight.
    Nature comunication (passive) — Leshen can comunicate with the animals and plants.
    Teleportation — While in forest, Leshen can teleport anywhere in the forest. (But he can't take anyone with him)
    Polymorphy — Leshen can take any humanoidal form, form of an animal or even a tree.
    Nature Mimicry — Leshen can mimic voices of animals and strong wind.
    Chosen — Leshen can select a person (or animal, but that requiers way more energy) and fill it with his essence. When he dies, he reincarnates into the chosen entity's body.
    Size change-Leszy can transform into an entity small like a mouse or bigger than the biggest tree.
    Transformation-(Tree-Human hybrid) Leszy can transform into a hybrid of a tree and human, with root-like claws, leafes in hair and bark skin (last one upgrades his Resilence by one, but resistance to fire drops) with that Leszy is also a plant and his own plant manipulation magic can be used to bind and crush creatures with his roots or pierce them with great branches, with a huge force and magical power as usually following those attacks. (To Aquire this skill Leszy must have both King of Nature skill and Guardian Animal Cluster skills)
    Leshen's aren't the only creatures in the forest, but as guardians and rulers they also guide and lead other beings connected to nature.
    Fey Telephaty and Communication- Leshen can speak a Fey language as well as he can communicate telephaticly with one other fey-like creature that he trust and filled with his essence, they can telephaticly communicate on 150 feets range.
    Fey Authority- Leshen is seen by other Fey-like beings as a spirit and will of the nature itself, they pay him respect and usually try to be friendly with them.
    Fey Will- Leshen has a better resistance from any kind of charming or mind-controling abilities. (He needs to have his telephaty network activate and other Fey must be present)
    Ageless (passive)- Leshens doesn't really age and just gets stronger as he gets older.

    The Four Lieutenants (Active): Gyung-Hoon can harness the abilities of Cheonjiwang's lieutenants who fought beside him against Sumyeong Jangja and conjure their elements.

    - General Fire: conjuration and manipulation of fire
    - Master of the Winds and Rains: ability to summon storms and winds
    The Five Serpents (Passive): Gyung-Hoon summons the spirits of the dragons that pulled Cheonjiwang's golden chariot in order to enhance his physical strength to well above average (but not extremely high). His Defense stats do not change.
    Swiftness of the Golden Chariot (Passive): Gyung-Hoon's Dexterity stats are boosted to above average, allowing him to reach higher speeds and make him lighter on his feet. (To be obtained later on in the RP)

    Venom of the Midgard Serpent (Active skill)

    An incredibly potent venom capable of taking down gods, it can also be exhaled to poison a large area.

    Shaker of Midgard (Active skill)

    By biting its own tail, Orm can create tremors out of rage and pain.

    Utgard-Loki's cat (Active skill)

    Orm can transform into a fluffy white cat, shrinking him down significantly whilst still weighing as much as before. When someone picks him up by his torso, his body stretches out to an absurd length to keep his feet on the floor. Orm is not a big fan of this form.

    Due to his streamlined body, Orm has no issue swimming for extended periods of time.

    He can transform his body into a more horrific humanoid with many bat like appendages, in this form he becomes a lot taller and gaunt, large bat wings protrude from his back and his fingers become longer with larger claws, his head appears to gain large bat ears and gruesomely large and sharp teeth with solid blood Red eyes that looks as if they pierced into your very soul. In this form Adrian gains a few bat like features including bat senses and loud screech attacks, greatly enhancing his strength.

    There is a setback to this form however; This form is like a personification of Adrian's "Dark side" and practically has a mind of it's own, becoming extremely violent and ambitions with an insatiable craving for blood and an even more vulnerable to a vampire's weaknesses unless he has consumed a lot of blood.
    Flight: He can defy the laws of gravity and soar through the sky.
    Claws and fangs: His claws and fangs can be retracted if he ever needs to use them.
    Nocturnal creature control: He can control the minds of many creatures of the night.
    Immortality (passive): Ever since he became a Vampire, he stopped being able to age and physically become locked at the age he is. This doesn't mean he is immune to methods of being killed.
    Enhanced smell (passive): He can smell from great distances away. Mainly blood, a smell he tries to cover up.
    Night creature influence (passive): He is passive toward even the most aggressive of all nocturnal creatures.
    Scaling walls (passive): He can walk on vertical surfaces and ceilings as if they were floors.
    Regeneration (passive): He can regenerate from even mortal wounds in under a minute, but it will take time and energy to do so.
    Bloodlust (passive): The more blood he consumes, the stronger he can become. His behavior to blood is like an addictive drug and can act more feral if he hasn't had blood in a long while while as drinking too much blood will only make him want more.
    Sunlight: The light of the sun can burn his skin and kill him if he remains completely exposed to it for a long period of time.
    Stake to the heart: Like many vampires, any sharp wooden object can kill him if it pierces his heart.
    Holy crosses: Crosses are like a repellent for vampires as they can't stand to be anywhere near one.

This skill starts off weak, she will be able to control only one or two people and will be limited in what she will be able to make them do. This skill works best on people who are solely attracted to women and is completely ineffective on gay men.

    Instrumental Prowess (Passive): Can learn to play any instrument with ease. Playing an instrument while singing will give a slight boost to her Hypnotizing song.

    Fated lyrics (Passive): If a man is able to listen to her music and break out of her control, Sam will feel physically ill and will need to rest before controlling anyone else.
    Wings of Demeter (Active) — Sam was given wings along with her transformation which gives her the power of flight. Her wings take little effort to lift her off the ground and she is able to fly long distances without fatigue.

    Ocean Lord(Passive Skill): When in the presence of the ocean, the magnitude of Jonah's Power, Resilience and Stamina increase by 1 degree(i.e Average to Above Average).
    Aquatic Animal Dominion(Passive Skill): The Ryūjin not only holds dominion over the seas, but also all the life forms that reside in there, such as fish, whales or sharks.
    Superhuman Physical Characteristics(Passive Skill): As a result of the size increase granted by the Oscillation, Jonah's Force and Defense are raised beyond the normal human level.
    Full Realization(Passive Skill): When sufficiently damaged in the presence of the ocean, Jonah will be irresistibly compelled to dive into the ocean. Once underwater, he transforms into his most powerful form, the Fully Realized Ryūjin(basically the large dragon as opposed to Jonah with draconic traits). When in this form, his stats increase by 2 degrees(i.e Average to High) Power, Resiliance and Stamina increase by 3 total degrees since this skill stacks with the Ocean Lord Skill. Unfortunately, this power comes at a price, namely being reduced to a force of nature. Jonah automatically reverts when he runs out of After reversion, Jonah will be temporarily weakened.
    Dream Manifestation(Active Skill): The Ryūjin was known for appearing to people in dreams. As a result, Jonah can do this too.
    Skeletal Manipulation(Active Skill): According to the legends, Ryūjin removed all jellyfish bones as punishment for their failure to bring him a monkey's liver. This translates to Jonah being able to severely fracture bones on alive targets and remove them from dead targets.
    Gemstone Conjuration(Active Skill): As previously mentioned, the Ryūjin has gone on record of making pearls that can manipulate the tides. While Jonah can't do this until he gets a specific item, what he can do is make a durable pearl-like armor as well as making hard-hitting pearl weapons. The default gemstone material is dubbed SuperPearl, with the enhanced gemstone material being dubbed TidePearl.

    Tilt of the Valkyrie [ACTIVE]:

    While Sarah does not have the ability to wanton decide whom shall live and whom shall die as the Valkyries could, she can influence the odds. Usually this influence shows as physically improving her desired 'winner' or simply bringing them good fortune. Whilst technically something she could be unconsciously doing, she still needs to have someone she'd rather want to win in a given situation to activate it.

    Price of Waking [PASSIVE]:
    If her tilt of fate fails, she will feel it physically. For she has "awoken", that the fate she desired is not the true determinate of the world. It'll almost never be enough to kill her, but it will negatively impact her for a short while.
    Sparks of rage [ACTIVE]:
    Allows Sarah to summon minor sparks of flame. These flames have an unnatural way of spreading- Though can be extinguished by most standard ways of dealing with fire.

    Grudge [PASSIVE]: If someone has wronged Sarah- Or someone close to her -She will form a deep grudge against that person. The grudge will give her an inherit boost against the begrudged. The more severe the wrongdoing, the stronger this grudge, and Sarah's power, will grow.

    Transformation-(Tree-Human hybrid) Leszy can transform into a hybrid of a tree and human, with root-like claws, leafes in hair and bark skin (last one upgrades his Resilence by one, but resistance to fire drops) with that Leszy is also a plant and his own plant manipulation magic can be used to bind and crush creatures with his roots or pierce them with great branches, with a huge force and magical power as usually following those attacks. (To Aquire this skill Leszy must have both King of Nature skill and Guardian Animal Cluster skills)
    Leshen's aren't the only creatures in the forest, but as guardians and rulers they also guide and lead other beings connected to nature.
    Fey Telephaty and Communication- Leshen can speak a Fey language as well as he can communicate telephaticly with one other fey-like creature that he trust and filled with his essence, they can telephaticly communicate on 150 feets range.
    Fey Authority- Leshen is seen by other Fey-like beings as a spirit and will of the nature itself, they pay him respect and usually try to be friendly with them.
    Fey Will- Leshen has a better resistance from any kind of charming or mind-controling abilities. (He needs to have his telephaty network activate and other Fey must be present)
    Ageless (passive)- Leshens doesn't really age and just gets stronger as he gets older.

His skin tone is slightly tan, and he has a slightly more muscular than average build. He stands at about 5'10 and weighs 162 pounds.

    Appearance: Erik's normal outfit usually consists of a bright colored, button-down shirt, tan khakis, and white sneakers. In colder weather, he will usually wear a white hoodie under a black bomber jacket over a tee and the rest of his normal ensemble.     Appearance: Erik is now dressed in traditional Korean robes, pants, and shoes, through which his dragon tattoos are visible.     Mythos: Cheonjiwang is known as "The Celestial King" or "King of the Heavens and Earth" (not all-powerful, though). Born of a clear blue drop of dew that fell from the sky along with other gods and the humans, Cheonjiwang became the leader of the gods and reigned in his kingdom.

    Meanwhile, the first human to tame the animals of the earth, Sumyeong Jangja, became king over the mortal world. He quickly grew not only in power, but in hubris as well, believing no one could defeat him as he cried aloud to the sky one day, "Who dares subdue me?" Cheonjiwang heard the prideful boast and was quickly infuriated, and he invaded Sumyeong Jangja's kingdom, riding a golden chariot pulled by his five dragons and leading his four generals and ten thousand soldiers; the mortal king fought as best as he could, but to no avail, as he was quickly defeated by Cheonjiwang.

    Abilities:

    The Four Lieutenants (Active): Gyung-Hoon can harness the abilities of Cheonjiwang's lieutenants who fought beside him against Sumyeong Jangja and conjure their elements.
    - General Lightning: conjuration and discharge of electricity
    - General Thunder: ability to create sonic booms from his hands
    - General Fire: conjuration and manipulation of fire
    - Master of the Winds and Rains: ability to summon storms and winds
    The Five Serpents (Passive): Gyung-Hoon summons the spirits of the dragons that pulled Cheonjiwang's golden chariot in order to enhance his physical strength to well above average (but not extremely high). His Defense stats do not change.
    Swiftness of the Golden Chariot (Passive): Gyung-Hoon's Dexterity stats are boosted to above average, allowing him to reach higher speeds and make him lighter on his feet. (To be obtained later on in the RP)

    Appearance: Orm wears a knitted grey sweater, a beige pair of jeans, brown boots with fur lining inside of them, a silver earring engraved with runes and a ring around his left ring finger. He wears his hair in a ponytail that reaches about halfway of the length of his back.
    Personality: Prideful to a sin, Orm thinks highly of himself despite never finishing high school because he had to support his family when his mother got ill. He thinks that he is better than others because he stepped up and took charge to care for his family rather than keep going to school, though the illness was a convenient excuse to drop out of school and save face instead of admitting that he couldn't keep up. Orm likes to act tough, eat and use his impressive stature to get his way. Ironically, he dislikes people who think they're all high and mighty for no good reason, reading, know-it-alls and the sound of thunder

His face resembles a serpent more than a human, with a rounded shape and elongated forwards instead of upwards. His arms and legs have completely disappeared. His torso has been elongated into the body of a serpent that kills via constriction. He also gained two hollow fangs which typically are folded on the roof of his mouth, used to administer his toxin. His long hair is still blonde and drapes around his neck up to where his chest would be. His ears have been replaced with holes in the side of his skull, but his hearing capabilities haven't suffered from this change.

    Personality:
    Only fueled by his massive stature and incredibly potent venom, Orm sees himself as unbeatable and the ultimate lifeform. His thoughts don't go much further than that, destruction and his desire for food though, since he lost some of his already lackluster intelligence. He doesn't really care who he sides with, as long as he can do what he likes.
    Mythos:
    Jormungandr, also known as the Midgard Serpent, is a giant serpent that can circle around the world and bite his own tail. One of Loki's sons, he got tossed into the ocean by Odin after getting discovered where he grew to an incredible size. Jormungandr is fated to battle Thor and the two have met before, the most famous encounter between the two of them is when Thor fishes Jormungandr up using an ox' head after a long struggle which made Thor's foot go through the boat in an attempt to resist the strength of the serpent, only for the line to be cut by the giant Hymir who was afraid that this encounter would unleash Ragnarok.

    After the dragon Nidhogg gnawed through the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil, three years of harsh winter caused the waters in which Jormangandr resided to grow icy cold, causing the serpent to let go of his tail and go onto land. The earthquakes caused by the gargantuan body dragging itself across the grouns caused the bounds of his brother Fenrir and his father Loki to break, unleashing Ragnarok. Jormungandr's venom would poison the sky and the seas until he met his destined opponent. During Ragnarok, Thor faces Jormungandr again. After an intense fight, Thor slays the serpent, but at a hefty cost. Getting bitten during the fight, Thor takes nine steps before succumbing to the serpent's venom

    Orm can transform into a fluffy white cat, shrinking him down significantly whilst still weighing as much as before. When someone picks him up by his torso, his body stretches out to an absurd length to keep his feet on the floor. Orm is not a big fan of this form.

    Water Traverser (Passive skill)

    Due to his streamlined body, Orm has no issue swimming for extended periods of time.

    Endless Growth (Passive skill)

    By eating food, Orm grows in size permanently. The bigger he becomes, the better quality food he needs and the more he needs of it.

    Forked Tongue (Passive skill)

    Orm can speak to snakes, serpents and humans with ease. He can also use it to smell scents otherwise hidden to him, just like a snake.

    Monstrous Appearance (Passive skill)

    Orm's terrifying appearance scares all but the strongest of warriors whenever they lay eyes on him.

    Ectothermic (Passive skill)

    Due to being a reptile, Orm is cold-blooded and suffers in cold environments.

    Agility: is the ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and quickly change directions with proper posture. Average.

    Constitution: is how long we can function consciously. This has to do with 'mental fatigue'. Average

    Stamina: is how long we can function physically. One may be physically weak, but she can operate for an extended period of time with her spells. Very high.

    Endurance: mitigates the use of all our abilities dealing with Stamina and Constitution. High.

    Tenacity

    Elemental Resistances: are much more oriented with resistance to elemental magic or abilities fueled by certain elements. Above average.

    Exceptions:

    Physical Features: Adrian stands at 5'9" with somewhat Pale skin as if he doesn't go outside much, although his body figure seems slim with no signs of either muscle or fat as if he seeks no desire to get more buff yet at the same time no desire to get fat. His eyes are Sky blue and his hair is a Dark blond color that could easily be mistaken for Gold.

    Appearance: His hairstyle shows it to be smooth and tidy without a single strand out of place. His favorite type of clothing is a simple Black turtleneck shirt underneath a Red jacket with Beige fur linings, dark Blue jeans and Brown shoes.

    Personality: Adrian is normally seen as a calm and friendly individual, not a likely person to get the first word out in a conversation and shows a lazy side to himself, causing him to care little about most things. He is easily irritated by loud noises and wouldn't hesitate to yell at anyone who annoys him nor talk back at anyone regardless of how 'high in command' they are. He has a soft spot for little animals and always enjoys a good mixture of milk chocolate and soda.

    Physical Features: Not much has changed in terms of Adrian's physical figure apart from longer and sharper nails as well as retractable fangs. His skin had gone from slightly Pale to an even more Pale version and turning it completely white, his tidy hair has changed from it's Golden state to a messy Snow white and his eyes have turned to a sickly blood red color.

    Appearance: Ever since he became a vampire, Adrian has taken up wearing hooded coats or hats to protect him from the sun, often wearing ankle long coats of old school designs.

    Personality: Adrian does his best to maintain his normal ways, although thanks to vampirism, he's earned a strong craving for blood that he does his best to keep down, he has become a bit more aggressive, not afraid to use physical force whenever he gets angry. Adrian's power has given him a growing sense of ambition as well as a cruel sense of justice.

    Other: While he can still eat and taste food, it doesn't provide him with any nourishment unless it's blood, especially the blood of humans and virgins.

    Vampires are sentient beings that have traded their soul for magic powers - they are sustained by blood magic. They are soulless and thus considered as dead beings though they are still sentient, with blood magic affecting all their ways of life including their diet and biology. Since they lack souls, the only way they can sustain their existence is by stealing the life force of other living beings - this includes stealing souls and feeding on crystals, but mostly by drinking the blood of others.

    The vampires of Earth are undead, diseased persons who are hated, hunted, and misunderstood by the living. Whether they consider themselves cursed or blessed, or whether they have given into their animalistic instincts or have sought to rid the world of the disease, vampires are nonetheless considered abominations.

    The vampire is one of the most powerful and feared of all the undead. While they are typically incredibly fast, gifted mages, and unnaturally strong, fear of vampires is abnormally great due to their ability to infect others, a fate often described as worse than death. Distrust and chaos can potentially bring down entire settlements should just one vampire infiltrate the populace. Vampires spread by giving mortals diseases such as Porphyric Hemophilia, Sanguinare Vampiris, and Noxiphilic Sanguivoria. Vampires tend to be organized into many different clans called covens; in fact, there are over a hundred distinct kinds of vampire in Europe and America alone.

    Bat swarm: He can turn his body into a swarm of bats.
    "Monster form": He can transform his body into a more horrific humanoid with many bat like appendages, in this form he becomes a lot taller and gaunt, large bat wings protrude from his back and his fingers become longer with larger claws, his head appears to gain large bat ears and gruesomely large and sharp teeth with solid blood Red eyes that looks as if they pierced into your very soul. In this form Adrian gains a few bat like features including bat senses and loud screech attacks, greatly enhancing his strength.
    There is a setback to this form however; This form is like a personification of Adrian's "Dark side" and practically has a mind of it's own, becoming extremely violent and ambitions with an insatiable craving for blood and an even more vulnerable to a vampire's weaknesses unless he has consumed a lot of blood.
    Flight: He can defy the laws of gravity and soar through the sky.
    Claws and fangs: His claws and fangs can be retracted if he ever needs to use them.
    Nocturnal creature control: He can control the minds of many creatures of the night.
    Immortality: Ever since he became a Vampire, he stopped being able to age and physically become locked at the age he is. This doesn't mean he is immune to methods of being killed.
    Enhanced smell: He can smell from great distances away. Mainly blood, a smell he tries to cover up.
    Night creature influence: He is passive toward even the most aggressive of all nocturnal creatures.
    Scaling walls: He can walk on vertical surfaces and ceilings as if they were floors.
    Regeneration: He can regenerate from even mortal wounds in under a minute, but it will take time and energy to do so.
    Bloodlust: The more blood he consumes, the stronger he can become. His behavior to blood is like an addictive drug and can act more feral if he hasn't had blood in a long while while as drinking too much blood will only make him want more.
    Sunlight: The light of the sun can burn his skin and kill him if he remains completely exposed to it for a long period of time.
    Stake to the heart: Like many vampires, any sharp wooden object can kill him if it pierces his heart.
    Holy crosses: Crosses are like a repellent for vampires as they can't stand to be anywhere near one.
    Silver: Silver to Vampires is like hot coal for humans, easily burning any part the silver touches and to him, it gives off an extremely bright light that he can hardly stand.

    Personality: Is generally affable, but hates arrogance and looks down on those who display that trait. Ironically, Jonah does take great joy in besting them and bragging about it to their faces. Conversely, he is also rather fond of cooking, his favorite thing to bake being sweet and savory foods.     Physical Features: Thanks to Ryūjin's shape-shifting abilities(more on that later), Jonah can take any appearance he wants, including his regular human appearance and the appearance of the actual Ryūjin. Without his shape-shifting abilities, Jonah's appearance can simply be described as his normal appearance but with blue, serpentine scales replacing his skin and his eyes taking on an aqua-green tint. His height has also grown to the above average 8'2.

    Personality: Influenced by the Ryūjin's fickle nature, Jonah is now more prone to act selfishly, occasionally disregarding the group's greatest benefit in favor of his own desires. Given his status as god of the ocean, Jonah has also become more prideful, furthering his ironic relationship with arrogance. This pride also compels Jonah to act harshly when properly provoked. Despite these flaws, Jonah remains to be good natured and willing to put others over himself most of the time.
    Turns out, the Ryujin is actually the patron God of the Ocean in Japanese Mythology. According to these myths, the Empress Jingū was able to successfully attack Korea thanks to the sea serpent's tide jewels. The Ryujin is also known for removing all jellyfishes bones as punishment for one jellyfish failing to retrieve a monkey's liver.

    Electrokenisis(Active Skill): Though unorthodox for a being heavily associated with water, the Ryūjin nonetheless shows aptitude for generating and manipulating lightning.
    Oceanic King(Cluster)
    Ocean Lord(Passive Skill): When in the presence of the ocean, the magnitude of Jonah's Power, Resilience and Stamina increase by 1 degree(i.e Average to Above Average).
    Aquatic Animal Dominion(Passive Skill): The Ryūjin not only holds dominion over the seas, but also all the life forms that reside in there, such as fish, whales or sharks.
    Superhuman Physical Characteristics(Passive Skill): As a result of the size increase granted by the Oscillation, Jonah's Force and Defense are raised beyond the normal human level.
    Full Realization(Passive Skill): When sufficiently damaged in the presence of the ocean, Jonah will be irresistibly compelled to dive into the ocean. Once underwater, he transforms into his most powerful form, the Fully Realized Ryūjin(basically the large dragon as opposed to Jonah with draconic traits). When in this form, his stats increase by 2 degrees(i.e Average to High) Power, Resiliance and Stamina increase by 3 total degrees since this skill stacks with the Ocean Lord Skill. Unfortunately, this power comes at a price, namely being reduced to a force of nature. Jonah automatically reverts when he runs out of After reversion, Jonah will be temporarily weakened.
    Ethereal Sea Serpent(Cluster)
    Dream Manifestation(Active Skill): The Ryūjin was known for appearing to people in dreams. As a result, Jonah can do this too.
    Skeletal Manipulation(Active Skill): According to the legends, Ryūjin removed all jellyfish bones as punishment for their failure to bring him a monkey's liver. This translates to Jonah being able to severely fracture bones on alive targets and remove them from dead targets.
    Gemstone Conjuration(Active Skill): As previously mentioned, the Ryūjin has gone on record of making pearls that can manipulate the tides. While Jonah can't do this until he gets a specific item, what he can do is make a durable pearl-like armor as well as making hard-hitting pearl weapons. The default gemstone material is dubbed SuperPearl, with the enhanced gemstone material being dubbed TidePearl.

From the waist down is the behind of a bipedal lion, while his torso and arms are covered by brown feathers that become white down his arms and the tips of his wings, which are placed on his back and have a wingspan of 15 feet. Large talons replace his hands, which are as golden as his eyes.

    Appearance: Well, aside from the newfound holes in his clothing, not much has changed

    While he remains mostly the same, Lifon's natural optimism is replaced by a semi-stoic demeanor, with the added bonus of fierce loyalty, the power of which renders Lifon almost impossible to control by enemies. However, he also has a natural instinct to protect and hoard any valuables in the area. The more rare and expensive, the less he can control himself. Not even allies are allowed near his treasures, since they're always saved for his closest friend.

    Mythos:
    Griffins are half-lion, half-eagle creatures well known for their physical strength, loyalty, and intolerance for evil. Often used as bodyguards, the griffin's protectiveness is so ingrained into them that even wild griffins fiercely protect their territory or, in some cases, another living creature.

    Flight (Active)
    Enhanced abilities (Passive) Lifon's body is generally stronger than most humans, with strength, sight, and speed being the most notable.
    Hollow bones (Passive)- Both good and bad, as Aviral is lighter than he looks, but his bones snap pretty easily.
    Healing Body(Passive)- Griffin feathers and talons can heal injuries/empower allies when prepared correctly. Lifon has a healing factor due to this, but it's fairly weak in comparison to werewolves and such.
    Unflappability (Hehe..ironic. Also passive)- Loyalty and Stoicism makes it difficult to ruffle Lifon or affect his mental state.
    Air manipulation (Active)- Technically false, but his wings are powerful enough to create strong gusts or tornadoes that aren't deadly but can be should enough debri or magic be caught up in them.
    Powerful voice (Active)- Lifon can sound off a weird hybrid of a eagle's piercing screech and a lion's powerful roar. The noise is rarely deadly, but disorienting and very forceful.

    Hmm? That's an interesting stat layout.

    Penetration is a stat that affects your ability to break past another character's resistances. Generally, it's for myths that rely on beguilement like Siren's who's song has body/mind-controlling abilities. I'd point out that at the moment your character has no skills that benefit from high penetration.

    I'd also suggest you balance Power and Strength more.

    You can think of Power as destructive capability whether by magical means or otherwise. On the other hand Strenght is your raw physical strength. Personally, I only expected to see an extremely high strength stat on the likes of...Heracles? Something within that range, a myth/legend known for strength feats.

    Other than that, your character is looking good :up:

    Physical Features: Marcus is an imposing figure, standing at 6'3" and weighing about 200 pounds. His light brown skin is drawn taught over his muscled physique, and his perpetually-sleepy-looking brown eyes compliment the shade nicely. Marcus keeps his thick and curly hair almost shaved on the sides and short on the top, close to a box cut in style.
    Appearance: Marcus' outfits tend to change with the seasons. In the warmer months he prefers active-wear all the time, varying between athletic t-shirts or muscle shirts and athletic shorts or joggers. In the colder months Marcus prefers navy blue or black jeans with solid colored button down shirts that he wears open, but when he's exercising he'll don active-wear. Depending on his outfit, Marcus will either wear a pair of white and black sneakers or a pair of solid black boots.     Marcus is a man in a state of constant self reflection and careful analysis of the world around him. Marcus prefers to listen, and to watch, and when he does speak he chooses his words carefully, drawing from a deep vocabulary pool filled by constantly reading. In every interaction he has with another person, Marcus hopes to gain something new from it, and he is constantly making and reshaping the internal conclusions he makes about people from each conversation he has with them. His favorite thing to do with people is the simple act of conversation, though he absolutely loathes shallow small talk. If Marcus realizes that he can't gain new knowledge about or form a deeper bond with a person from their conversation, he will often grow extremely frustrated and will more than likely cut the conversation short.

    A man's mind and body work in tandem, so to improve the former without the latter would be to do one's self an injustice. At least, that's what Marcus' father would tell him on the way to their community's local gym. His father went to the gym every evening after the family ate dinner, and when Marcus turned 10 he started joining his dad at the gym three times a week. From the first day, Marcus fell in love with exercise. The soreness that came with a good workout was an affirmation that he gave it his all, and the pain became a sort of addiction. For four years Marcus ran the treadmill and did calisthenics while his father lifted weights, until finally at the age of 14 his father allowed him to start actually weight lifting as well. It was about the same time that Marcus began rowing for Zenobia High School's freshman team, and he grew to love the sport as much as he loved lifting weights. By the time he became a senior, Marcus' hard work paid off and he was appointed captain of the varsity team. Marcus attributes his success to his self reflective nature, and it shows in how incredibly self motivated he is. Marcus is unrelenting in whatever he does, and firmly believes that if you aren't giving it 100% you don't deserve to be where you are. So to prove to himself that he deserves what he has, Marcus always gives it 100%.

    As evidenced by his relationship with pain in pursuit of gains, Marcus is incredibly susceptible to addiction, which he struggled with in more ways than one since about the age of 15 when he first started dabbling in illicit substances. With that has come an addiction to nicotine, though he does want to quit. He's also a bit of a caffeine junky, as he either drinks an energy drink or a scoop of pre-workout before every practice or gym session.

    Physical Features: Unlike most of his other Oscillated companions, Marcus' base physical appearance did not change much. His height, weight, and build are the same, though his sleepy brown eyes are now a bright shade of gold. The biggest change came in the form of the pair of brilliant white wings that sprouted from his back, each of them being six feet in length from the tip to the base in the small of his back. They are about half the height of his torso at the base, and about four inches in width at the base before sloping off to about an inch at the tip.

    Appearance: With his wings now in the way, Marcus almost exclusively wears stretchy muscle shirts by putting his wings through the arm holes. He will eventually begin to design his own clothing to accommodate his wings, with zippers running up the backs and ending at the base of his wings.

    Personality: Marcus was mellowed out by his transformation, and while he is still the same quiet and analytical person his edge was smoothed out. He's less likely to grow frustrated with idle chatter, though his fondness for deep conversation has remained unchanged.

    Mythos: In Christianity, the Archangel Rapheal is one of the three most powerful Angels in Heaven. While Gabriel may be thought of as the Messenger and Michael as the Warrior, Raphael is the Healer. His sphere of influence encompasses medicine, healing, and those who practice either. He is revered as a protector of sailors, and one of the Devil's chief enemies.

    • (Active) Marcus' touch can instantly put others at ease if he wills it.
    • (Passive) Marcus is highly resistant to any ability that would alter his state of mind (Demoralization, memory clouding, etc.)
    • (Passive) Marcus' senses are incredibly enhanced, to the point that he can hear the blood flowing and feel the vibrations from the heartbeat of a person standing across the room.
    • (Active) When in a state of prayer or deep meditation, Marcus can consult with the other two Archangels. This can take any form that communicates thought/words/actions to Marcus.
    • (Active) Marcus can heal any wound on any person by touching it and willing it to happen. This comes at a great initial cost of his own energy and a continued lower cost as the healing takes place.
    • (Passive) Marcus' touch burns any undead in the same way that holy water may.
    • (Active) When standing in direct sunlight, Marcus can absorb it and form it into beams of energy. These beams of energy are like a highly concentrated magnifying glass, and are incredibly hot to the touch.
    • (Passive) Marcus' strength is enhanced to super-human levels when in direct sunlight.
    • Marcus is able to fly using his wings. The wings are incredibly strong, strong enough to lift his body off the ground, and durable enough to be used as offensive weapons. They can sustain slow flight for a considerable amount of time, and fast flight for much shorter periods.

    Twin Swords, Sei & Yami
    Sei is the Leftmost sword, with the blue blade. It naturally has the Holy Archetype.
    Yami is the Rightmost sword, with the black blade. It naturally has the Dark Archetype.
    Kirin tends to favor Yami more, and uses it in his right, with Sei in the left.
    They don't (Currently) have an ability, they just deal Light and Dark Elemental damage respectively.
    When using a SS, Sei's blade aquires a white hot glow, and Yami's blade gains a purple, partly chaotic glow.

    Mythos: Bahamut, the Almighty Dragon Lord
    Bahamut is depicted as a massive, long and sinuous dragon with silver-white scales and blue, catlike eyes. According to Complete Divine and Races of the Dragon, the exact color is hard to specify and may depend on Bahamut's mood, ranging from sky-blue to frosty indigo.
    About a quarter of the time, Bahamut wandered in the shape of a human or some other guise. He is said to have been encountered as a frail old hermit, with the seven great golden wyrms that accompany him disguised as seven canaries singing sweetly nearby. He also took the form of a Divine Swordsman, and a Masterful Wizard. Bahamut is very stern and disapproving of evil. He accepts no excuses for foul deeds.     Has many hard scales on the surface of the skin that protect from damage. The scales are incredibly small and flexible, so to an unwitting person, it just feels like skin. Resists Melee Weapondry. Increases Toughness and Resilience by 1 stage. Increases Agility, Quickness and Speed by 1 stage when flying.
    Tempestuous Wings (ACTIVE)
    User gains Wings. The user gains the ability to fly. User also gains the ability of Floating. Has to be activated. Decreases Resilience by 1 Stage while flying.
    Chronophantasma (ACTIVE) Off Limits
    User can Stop Time for a short duration. Decreases Toughness and Resilience for 3 turns afterwards. Can be used up to 2 times an encounter. Other Active skills can not be used while in the Time Stop state.
    Draconic Origin (ACTIVE)
    User gains the ability to transform into a dragon for a short duration. Increases all stats but Constitution, Stamina and Quickness, Power, and Speed by 1 stage until duration is up. Lowers Constitution, Stamina and Quickness by 2 stages until duration is up. Tempestuous Wings Can be used once per in RP day.
    Skillful (PASSIVE)
    Applies when using a sword. Able to activate a more powerful combo of sword strikes for more damage. Able to Dual Wield Swords. User can cut magic spells and blasts out of the air, like this.
    Skill Connect (PASSIVE)
    During a battle, the user can chain together Individual Sword Skills, up to 3 in a row. Once this is over, all stats except Quickness, Resilience and Penetration are lowered by one until the battle is over. Can be used once a battle.

    Note: ISS can be used without the need for the Swordsmanship passives to be unlocked.
    Deadly Sins (Skill)
    The skill begins with a diagonal slash from the top-right to the bottom-left, with the user making a full circle spin, drawing their sword backwards in the middle of the spin in preparation for the next attack. This leads to a second diagonal slash from the bottom-right to top-left, followed by a horizontal slash from left to right. The user then executes an upward vertical slash, performing a backwards somersault. This is followed by a horizontal slash from right to left and another full circle spin, which leads to a diagonal slash from the bottom-right to the top-left, stopping at face height. From this position, the user spins their sword in a full circle, hitting the target from the user's right side.
    Lightning Fall (Skill)
    «Lightning Fall» begins with the user kicking off the ground at full force. The player then performs a mid-air forward somersault, reversing their grip at the same time. As the player lands, they thrust their sword into the ground. At that moment, a surge of electricity is generated by the sword. Anyone hit by the skill directly suffers physical damage, while anyone caught in the range of the electric attack is additionally stunned for up to two turns. It also travels along objects that can conduct electricity.
    Quadrant Blitz (Skill)
    «Quadrant Blitz» is activated by drawing one's sword to the back and right. The first hit is a horizontal swing from right to left. The sword then bounces back, and after an instant of being held still at the user's left side, another horizontal swing from left to right is executed. The force of this blow sends the user's body spinning clockwise, with the sword ending up at the user's left flank and unleashing a third horizontal strike from left to right. The skill is finished with a forehand strike from the right. The skill's four swings draws a square of light that expands outward.
    Quadrant Assault (Skill)
    «Quadrant Assault» is activated with a powerful stamp. The first strike of this Sword Skill is a vertical slash from an overhead position with little backward motion, similar to the 1-hit «Vertical». This slash is followed by two upward vertical slashes. Finally, the skill is concluded with a full-power downward slash from an overhead position. Similarly to the «Quadrant Blitz», a square, drawn with the four hits of this skill, continues to spin as it dissipates.
    Vicious Nail (Skill)
    «Vicious Nail» begins with a diagonal slash from the bottom-right to top left, followed by a horizontal slash from left to right. Finally, the skill is ended with another diagonal slash from top-right to bottom-left. An alternative execution of the skill begins with a nearly vertical slash from the user's left shoulder, hitting the target's right side, after which the sword instantly shoots back into a high position and slashes vertically again, hitting the target's left side, then leaps up again and slashes vertically at the centre of the target.
    Cyclone Phalanx (Skill)
    «Cyclone Phalanx» is activated by dexterously using one's fingers to spin the sword twice, like twirling. As the skill is activated, the sword begins to spin like a windmill, with the user's fingers acting as the pivot. In just a few seconds, the sword reaches a speed that makes it invisible to the human eye, making it look like the sword had become a half-transparent shield of light. Although the skill allows blocking even major attacks, powerful skills still cause minor damage, as it is impossible to completely block such an attack with the skill. Additionally, the skill is capable of blocking flame and ice breaths, but is ineffective against lightning and poison.
    Savage Fulcrum (Skill)
    «Savage Fulcrum» begins with a right to left (left to right if using one's left hand) horizontal slash. The user then rotates the sword by ninety degrees and performs a vertical slash from bottom to top. Finally, the user unleashes a full-powered vertical slash from top to bottom.The combined trajectory of the skill is similar to the Arabic number "4". The skill is effective against larger foes.
    Tyrant Piercer (Skill)
    «Tyrant Piercer» begins with five high-speed continuous thrusts at the target, followed by a cut downward and then a cut upward, before finally performing a final full force swing from an overhead position. This skill takes a while to recover from if not using «Skill Connect».
    Fulgurokinesis (ACTIVE)
    The user can generate, absorb and control electricity. Chance to paralyze the foe. Mainly used to coat the blade of a sword.
    Galvanic Patch (PASSIVE)
    Whenever the user is exposed to electricity, their injuries are slowly healed. Increases Penetration by 1 stage.
    Septimal Healing (ACTIVE)
    The user can utilize their inner energy to heal a target. Galvanic Patch must be currently active.

  26. 2 OP plz Nerf

    I don't mind the Eludicator and Dark Repuls— I mean, Yami and Sei, however, since Bahamut isn't a legend known as a sword wielder, you won't be able to start with them. Also, you have far too many extremely highs and not enough lows to balance them out. While you do have a few lows, the skills you've added more than make up for them and, as a number of them are passive, would give you an overall starting stat total that's too high for the early game.

    Pull back on the buffs and rebalance your stats.

    Only 1 extremely high unless balance by very low stats.

    Also Time-manipulation is a volatile ability so I'll have to say its off-limits for now.

    Nine Tails Fire (Activate)[Can only use this when he has Seven or more tails]- He creates seven(eight or nine depending on tail total) kitsune-bi and uses it to either trick people by hypnotizing them or straight up killing somebody. With a minimum of seven people hypnotized and a maximum of nine. (he'll only use this against NPCs and/or others not the Player Characters because autoing)
    Emotional Rage (Activate)- He will create a destructive aura, the stronger the emotion the stronger it becomes with Sadness being strongest. He will go into a fit of Rage, making his Power/Elemental Resistance go up one stage. This stat boost will only last ten seconds, And the whole power lasts a minute with a cost of stunning him for about two minutes.
    Talking Illusions (Passive)- Makes it seem to the person that the illusion is talking.
    Memory Illusion (Activate)- lets the person that he is using it on seem like he sees a person that is dear to him

  28. Though the Oscillation has a game-like system it doesn't use turns, so this needs some editing. Also all stats increasing by two stages is quite a bit, the drawbacks of this ability aren't enough to balance it out.



    You're 100% free to replicate the moves from SAO, but I wouldn't call them official 'skills'. Notably, because Bahumut has little to do with swords (Outside of the D&D version of Bahamut), the swordsmanship branch of skills would require you to do something in RP to acquire. Ofc, you'll need to acquire swords as well.

    Another balancing bit is that the sword-based buffs you have should be an effect of whatever legendary weapon you gain in RP. Otherwise, there's a risk of things become unbalanced.

    By that I mean: if Skillful increases all those stats by 2 stages, and then you wield a sword like Durandal or the Kusanagi Blade, which grant their wielder additional supernatural powers then the power jump will be too much.




    Hmm, so my current stance is:

    1) Modify Draconic Origin. The transformation itself is fine, but it's far too powerful and raises too many stats.

    It would raise 11 stats in total by 22 stages while only dropping 3 stats by 6 stages.

    Other than that, the Draconic Branch is A-Okay.

    2) The Swordsmanship Branch doesn't seem to have anything to do with Bahamut, so to acquire those buffs and skills you'll be required to acquire a legendary sword in Rp (e.g. Excalibur, Durandal, Tyrfing, Naegling, etc.), and then we can talk about what boosts that sword would provide.

    3) The skills in the magic branch are fine, but I think they're more-so the D&D Bahamut. Hmmm, I'll need to consider if D&D is a solid enough base to draw from.

    Sam is a friendly kid who has a tendency to be very lazy. If he doesn't have to do something, he'll more than likely avoid doing it altogether. He tries to avoid conflict, usually just defaulting to agreeing with the other person to avoid an argument. That said, Sam will do something if his friends need him. Sam is also pretty smart, but his report card wouldn't show it. He knows a lot of the material in classes already and slides by with all Bs by only doing half the work.

    Sirens are bird-women who would usually be found resting on cliffs near the ocean. Their songs were stated to drive men insane, causing ships to ram straight into the cliffside in order to listen to the haunting song of the siren.

    Hypnotizing Song (Active): When someone hears the song of the siren, they are placed under the siren's control. Once under her control, Sam can make the person do whatever she wants. This skill starts off weak, she will be able to control only one or two people and will be limited in what she will be able to make them do.

    Instrumental Prowess (Passive): Can learn to play any instrument with ease. Playing an instrument while singing will give a slight boost to her Hypnotizing song.

    Fated lyrics (Passive): If a person is able to listen to her music and break out of her control, Sam will feel physically ill and will need to rest before controlling anyone else.
    Sam was given wings along with her transformation which gives her the power of flight. Her wings take little effort to lift her off the ground and she is able to fly long distances without fatigue.
    Sam's new form has given her not only a beautiful voice, but also a beautiful body. This will make people want to help her. They would not do anything that would be against their nature, but they will want to go out of their way to help her when she needs it.

  36. Not accepting second characters at the moment. We're already going to be starting with quite a few. Also, there is another Phoenix Mythickin but they haven't posted their bios as yet.

    Reality warping is also an off-limits ability. Way too powerful to be allowed.

    Skill Disable is also a bit too close to auto-ing for my tastes and that's against charms rules. Abilities like those would need some remaking. Otherwise though, looks like a fun character o7
