What Did You Do To Snoke?

Previously Ratbag the Coward
We have all seen those typical superhero academy rps, but this is something different. In this rp, you'll be controlling a non-super hero. That is, one that doesn't use any powers at all, in a world faced with both super and non-super villains, they have to prove their power. To give a bit of background as to the kind of world we are in, it's a semi-futuristic Earth and, after about 50 glorious years of superheroes saving the day, it's time for the non-supers to strike back.

The AMTA stands for the Association of Millitary Technological Advancement. It is an organisation set up originally as part of the British and American governments, eventually spreading so that most governments have one as part of it. A highly secretive organisation, it's a branch of the millitary meaning most people who work as soldiers or test subjects in it have to have come from the millitary. The scientists aren't taken from the millitary though. The inventors/researchers try to invent new devices and gadgets that heroes can use to save the day. Heroes are contracted either through the millitary or they sign-up, many having been chosen through specific events by the government. It was founded 5 years after the Association of Supers, formally part of the army too, until it split, but AMTA hid until the downfall of supers. The last superhero is now ill, you see and is about to die, that is why AMTA have started to recruit more members, especially from the public.

You see, they face a group of villains, outcasts from society, the government, you name it. The villains under the Outcasts Technological Union is full of AMTA outcasts and misunderstood scientists, with no villains with powers. The Association of Villains, on the other hand, does still contain superpowered villains, with it's codename as CHAOS.
In this rp, you will control one of the new AMTA heroes in their efforts to defeat the OTU and thwart CHAOS's plans.

Friends and Familiy:
Nemisis'/arch-Nemisis':

Hero name: Hosepipe (/Water-Pistol/Pressure Washer)
Real Name: Steven Watterson
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance: A young man of slightly above the average 5 foot 5 kind of height. He wears long blue trousers and a blue vest or top, with armour on his knees, elbows and on his main chest. He is all in blue. Often wears glasses/a helmet with a visor. A long tube comes from a pack on his back. The tube is attatched to a gun which looks like a pressure-washer. A belt full of water-driven tools.
Personality: Wants to expose everyone. Negative character, determined to do well, also determined to expose the truth out of society and, in particular Super-Star. Can be quite humourous at times. Once he's made a friend, he's normally loyal and expects them to be too and if they break their promise, he is often extremely harsh. Deep down, he just wants to good.
History: Started out washing cars with a hose and pressure washer in London, England. Helped arrest a car thief who tried to steal a car he was washing. He then used his pressure washer to help him in efforts to arrest other thieves. AMTA contacted him and upgraded his weapon to become a gun that shoots rapid water sprays at people, which is able to drown and choke them when shot in the mouth.
Friends and Family: Harry Waterson (Father)
Herminone Hosier (Mother)
Teddy Waterson (Younger brother: died in car accident)
Kendra Watterson aka The Siren (went missing: now is one of the super- powered leaders of CHAOS)
Amelia Pithon aka Bower Constrictor (Former-girlfriend, now part of OTU)
Nemisis': None yet

Interesting concept. I have some questions though:

1. So the heroes are more like elite squads(like overwatch) rather than a bunch of illegal vigilantes(like spiderman)?

2. What is the goverments and society's opinion on the superpowereds?

1. So the heroes are more like elite squads(like overwatch) rather than a bunch of illegal vigilantes(like spiderman)?
Very much so, though they do not all work in teams of heroes. They can work on their own, just that they are representing the governmental body. They are not illegal in any way, because they have the tech from the government. Many of what they do does break the law, but they are pardoned on many cases because of their role in this secret society. People who have seem them have tried to take them to court before though. There would be a faction of these illegal vigilantes in the world, you are talking about, like outlaws who don't wish to be part of the AMTA, but aren't villains, at the same time.
2. What is the goverments and society's opinion on the superpowereds?
Superpowers have been the norm in fighting crime for years, so they do not frown upon it. In fact, the public adored those who became famous through their superpowers and the non-supers were left with less fame and more hate. Though in recent years, as stated by the rp, there's been a kind of revolution where the superheroes were denounced by the normal heroes and then they have made the case for normal-heroes more of the normal opinion as time has gone on. Because superpowered humans are now all in the evil society, the government now associate all superpowered people as villains, if you know what I mean. It has been about 5-10 years since the last super-hero fell ill and is about to die, like, he can't do anything. As soon as the governmental bodies i described find someone new with superpowers, they immediately try to contain them and lock them up. I hope I answered your questions here.
