Which part of my post is present tense?
Began is a continual action, so it isn’t present. Everything else is either an indirect statement of past tense...

Also, we did 2 sentences of OOC text. Any other parentheses I add in my posts are grammatical/writing style, not OOC.

Even so the rules state that you have to write in third person past tense. If you do too many post like this then you could get the thread shut down.

Age: 15, almost 16.
Occupation: Trainer.
Appearance: Jack has white skin and black hair. He usually wears dark clothes and has black and white shoes. His hair is kinda thrown aside to the left side off his head, with the thrown aside hair hanging down to his throat, while he has short hair on the test of the head. He wears small earrings that is made out off steel.
Personality: He is competitive but doesn't talk alot. He is kinda scary/mysterious in a way, and most people avoid him.
Pokemon Team: Lucario (Ares), Steelix (Skadi), Metang (Hephaestus), Lairon (Thor) and Golbat (Hermes).
Other notes: He started traveling with his Riolu, qho evolves into a Lucario pretty quick. He has been traveling around alone trying to get stronger, and joined the evil team were he became an admin (If that's ok.) He wants to become a Steel type specialist, but he won't only use steel types since he would never leave his Golbat behind.

If Jack can't be a Evil team admin then I can remove that, I was just thinking he would be kind of like Gladion from Sun/Moon in a way. Also if Jack's Pokemon team is too strong then I can nerf it a bit.

This region looks well thought out, so I figured I'd try to nab a slot.

[c o d e] Name: The Author. Or Arthur. (many people mishear him and call him Arthur, so he can go by that)

Real Name (unimportant but just tossing it in so that I don't forget): Louis Rembrandt

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Occupation: International Police Detective

Appearance: He's a man of average height, with a compact build. A smaller frame packed to the brim with concealed muscle so that he doesn't stand out by being overly bulky. His clothes vary depending on the situation. When just lounging around he prefers an athletic tee with black shorts. That said, with his agency issued bank card, he has the funds to get any outfit he needs.

Personality: Loyal and headstrong, he didn't get the codename "Author" any old way. He writes his own endings, turning the tables at the last minute to pull off an impossible victory against the enemy. His mind is always at work, trying to figure out how to overcome his opponents. He doesn't care much for battling when he doesn't need to, opting to use his wits and intellect instead.

On-Hand Pokemon Team (his others remain at his headquarters, able to be withdrawn if needed):
  • Grovyle (James) [M] - Not a brute, more of a tactical striker. Closed off emotionally.
  • Gligar (Hunt) [M] - Doesn't let his team down. Passionate towards his partners.
  • Ariados (Ilsa) [F] - On the smaller side, Ilsa handles any stealth missions required. Also somewhat cold.
  • Zangoose (Jace) [M] - Brutal physical attacker with a bone to pick with any opponents.
Other Notes: Here in Lata to investigate the evil team. Most of his true backstory is shrouded in mystery.

Occupation: Trainer
Apperance: Michael is a 5"6 white boy with black hair and blue eyes. He doesn't wear any jewlery and usually just wears a grey hoodie and a pair of grey sweatpants with a small hole in the knee area that appeared after he tripped and got stabbed by a loose nail while moving into his new house.
Personality: Michael is lazy and generally irresponsible as seen through how he goes through everyday life and when he is expected to remember something or go somewhere at a certain time. Despite this, when in a battle he is willing to partake in Michael can be very competent and in some cases overwhelming with his strategies. When he doesn't want to battle however, he usually just lazily throws out commands at random
Team: Gengar, Mr.Mime, Muk and Oranguru
Additional info: His original starter was a Mudkip, but when it evolved into a marshdomp he was given the offer to get a haunter. Knowing how it evolved, he gladly accepted and ended up with the Gengar he usually travels with now. His favourite pokemon is Hypno, he hopes to find one someday. His favourite colour is blue. He likes the title of a gym leader, but doesn't want to put in the effort to have to battle everyday.

I have a sort of arc if you want to call it that where Michael becomes more responsible and eventually becomes a gym leader, i don't know what you'd think about that but just let me know if that's ok

Other Notes:
Aaron grew up in Rusticus town but moved to Amicus city for his adventure. Due to this, he has a bit of a southern accent. He got out of that habit but whenever it's someone from home or He gets angry/flustered

Eques is the only male pokemon on his team

Due to the multiple bakeries in that Rusticus, he developed quite a sweet tooth. His favorite is Rusticus' Chocolate Doryaki

Aaron has a minor cooking experience. He knows some recipes for soup and omelets but that's about it.

Lux often stays outside of her Pokeball

Aaron Stays at a pokemon center. The Nurse Joy there allows it as long as he helps out. He does things such as restock medicine, run errands and cleaning. He enjoys it because there's a nursery there and he loves to take care of the pokemon.

Age: 17
Occupation: Trainer
Appearance: Wes has dreamed of being a Pokémon trainer his entire life and looks the part. He has tan skin from being outside all the time, and wears a white hat with a red section blocked out in the front (Like an inverse of Red’s hat from the Manga). His hat pushes his messy brown hair down to the level where it reaches his unique golden eyes. He wears an unzipped black sweatshirt that has a white hood with its sleeves rolled up to his elbows over a red t-shirt that has a white outline of a pokeball design in the middle. He also wears dark blue jeans, white athletic shoes, and a silver one strapped backpack.
Personality: Wes is typically laid back and easy going, simply laughing at his own misfortunes or insults to him. However, when someone he cares for is troubled or insulted, he will stop at nothing to make things right. He is very intelligent and his greatest asset in battles is his adaptability and creativity, which allow him to come up with unique techniques.
Pokemon Team:
  • Arcanine (M) (Flash Fire) (Docile) (Alert to Sounds) Wes’s first and strongest Pokémon. It was given to him as a gift from Blaine.
  • Dewott (M) (Shell Armor) (Rash) (Strong Willed) Received as a Oshawott as a gift from Professor Juniper when she came to visit Blaine.
  • Roserade (M) (Poison Point) (Mild) (Thoroughly Cunning) Was caught as a Budew and was the first wild Pokémon Wes captured.
  • Scrafty (M) (Moxie) (Adamant) (Good Perseverance) Found as an abandoned Scraggy.
  • Swellow (M) (Guts) (Hasty) (Loves to Relax) Found as a Taillow with a hurt wing, helped nurse it back to health. Its size and wingspan are a bit larger than most Swellows.
  • Elekid (M) (Shiny) (Static) (Naughty) (Proud of its Power) Hatched from a Mysterious Egg that was gifted to him for winning a tournament.
Other Notes:
  • Wes grew up on Cinnabar Island Kanto and was basically raised by Blaine.
  • When he was 13 Professor Juniper came to visit Blaine and was impressed by Wes. He then offered to take him to Unova to start his journey with a Pokédex and a Oshawott.
  • He has traveled through Unova and Johto, competing and doing well in both of the regions’ Pokémon League Tournaments.
  • His older siblings are both very powerful trainers, with his brother defeating him in the Vertress Conference Quarter-Finals (Unova), who was then defeated by their sister in the Finals. His sister then defeated Wes in the Silver Conference Semi-Finals (Johto) after defeating their brother in the Quarter-Finals.
  • He has been offered the position of gym leader in other regions but turned it down because of his desire for time freedom.
  • When he needs to travel fast he will ride on Arcanine or have Swellow grab him by the back and fly him like a hang glider.
  • He doesn’t like keeping his Pokémon in pokeballs too much so he will often times camp so they can all stay out.
  • Although he is a very strong singles battler, he greatly prefers double or triple battles and is very sad that they aren’t more mainstreamed.

The creator of the RP (@CripsyPotatoChips ) hasn’t been online in almost a week. Perhaps for irl reasons. This was a well thought out RP and I don’t want it to die yet. Still holding out hope that they will return.

I am interested in joining. What cities have been taken for Gym Leaders and what Gym Types have been taken? I'm thinking of having a character or two join in on the fun. I don't normally do RPs in fan-made regions, but I'll make this an exception. :)

I have a scientist/researcher (specifically with genetics) character coming from Kanto who specializes in Psychic-, Ghost-, and Dark-Type and could be a gym leader if there is a spot available. Another character I have will be my Fire- and Dragon-Type trainer specialist, who came from Kanto to travel a new region he heard about and help train people's Pokemon. If my female researcher is a gym leader, my specialist trainer will come by to see his sister. And they are both 25 years old, so I'm wondering if that's okay.

EDIT: I see now that the only city that hasn't been taken is Ice themed and someone else has requested their character be an Ice-Type Gym Leader. I was wondering, if having another Gym Leader is alright, maybe have my character be a Gym Leader that isn't there all the time, and will have her gym in an abandoned research facility of some sort. Probably near Antiquorem Lake. Her badge is optional (if there is such a thing). Since she's not there all the time due to her travels and research, she isn't seen as the original 8 Gym Leaders and more of a "oh hey, there's a Gym Leader here, I guess". XD She also has different Pokemon that she'll use depending on how much experience the trainer has and how strong their Pokemon are.

She doesn't have to be a Gym Leader though. She can arrive with her brother in the Lata Region, but they will be quite strong already due to them having traveled in numerous other regions and having 15 years of travel and experience under their belt (not to mention living on a ranch and taking care of the ranch Pokemon since they were 5).

Also, Crispy did say that weekdays are busy for them, so it's safe to say that weekends will be prime time for a post from them. Just to get that out of the way.
