• A reminder: If you want to ask an RP thread creator if you can join their RP, do so in private - via conversation or profile messages - or via the thread's discussion thread, if one exists. Do NOT ask if you can join an RP on the RP thread itself! This leads to a lot of unnecessary OOC chatter and that's not what the RP boards are for.

This is clearly stated in our RP forum rules. If you've not read them yet, do so BEFORE posting anything in the RP forums. They may be found here (for Pokémon Role Play) or here (for General Role Play). Remember that the Global Rules of Pokécharms also apply in addition to these rule sets.

James pulled up into Independence, Missouri. It had been a long journey already, traveling countless miles from his home in Kent, England. It was a lot cheaper to cross the Oregon Trail than to go around Cape Horn. James was fairly rich. but he didn't want to spend that kind of money. He thought about all the newspapers that described the many deaths on the trail, but they didn't discourage him.
He hopped off the wagon that was being driven for him, and looked around. He needed a party to travel with, because traveling the trail alone just seemed suicidal, but before he looked for a good party to travel with, he stopped in a few of the stores. He knew that a good party would provide the wagon and the oxen, and maybe even food. He just wanted to pick up a few spices and medicines for a couple of cents.
He decided to walk into a store known as "George's General Store." He looked around, and asked the shop owner a few things about the trail, but he didn't seem to have ever been along the trail. He did hope to buy a few things to help him strike gold in Oregon.

Delilah perked up as the door opened, and the store owner- George- who'd needed cheap employment- barked at her to be as open and employee-y as possible. She huffed quietly, continuing to stock the shelves, associating herself around the areas that were lacking product. Spice, food, medicine, equipment. With all the recent trips to Oregon, people had been stocking up.
Reluctantly, she slowly did as she was told, staying in the "medicine", checking around to make sure there was enough of everything while George attempted to sweet-talk the new customer into buying literally everything. She scoffed faintly, continuing about her business, but tuning in to the conversation as well.
