Private/Closed “The Isles of Wær” RP

Wren was on a mission to get some credit. His father had been famous, and it was hard for him to live up to it. So, he had set out on a boat early this morning, with two other ships going alongside him, carrying his special forces of 2000 musket-men. He was heading to the city of Hjarta to meet with the Commonwealth’s rulers, and discuss some terms for a rather lucrative business deal. He had also sent ahead a messenger to tell them he was coming to speak about a deal.

Meanwhile, much further south, the Barbarian Queen sat on her ornate and ancient throne, when she suddenly began choking. Nobody in her court could figure out what was wrong, and soon enough, she was dead on the ground (you didn’t expect that one, did you?). The Empire of Kiux had once again fallen into chaos. Well, not exactly. Queen Geolia had a young daughter, who was only 7, named Hedra Geolia II. She had inherited the throne. However, being so young, she wasn’t very well-respected by the court. They often offered her their help, and soon enough, she took an offer for help from the 2nd in command of the Army (behind Hedra Geolia I before she died). His name was Puius Derstius, and he was well-known for being far more brutal than even Hedra Geolia I. He had burned many a PoW alive during their war against Il’vhin Gharde, and he had enslaved his own people during the civil war. So, in order to avoid unrest, he hid behind Hedra Geolia II, telling her everything to do, but not officially being Emperor.
Unsurprisingly, “Empress Geolia II’s” first action as empress was to increase the military conscription of peasants to double, making their standing military comprised of 30000 peasant militia and 4000 noble cavalry. Then, “she” ordered that 15000 militia and 2000 cavalry be sent to reoccupy Necromegalopolis from Il’vhin Gharde. The ships were already on their way.

It had been 6 years since the war between her foes, and the time to recover to a very long time then she anticipated. She had no choice but to go into hiding after winning the war to recover. She lost more then what she anticipated and to prevent that from happening again, she needed to use her stragetic mind instead of her reckless one to prevent anymore losses. She believes that she is at a complete disadvantage due to the numbers of her comrades being low but overthinked this a bit more clearly as this may just be more effective in taking out her opponents but she couldn't second guess herself because even she and her comrades have weaknesses on the battlefield. The archer warrior's proves to be more efficient in the shadow's up in trees then fully seen by the human eye which got her to think she possible could stand a change even if her numbers on the battlefield are low.

She wasn't going to go into battle unprepared of course so she took much time as she needed to train apprentice's to fill the missing spots of her lost comrades. Even horses dropped in numbers proving difficult for the warriors to ride horse back but luckily she had plenty of medicated herbs for any sudden injuries they would come across unexpectedly. She felt a nudge of a certain animal as she reached her hand out to touch the side of its neck. DawnAngel, a 4 year old mare North Swedish horse stood next to her harnessed well with horse accessories with a medium sized sun hat with a purple ribbon around it as it tilted slightly to cover her right eye. She had a brown coat with black on her strong legs along with her mane and tail. Her tail hair was cut short as a dark blue ribbon was tied above it. She had the hooves of a Clydal horse as her mane was a well good length with her bang just long enough to hang off the side of her face.

She has been with her ever since she was a filly as she needed to bare most of the colt's and filly's to raise the number of horses back up. DawnAngel didn't seem to mind as she understood that her children were needed to fight this war. She looked out towards the Mid Sea far away from the other islands. She looked up seeing the messenger falcon's in the air heading towards all the other islands. Each Falcon landed on a post next to the Message board but since there was only 5 of them they had to travel twice to get all the request herbs before returning back to Otso Zuria. Her wolf mask showed her everything as her island mostly wore canine mask's to hide their faces for their own safety. DawnAngel nieghed softly kicking the ground with her hoof as she felt JC's pet her neck. "I'll have to show there eventually since I'm the one that delivers the herbs personally so I can't avoid them forever, but as long as I wear this mask, there should be no trouble and if something does happen you won't have any problem stepping in won't you DawnAngel?" She asked her. She nieghed in agreement before watching the horizon with her.

Morai sat atop his throne in the large fortress on Il'vhin Thanéum, drinking a glass of dark-red cherry wine. His throne was set with a few skulls, from the foes he was proud of to kill, so much so that he kept them as treasure. Amongst them was the skull of a pirate captain who once, with a crossbow, took out Morai's own right eye in a firefight between their pirate ship and a tradecraft ship Morai was on. That same pirate, in close quarters, cut into Morai's shoulder with his cutlass. Morai managed to save himself by grabbing the Crossbow that the pirate captain had thrown away, as he had swapped it out with his cutlass, and shooting it into the captain's own eye, penetrating into his skull. Morai held this skull as his most beloved treasure, and it could be told apart from other skulls due to how cracked it was, and how most of the teeth on that skull were golden. Suddendly, one of his rangers, a group of people who alert others across the islands by bonfires and eagles, came into the throne room, explaining the situation. A group of enemy ships belonging to the hostile Barbarian Queen were travelling to Necromegalopolis, seemingly in hostile intent. Morai stood up, drinking the wine glass empty before putting it on the silver platter that one of his butler servants held up for him. He waved a guard over from the next room, who was his head general regarding fighting strategies and placing troops. " Vale, Kiux sent out their ships to steal Necromegalopolis from us. Do not worry about Necromegalopolis. Barely anyone lives there anyhow. Instead, launch a suprise attack on Kiux. Send out the Sentinels, Gunners, Defenders and Conquerors to take down Kiux by crossing Major Gulf. That should get them to back down. If it doesn't, you have my approval to hand out the No Mercy order. When you're done, inform the King of Necromegalopolis and tell him to stall the enemy. They'll know to steer back, but they'll do it when it's too late. That's when the king will know to hit a sneak attack, and give the troops the order to board the ships. Begone now. " Morai spoke to his general. The general saluted him and ran out the throne room, messenger following with him. Morai sighed and walked around the large fortress, to the bridges in the outside inbetween the fortress towers. There, guardsmen would guard cannons and hwacha's, a blueprint for a large construct that launches thousands of arrows that Morai once obtained upon one of the raids of pirates that dared to traverse through his seas. They were good for taking out people that were armoured lightly, or particular weak to arrows. The cannons instead were used as a type of mortar, used to take out the more heavily armoured troops. Of course, these weren't the only dangers that defended the fortress, as plenty of traps were also set. But, these were the most common. Morai looked over the horizon, to the sea, with the same cold, reserved look as ever.

Over at Majoráeth, through the signal of a message delivered by eagles, a command was given out to the king of the region. The King gave out command to his head general, who in turn headed to the barracks and piers to give out orders respectively. 2000 of every Conqueror, Sentinel, Gunner and Defender gathered by the docks, loading into the large armoured battleships the nation had. Every type of unit loaded into their four respective battleships, and the ships took sail into the sea, crossing the gulf. The troops themselves hid in the second layer of the ship, below the deck. A few gunners took hold of the cannons, and a few conquerors helped them load the cannonballs. Noticeable to the danger of these battleships especially was the front cannon, located below the deck, poking out of the wall underneath the bowsprit. This allowed the ships to take out enemies head-on and remain sailing towards their destination, saving time on turning the ship around to fire the side cannons. A former pirate, captured by the nation after their ship crashed by one of the Il'vhin bays, came up with this idea after settling down and becoming an engineer in Majoráeth. Morai adapted it with lesser thought and although it was a complex idea to build in, it had proven worthy when taking on fleets of ships equal to the size of their own. The ships remained sailing aseas, using as many shortcuts as they could to avoid longer traversing time between the kingdoms.

Although it was far too many soldiers to send on to a tiny island, they arrived all the same. Within hours of the ships landing on the island, the army had spread out along the beach, completely surrounding the town of Necromegalopolis.
Meanwhile, a trader reached Kiux, who had spotted the Il’vhin Gharde fleet inbound. He burst into the palace, pushing past the guards, and shouted to the ‘queen’, with her ‘advisor’ beside her, that they were coming.
Derstius was surprised at this new development. “I had excepted them to go around the bay, your majesty,” he said to the Queen, “I think your best course of action is to prepare for the siege of the city, since our whole navy is transporting the army to Necromegalopolis. And, send a messenger to the army defending our border. Tell them to push further inland towards Majoráeth.”
The Queen, although young, knew what was going on to an extent, and objected, “But won’t they be able to surround our whole city without a fight?”
Derstius replied, “I’m counting on it.”

So, soon enough, the entire city had retreated behind its walls. And the citizens had begun crafting bows and arrows out of sticks and stones, and taking whatever they had left in the armory in order to hold off the Il’vhin Gharde forces that would soon surround them.
At the exact same time, the army holding the mountain pass was given the order to push towards Majoráeth. The order was disagreed with by about 6000 of their peasant units, who all refused to follow the general and went back towards the capital. They wouldn’t get there in time to stop any siege though. The remaining 11000 troops continued their march to Majoráeth.

The ships would not sail for long due to the distance between the two cities, and soon arrived at Kiux's bays. The front cannons began firing into the city walls, putting holes into it, before the ships even begun docking. As the ships docked, each ship had fired between 5-6 cannonballs at the city walls already, cracking a large hole open in it. The first ship opened, loading out the sentinels. They took the front line of the troop, rushing to the city as fast they could. Then, the defenders came out after, holding up their shields to defend the last two troops, the gunners and the conquerors, from being shot. They marched toward the city, after the sentinels, catching up with them easily. The Defenders formed a circle, and the Conquerors and Gunners used the combined protection of the sentinels and the defenders to hide themselves. The Sentinels marched onwards, being the first to step foot over the rubble of the hole in the city's walls, marching into the city.

In Necromegalopolis, the King gave the order for citizens and troops to take hiding. A few 500 hunters were present in the city, hiding amongst the shadows, awaiting for the army to march in further. Each man and woman armed themselves and hid in either their own house, in the shadows, in a tree or any other spot they could hide. They would wait until the enemy marched into the town until falling into their back to attack them. They were the hunters had their back incase the enemy would try to counter or flee. The King hid in his own type of bunker, a small stone cellar hidden underneath the hatch under the royal bed in the king's own sleeping room.

A hunter who was out patrolling, jumping through the trees noticed a majority of Kiux soldiers march into their territory, towards Majoráeth. Immedieatly, he set off, leaping through the foilage back to Majoráeth. He quickly informed the head general, who had to take an extra trip back to the barracks. 1000 Gunners and Defenders were set at the capital's gates to hide behind the inner walls of the city, ordered to shoot the enemy when they began marching toward the gates. The citizens cleared out town, to make it look appear empty, as to deceive the enemy into a false sense of security, to make them think this takeover would be a breeze. Leading into the gates was a large dirt path, leaving anyone wandering in our out of the city out in the open, making it the perfect shooting range for holding out the city. 2000 Paladins and 1000 Conquerors were stationed outside the city walls, hiding, to make sure none of the enemy troops would attempt to sneak around. And, if it came to the enemy waltzing into the city itself, bypassing the gates, they would suprise the enemy, blocking the way out to trap them to finish them off.

The armies surrounding Necromegalopolis had already begun closing in on the town. Soon enough, they had entered the town with their catapults, and begun hunting down the town’s residents in smaller groups. The general in charge had yet to receive word of the attack on the capital, and, seeing that they had the assault under control, sent half of the army to go retake the relatively undefended lands north of the mountains. The first group to breach the door of a house immediately slayed the frightened citizens inside, laughing at them and saying, “More to add to your mass burial site.”

The general leading the 11000 to Majoráeth saw the seemingly weak area in front of the city and ordered his 9000 peasant soldiers to charge in at the gate and burn it down.

The walls of Kiux were already breached. The citizens within were mostly armed with swords, and had managed to pull themselves together into lines of some sort, so they weren’t completely disorganized. Seeing that the enemy formation was hiding their ranged soldiers inside of a circle of shields, however, they quickly went for blood, and were immediately disorganized, sprinting towards the enemy.
Meanwhile, the 6000 peasant soldiers from the army had finally gotten back to the city, and the unarmored soldiers also charged in at the circle of attackers, but from the other side.

While some citizens were scared, most of them were brave to fight back. Upon the soldiers entering their home, they jumped them, swinging their weapons and shooting their bows at them. It was a feeble attempt to push the soldiers back, but it was one without fear, and the citizens wouldn't die without a fight if they had any honour in them. Outside, the hunters spread across the city began firing at the army from all sides, hiding within the trees or atop the roofs of houses. A swarm of arrows befell the groups of soldiers, swiftly taking out those who hadn't been armoured well. Necromegalopolis wouldn't be taken over without a resist, even if it was a hopeless situation.

Majoráeth's gates suddendly opened, all of the gunners coming out of hiding, lining up infront of the gate. They all shot down the soldiers in a rush of heavy fire, a mix between bullets, small cannonballs, arrows and crossbow bolts. When the coast was cleared, a second wave of projectiles was rushed; in the meantime that the gunners held the enemy in place, three hwachas were rolled up in the city square, fully loaded. They were aimed at the group, and let loose was the rain of death; a storm beyond a thousand arrows, raining down upon the many soldiers. Just when it couldn't get any worse, the conquerors stormed the gates, finishing off the intruders while the sentinels snuck behind the enemy, circling them. They came out of the woods, mowing down enemys when the rain of arrows was over. The Fury of Il'vhin Ghardé was unleashed, and it was as unrelenting and brutal as ever. The Defenders that were hiding with the gunners got infront of them and began moving out, protecting the gunners.

The Defenders and Conquerors split up, seeing the rush of enemy soldiers attempting to flank them from behind. The Gunners turned around and shot at the assailants, also spreading up while the defenders and conquerors took the middleground, charging at the soldiers. They bashed them away with their massive shields and clashed their sword against them, fighting back, while the conquerors finished them off with swift slashes. The Sentinels on the other side had merely walked past the citizens, mowing them down with their heavy weaponry. The meager weapons of the citizens had done no harm to the sentinels, despite their constant attacks. It would require more to harm these troops, as they were top-notch tanks of the Il'vhin Ghardé, trained to endure the hits coming at them. They slowly but surely moved into the heart of the city, caring little for the citizens. They did not pursue those who ran away, instead opting to move towards the large keep of the nation where the royal family would be.

The front cannons of the ships fired again, the crew aboard them rotating the ships toward the enemies swarming to the group lagging behind. They hit the area around their own troops, making sure none were hit. They ceased fire when the enemies got too close, instead opting to roll out a catapult from the ship's loading bay. They loaded them with multiple cannonballs and got to work firing them at the city itself, aiming to launch them at the castle. Of course, when they shot, a few cannonballs would go stray, wrecking the homes they hit.

She knew she wasn't crazy as she could hear loud sounds of cannon's firing. She knew this wouldn't end well despite the noise as she folded her arms against her chest. "-would this be harder then I thought it would..to defend my country...luckily I have plenty of medical herbs for severe injuries once their battle is over...and if I were to take a guess...Il'vhin Thanéum attacked Kiux...-" she thought sighing as she heard DawnAngel neigh at her. "oh right, I just remembered I sent at least two of the messenger Falcons holding medical herbs...hopefully, they are already there so it can be delivered quickly if they need it" she told herself as she looked up at the sky. "Il'vhin Thanéum is brutal when fighting that I can say but I can't hide forever, war is impossible to avoid but I am not ready just yet and most of the horses are still colt's and fillies but are growing quite fast" she added as DawnAngel gently rested her head on her face.

She gave a chuckle before grabbing her face gently petting the front of her nose. "I can always count on you DawnAngel, I trained you for a very long time and you are one of the strongest horses I have ever trained, we live together then die together...it's sad yes but that's just how it isn't...even Shadow and NightFall his black Stallion know this as well and he is part of the warrior's...don't get me wrong..I fear war....fear of dying but if that's how it will end then so be it...."she said resting her forehead on her face closing her eyes. DawnAngel looked to her handler before closing her own eyes neighing softly to agree with her.

Just when the 2000 nobles who were hanging back should’ve charged in to break the encirclement (if they had any honor), they rode away on the retreat, knowing that they would escape. The 9000 peasants were doomed, and soon, more of them began to see it. Many of them put down their arms and began to pray to their gods that they would be spared. But most spared their own honor, and continued to fight a hopeless fight until they died.

The soldiers at Necromegalopolis continued fighting throw the arrows, prioritizing the hunt of the archers whenever they saw one, over the murder of the townspeople.

The castle got hit by a few cannonballs, but overall stayed pretty strong, with much thicker walls than the city itself. The peasants and citizen militia were much less well trained than the enemy, and worse equipped, but they greatly outnumbered them two to one. The archers were pouring down on the enemy from the walls as well.

Messengers had already been sent to basically every neighboring (underlined to emphasize that messengers only went to nearby kingdoms) kingdom to help them beat back the Il’vhin Gharde threat.

Figuring that if there was an unprecented attack like this, whoever set this attack on Il'vhin Ghardé would try to lie themselves into alliances, for insurance against Il'vhin. Morai moved back into the inner rooms of his fortress, to his own room. He let out his pet eagle, who he used to deliver messages personally and let him sit on his shoulder as he began writing papers explaining their situation and why they are attacking Kiux out of a sudden. It also explained the sudden takeover the Kiux did on Necromegalopolis. Finishing the paper, Morai rolled it up and bound it together with some string. He tied it to his trusty falcon and let him fly out of the tower window, towards the country of Hábouokami, being aware of their delivery falcons. Morai was hoping that the leader of that land would be understanding and would warn the other lands of a possible deception from the Kiux Kingdom.

The Sentinels would catch some of the nobles trying to escape and cut the legs off their horses, but most of the nobles had gotten away safely. The Sentinels didn't bother pursueing as they weren't fast enough. The Defenders and Conquerors swiftly took care of the soldiers still struggling and ceased the bloodshed when all that was left were those who gave up themselves. The people giving up were taken prisoner and led into Majoráeth were they were thrown behind bars, yet they weren't given any restraint. The Il'vhin soldiers did not deem them as threats anymore and set a few guards to hold their cell incase of an escape attempt. The majority of troops began moving to the border of Kiux, now planning to push back anyone else trying to break into the Il'vhin Region.

Some of the gunners and conquerors had fallen victim to sword and arrow, causing the gunners to rush at the city, accompanied by a quarter of the defenders who were protecting them from arrows. The gunners were doing a gun 'n run, shooting at the archers on the city walls back and rolling out of the way if an arrow was flying at them. They split inside the city, using the crowd to move towards the towers. Their plan was to take out the guards to the towers and to get up on the walls to take out the archers and get an advantage. The fighting expertise of the remaining conquerors and defenders had gotten in handy in mowing down the enemy, who were less trained and less equipped than them. They managed to stall out time until 1000 of the 2000 sentinels returned, the other half remaining the city, cutting down those who remained fighting. The Conquerors began moving towards the city one by one as the Sentinels took their place. The Sentinels had swung slower than them, but they could cut down way more troops with their might than the Conquerors could. What the Conquerors had in speed that the Sentinels lacked, the Sentinels made it up in power that in turn the Conquerors lacked.

The Sentinels inside Kiux swung their weaponry, striking down those who stood in their way of approaching the castle gates. The arrows flying at them were deflected, bouncing off their heavy, resistant armour as if they were made of rubber. They begun splitting up, moving back down the path while some stayed at the gate, clearing out a path for the catapults and cannons to take down the gates.

The Catapults remained firing at the castle with multiple cannonballs, with half of the ship's crew going back to main the front cannons. They turned their ships around straight, opening fire on the castle walls again, attempting to crack enough space open to get their cannonballs all the way through to the castle gates.

OOC: How did your soldiers cut off the legs of a moving horse?

The naive child on the throne refused to budge, no matter how much Derstius ordered her. So, Derstius the Dishonorable fled the city from the back of the castle, along with 2000 palace guards equipped with full heavy iron armor and long pikes. They met up with the 2000 noble cavalry, who had also escaped at Majoráeth, at the northernmost city of Mekharius, which is also where the remaining 17000 forces from the attack on Necromegalopolis went once they were finished securing the island. Their last stand forces seemed to be shaping up to be quite powerful in numbers.

Meanwhile, the massacre at the breach in the wall was over, and castle gates had been opened by a traitor inside, letting the enemy soldiers swarm into the palace and see the little queen sitting on her throne.

OOC: Since they were encircling the group, some were also standing behind the nobles. They swung in the direction of the horse's legs as they were moving towards them, trying to immobilize them to stop the nobles. If that seems too unreal, I can remove that part. Also if sentinels seem overpowered, remember that either heavy weapons (such as direct catapult shots, heavy hammers if swung enough can cause large dents, aswell as cannons can dent the armour easily) or hot temperature can kill them, aswell as electricity.

The Hunters and Citizens did the best they could defending their city, but at last they had fallen victim to the assailants. Only the king, whose secret chamber had not been found, was safe within his little stone bunker underground. He refused to come out now, as he thought that enemy troops were still patrolling the area. Necromegalopolis was overtaken by the Kiux Kingdom. ...for now.

The Sentinels, Gunners, Defenders and Conquerors had entered the castle, only fighting those who had still attacked them back. They approached the throne, seeing... a little girl on it? They lowered their weapons, confused. The captain leading the sentinels, a man with a scar in the centre on his face, a stubble for a beard and gray curly hair approached the girl, haven taken his helmet off. " You.. are the queen of this nation? Hm.. you couldn't have possibly done this attack yourself.. say, did someone 'help' you do this, little girl? " The captain asked, kneeling on one knee to show respects to who he assumed to be atleast the heir to the throne.

The troops at the beach ceased the fight, taking those who gave themselves up with them in their ship as prisoners. The Gunners breaching the towers killed off any enemy soldiers that remained fighting. There had been a loss with the gunners and conquerors, less so with the Defenders and Sentinels, mainly based on how protected they were. The gunners were the most lost, 582 of them having died in the battle. 328 Conquerors had fallen, only 152 Defenders died in the bloodshed and, unsuprisingly, no sentinels had fallen at all, considering their almost imbreachable armour. The ships closed up, a few sentinels and conquerors coming along to guard the prisoners. The naval units moved back to the port of Majoráeth where the prisoners were put into their respective jailcells.

The troop that was marching to the border was reaching the borders of Kiux, marching into the city. Those who stood guard at the border would've had no chance for the sheer threat they were. Those who were loyal to their kingdom were to fall at the hands of the large troop of soldiers. The soldiers rallied up in the city, standing in the center square of Kiux, awaiting orders from their respective generals.

She felt two talons grasp her shoulder as she turned to look who it was as it was a Snowy owl she had named Everest her pet owl. She was mostly was her messenger owl to deliver urgent messages towards the kingdoms of sudden danger. She trusted her completely since she does a well good job with it. She shifted her eyes back at the sky for a moment longer until she saw an eagle dive down to her. "An Eagle? What's an Eagle doing here?" she said reaching her hand out to the bird as it grasped her bandaged hand. She lowered her hand to eye level with the bird of prey until she saw a rolled-up message attached it. "A message? From who exactly?" she said slowly pulling out the message seeing the kingdom's name "Il'vhin Thanéum". "It's from Morai Lord of Il'vhin Thanéum?" she added looking to the eagle under her mask before back at the note as she opened it slowly to read it. DawnAngel just sniffed at the note with her nose neighing a bit as she looked curiously at the Eagle.

OOC: I guess it isn’t that unreal, but the nobles were outside of the group. They had sent the peasants ahead to the gate. I think the heavy victory that you won is realistic, because I tried to make the empire weak on purpose. They had already lost one war to you, gone through a civil war, and had their leader assassinated, with a child on the throne.
Also, we might be going a little bit too fast for the roleplay.

Hedra replied to the man, “I did have an advisor, but he left me here and took his soldiers with him. You seem qualified. Could you be my new advisor?”
She didn’t seem to realize that he was from another kingdom at all, or maybe she just didn’t care.

Messengers from Mekharius were already well on their way back to Kiux with a rather unreasonable peace deal. If accepted, they would get Necromegalopolis, and no other borders would be changed (the enemy would not get their occupied capital city of Kiux).

The mood in the Chieftain Council was tense.
"Why did you call us here, Balder?" Einar, Chieftain of Hnefana asked. "The next scheduled Council Meeting isn't until harvest season."
Kari, Chieftain of Hendur nodded. "The Harvest Festival planning is a mess this year. I'm sure whatever we're going to talk about is important, but couldn't it have waited for the harvest?"
"Unfortunately, not." Balder, Chieftain of Hjarta said. "You remember my plans to reach out to our neighbours?"
Einar groaned. "This again? We've been through this, I refuse to expose ourselves to potential threats until we've managed to get a standing army and navy in place."
"Well," Balder said. "That isn't up to us anymore. I'm afraid the choice has already been made for us."

Einar looked at Balder suspiciously. "What are you talking about, Balder. What did you do?"
Ragna, Chieftain of Heila spoke up. "Actually, it wasn't Balder's choice at all."
Einar turned to aged Chieftain. "What?"
"Balder and I were by the docks, looking at a set of longboats that my shipwrights designed," Ranga explained. "When a foreign vessel was spotted on the horizon."
Einar stood up, hand on his axe. "Who were they? Attackers? Spies? Where are they now?"
Hendur laughed. "No, nothing of the sort, just a messenger."
"And where is this messenger now?"
"Outside, actually." Hendur said. "I thought we might want to hear the message together."
"You're going to allow a potential assassin into a room with all four of Holm's Chieftains?!" Einar shouted.
"What?" Levi asked Einar. "I thought you knew basic self-defence. Or is that fancy axe just for show?"
Einar grumbled. "Fine. Send in this 'messenger'"

Mallick stood alone on the balcony of his spacious bedroom atop Shroudveil’s tallest spire, staring out at the sprawling city beneath him and the seemingly endless rolling hills of green.
A series of three knocks came from his door
“Enter” he declared lazily still staring out at the expanse. A lone squire entered the room gingerly and spoke
“Your Majesty, I apologize for the interruption. But you are needed in the council room”
“Ah yes very well, inform the council I will be down shortly” with a respectful bow the squire spun on his heels and exited the room. The journey down the steep stairs of the spire gave Mallick time to shake himself free of his daytime musings.
“Ah your majesty, We have been awaiting your arrival” Scorpius rose elegantly as Mallick entered the room bowing slightly as he waited for the King to take his place at the head of the table.
“My King the government of the northern isle has collapsed the land is now unclaimed and ready for the taking, shall we send a force to establish an outpost colony?”
“Interesting, take 1000 men of your choosing and 200 builders and surveyors, I want the islands mapped and resources inventoried immediately” replied Mallick taking a sip of the amber liquor of his glass goblet, Scorpius gave the king a respectful nod and sat down again
Once Scorpius had retaken his seat, an aging bald man with a precisely groomed greying beard rose to speak. Brackelm, Mallick’s resource advisor and high lord of the island of Soul-hollow.
“The granaries across the islands are overflowing. This years harvest has surpassed all records, yet there is still a significant portion of the harvest we can’t hold; I suggest we take these additional resources to the rest of the archipelago islands as an initial gift to begin our alliance negotiations. The grain would be left to rot if not utilized soon”
“Having some allies across the archipelago would also grant us potential footholds from which to expand our reaches, perhaps it is time we abandon the policy of isolation which my father so actively pushed for, times are changing and we need to seize the opportunities which arise” the youngest member of the council spoke up from his place at the end of the table, the young Willem the second. A slim man Given his noble birth and mere 20 years but wise far beyond his years, a trait inherited from his recently deceased father Willem the Wiseman. Mallick’s previous political advisor whose position had been passed to his son as the older Willem’s final wish. The new advisor was extremely different to his father, full of new young plans and ambition but intelligent nonetheless.
“That isolation kept us safe, for centuries, it kept us strong. Abandoning it leaves us open to attack, it weakens us. We know our fortresses to be impenetrable why would we risk the lives of our men or waste our resources with allies? You know your father wouldn’t dare suggest such foolishness and neither would you if Synzon still Lived” Scorpius slammed his closed fist down upon the table as he spoke before the room erupted in a wave of arguments and and yelling
“ENOUGH!!” Yelled Mallick his voice echoing like thunder on the walls of the chamber. “My father is Dead Scorpius, I am the king now and I will make my own decisions, I am not my father, Brackelm arrange for the excess grains to be brought to Soul-port load it upon three ships. Willem send word to the Holm Commonwealth, Il'vhin ghardé, and Sodroaca Ostral, that we wish to begin alliance negotiations. Scorpius if you do not believe our fortifications to be enough to repel an invasion I suggest you fix that. Erect a new guard-tower overlooking Soul-port, before you depart north, if we are to open our ports to allies they must be readily defensible against our enemies. This meeting is adjourned”
“But sire we still have much to discuss...” mumbled Brackelm having regained his composure.
“I said it was adjourned! Willem with me” Mallick snapped at him rising from the table and exiting the council chambers, the young Willem in toe. The pair climbed the stairs of Mallick’s spire in silence “Are our fathers agents still in position?” He asked once the door had closed behind him
“They made sure that there were always Little whisperers positioned across the archipelago, loyal to us. any particular orders for our whisperers?”
“We need information, military movements, political meetings, anything they can find I want to know, information is power and power is control”

The eagle cawed and flew away again, taking off into the air. During the meantime that the eagle flew back, Morai had written more papers explaining his situation with the battle and why not to trust the Kiux until the Il'vhin had dealt accordingly with them. He also wrote in these papers to pass this message on to the other countries to let them know not to be deceived. Morai took the walk out the fortress and into the city itself, stopping by the postal service where falcons and eagles would be used to deliver mail across lands. He handed the caretaker of the birds the letters and told him to send them to all the different lands. Morai was then called to the dock by one of his servants, who handed him a telescope to look out over the seas. Sure enough, there were ships out on the sea not belonging to them, heading their way. However, the ships did look unarmed. They seemed to be rather loaded with something.. perhaps a transportation ship, or a merchant. " Accept the ship into the bay, but set up some guards to be sure. If they are friendly, do NOT treat our guests impolitely. " He ordered, starting to take the walk back to his fortress. The gates guarding the entrance and exit of the docks were opened for the transportation ship to dock properly, and 200 Sentinels were stationed at the docks, to make sure nothing would end up in a sudden attack.

The captain budged in his suit of armour, taking it off to reach for a scroll by his belt. " I'm sorry little girl, but I cannot be an advisor. I am Captain Nilrén, one of the many captains of the Il'vhin Ghardé Sentinels. However, I am sure our king can set you up with an advisor if you form an alliance with us. We are willing to share this whole island with you, and we'd give you permission to traverse free between the two borders. All you need to do is sign here. Just write your name there. " The Knight said, unwrapping the scroll and unrolling it, pointing to the bottom line of the alliance offering.

The groups of troops around Kiux slowly began wandering back to Majoráeth, the Sentinels staying at the city to guard it against any possible stranger assailants or rebels. The few began wandering the streets, when one sentinel walked into the city square, stopping by the fountain. He waved to the citizens of Kiux, to round them up for a speech. The man took off his helmet, revealing his blue eyes and light-brown messy hair. " People of Kiux. We are the Il'vhin Ghardé Sentinels. We are not here to wage war. We are here because we had been attacked by your majesty's troops. We do not look to do bloodshed like our past ancestors. You may return to your usual lives. Do not fear our presence. We will do no harm, as long as there are no weapons raised against us. That is all. " The Sentinel finished, putting his helmet back on and lifting his massive warhammer.

The little girl atop the big throne whined, “But my advisor is supposed to tell me whether or not I should sign papers like this...”
In the end, she signed it anyway.

Wren saw the massive doors of the council chamber open. Behind him was his army. It was large enough to incapacitate the entire island, but this was a mission of peace. They were meant as simple bodyguards. So, he signaled for his army to not follow him into the chamber.
He bowed before the council and said, “My name is King Wren Cyiti of Kytirome, the three islands just north of yours. I have come here to offer you an alliance. On top of that, I was also wondering if you would be willing to settle the three islands to the west with our help. We would only ask that we get the smallest one, and you would get 2 (he is unaware that one has already begun to be settled) more big islands. We need settlers, and you need ships. We give you the ships to settle these lands, and you will be able to almost double your holdings.”

The 25th Bam had received news from one of his spies that Kiux was under siege, so he sent a ship full of half his assassins to check it out, they arrived at Mekharius, they moved from the ship onto dry land, once on dry the the assassins moved through the city, killing any soldier they found, they eventually reached what seemed to be the main force, dealing with any foolish enough to leave the main body of the army and then sitting in rafters and on rooftops. (This is the advisors group, @Pokéboy098 )

At the same moment, a peace convoy had arrived at the shore of Otso Zuria to make a peace agreement, the convoy had made their way to the gates of the castle and had asked one of the guards to inform the Queen of their arrival.

She read the letter clearly as she saw the Eagle fly off back to Il'vhin ghardé. "I see that's why they attacked Kiux well if they overthrown them once before Hm alright well I will warm the other islands in the meantime" she said sending out more messenger Falcon's to alert the other islands to be on their guard. She wrote back to Morai that she understands why he is doing so as she will help in any way she can. She also wrote that she can visit the island herself to help fallen but injured soldiers with the medical herbs she provides but will be very risk for her unless she is completely guard. She rolled the paper up before tying a ribbon around it before sliding it under Everest's right hair into the small holder that was placed there. "Quickly Everest, send the message over to Morai, Lord of Il'vhin ghardé" she told the snowy owl as she hooted before flying off her shoulder into the skies. The guards at the gate saw the peace convoy before one of them spoke. "She is out at the moment so I advise you to stay where you are, no one can enter without her permission and see has to see if your a threat or not" he answered remaining on guard. Everest arrived at Il'vhin ghardé until she saw the palace building where Morai was stationed. She slightly screeched making her way inside through the high window until she saw him sitting at his throne. She flapped her wings to steady her landing before folding them against her to rest.

The council looked at eachother warily. It seemed like one of those deals that just had to have some catch. And besides, nobody had missed the massive army behind this 'King Wren'
"It's... tempting," Kari said at last. "Almost too tempting."
"I notice that you brought an army with you." Einar continued. "A precaution, or a threat?"
"Well, if it is a threat, we probably don't want to antagonise them too much." Ragna joked. She turned to King Cyiti. "I don't think any of us see an issue with your offer of an alliance."
Balder nodded. "Yes, but there's a lot to consider with your settlement proposal. It's a big risk, and we won't make a decision until we can absolutely guarantee the safety of our settlers."

"That army of yours is troubling though." Ragna commented. "Will that become a permanent fixture on our islands if we accept your offer?"
"If could very well be what we need to defend our settlers, or a threat to them in of itself." Einar said. "We may need time to mobilise our own forces."
"We can't do that, Einar." Kari said. "All working men are needed for the harvest."
Einer bit back a curse. "You weren't supposed to tell them that!" he hissed
Balder ignored his fellow Chieftains and adressed King Cyiti again. "Well, I'm sure we'll be discussing this a lot in the future-"
"Unfortunately so," Ragna interrupted. "I have a headache already."
"-but for now we'll agree tentatively to both points. We won't make immediate moves for settlement until the Harvest Festival, but I'd like to see where this goes in the future."

“If you need an army to protect your settlers, then as our allies, you will have one. But, this army is meant merely to protect myself. It wouldn’t be wise for a king to sail to an unknown land without protection.” Replied Wren. “I’ll head back to my ships now. We will be sending some settlers tomorrow to each island to survey. We’ll tell you what we find.”

Wren (along with his whole army) quickly sailed away to the city of Irome. Upon arrival, he was greeted by a messenger from the most powerful kingdom to the south, Il’vhin Gharde. Although his father had long wanted to get a good trade agreement with them, Wren had always thought of Il’vhin Gharde as a rival kingdom and a threat to Kytirome’s power. This was part of the reason he wanted to give land and troops to the Holm Commonwealth: he needed a powerful buffer state between him and his rival. So, upon hearing the news that Il’vhin Gharde was combatting the empire of Kiux, he sent the messenger back to Il’vhin Gharde peacefully with a messenger saying that he would not join in either side. And once the enemy messenger was gone, he sent out messengers to Sodroaca Ostral, Habouokami, and Luciferi Obumbratio telling them that Il’vhin Gharde’s expansion was a threat to everyone, and anybody who helps them would be given heavy tariffs on trade with Kytirome.
—————————————————————————————————————————————
Derstius saw what was going on and quickly ordered his soldiers to put up shields to protect them. Then he shouted at the mysterious force, “Who are you, and why have you attacked us? Are you soldiers from Il’vhin Gharde? No matter. You have provoked the (once) great empire of Kiux. Now face us on the battlefield and prepare to be destroyed!”

" My lord! My lord! We have formed an alliance with the Kruix Kingdom, but the Luciferi Obumratio Kingdom had sent out their assasins to the coasts of Mekharius! We do not know why they are here, but we must protect the Kiux Empress, for it is our duty of being allies to the kingdom! " A messenger boy shouted, running into the throne room, huffing heavily. Morai got up from the throne and fledged his teeth. This was to be a conflict between his and the Kruix Kingdom. A conflict with an immense battle... ..no, that battle was over. The Kruix Kingdom was now allied with the Il'vhin, and the main island were to be shared between both Kingdoms. The Kruix Kingdom had not fallen, it had been weakened, but it was supported now by Il'vhin. Morai called to his head general, who had previously returned from his trip to Majoráeth. " Order the troops at Kriux to stay on guard and protect the town at all costs. These Assasins are not allowed inside the castle or its city, neither are they allowed to kill any Kriux Royalty or Citizens from the city! I will personally send a message to The 25th Bam to question him about the assasins and to ask him to give him the order to not cross over to the Kiux Capital. I will allow you to be in charge of this defense until the situation is cleared. Get a small boat to go across the gulf to deliver the empress to Majoráeth as protection. Dismissed. " Morai said, walking to his room. The Head General and Messenger Boy ran out of the throne room, into the city of Thanéum. Morai noticed an owl following him, carrying a scroll of paper. Morai took the scroll off the owl and begun reading it. " Assisting soldiers would be good.. but I can't promise safety. Not at a time like this. " He said, writing his response on the back of the scroll. He wrote that while the assistance is appreciated, the safety cannot be guaranteed as they seem to be experiencing one attack after another. Morai rolled the scroll up, set it back in the Owl's paper holder and tied it together again. Then he send the owl off, back to JC Wolfa. Morai got another blank scroll and started writing, addressing the sudden assasins that Bam had sent into the Kriux Kingdom, explaining how the conflict happened and why this upsets Morai, specifically explaining the new-founded alliance. He also wrote in the scroll the orders that Morai gave his soldiers surrounding Kruix, explaining a warning to not enter deeper into the Kruix Kingdom, specifically to near the Kruix Capital itself. Morai closed this scroll and tied it to his eagle's foot, sending him off to the Luciferi Obumratio Kingdom. He was gonna have to attack the assasins if they tried to near Kruix Kingdom. After all, that is what alliances do. They help eachother.

The Captain of the Sentinels formed the scroll back together and stuffed it in his pocket again, equipping his armour. " Thank you, your Highness. We will deliver you a fit advisor shortly. For now, we- " The man was cut off, as a Conqueror barged into the room. " Pardon me sir, but we were given orders to strictly guard this town! All perimeters must be cleared, assassins from the Luciferi Obumratio Kingdom had set out into this region! A boat has arrived to set the empress safe in Majoráeth! " The man explained before running out again. The Captain turned to the small girl. " Your highness, this is sudden, but we need to get you to safety. We have a boat at the bay outside the city that can get you to Majoráeth in no time. It is too dangerous out here at a time like this! " The man said quickly, then turned to the soldiers standing guard. " Troops! Split up! Half patrols the city, the other half patrols the Castle! We need to keep this city safe, regardless from who it may be! "

She felt a sudden wind blow through as her long dark brown hair that was pulled up in a ponytail blew to where the wind was blowing. She heard a screech from an owl as she looked up seeing it was Everest as she reached out for her to grasp her hand before pulling out the note but then had received another letter but from Linux about how Il'vhin ghardé expansion was a threat. "Hm....well this is a problem...one is a threat while the other was attacked because of being overthrowned by its enemy" she sighed. "The safety part I can understand so I'll just have some archer warriors in the shadows in hiding with two bodyguards just beside me just in case" she said as she pulled out another paper and wrote that she would visit his island and help assist and talk about an important matter and said not to worry about her safety as she got it covered. She rolled up the paper again and slipped it under Everest's leg before sending her off again back to Il'vhin ghardé. She got on DawnAngel before she tapped her side to go as she galloped off back to the gate. Everest flew long again before arriving back in Il'vhin ghardé but didn't have much of a problem finding the palace building. She screeched again for his attention as she grasped his shoulder with her talons that was covered with her feathers.

She arrived back at the gate entrance seeing the two bodyguards but also a peace convoy. "Is there a specific reason why you are in front of my gate soldiers?" She asked in a stern way.

After receiving the letter from Morai, Bam responded, explaining that he had heard that a battle was occuring and had sent soldiers to train in live combat, he was not aware that he was intruding and would pull his men back if needed, he also added that a message from his troops said they had found some guy, who is apparently the advisor to the ruler of Kruix. He attached his response to his messenger crow and sent it to Morai.

The captain of the convoy, Cpt. Bellamy Blake, looked to the Queen, "your majesty, we are here on behalf of The 25th Bam, ruler of Luciferi Obumbratio, he wish to sign a peace accord with you but regrets to say he could not make it himself, but has given me his Royal permission to sign it in his absence" he stated simply and politely.

The soldiers crouched in there positions in silence, Cpt. Morana Gray, stood and jumped down in front of the opposing troops, "we are not from Il’vhin Gharde, old man. We are here on a field training task, so we will simply kill you and leave, we mean no harm to the rest of your country, just you and your group here" as she spoke, the rest of the 10,000 assassins dropped down and took up ready stances, they were prepared to fight.

The four Chieftains watched as Wren and his army departed.
"Well... that just happened." Kari said.
Ragna nodded sagely. "It certainly did."

The Chieftains stood in silence for a while, each thinking about what this new foreign alliance would mean for their respective island. At last, Balder spoke up.
"So... would this be a bad time to mention that some grain from a 'King of Everhollow' arrived recently? Apparently it's a gift in exchange for some kind of alliance."
"They have their harvest season before ours?" Kari asked. "Strange, maybe the climate is different over there."
Einar shrugged. "All that matters is that it's just an alliance. We're not getting pulled into more settlement troubles."
"We're all in agreement there." Ragna said. "The grain they sent over will be useful though, maybe we can get supplies on the closest island before we move in to settle it."

"Well, I still have harvests to plan." Kari said, turning to leave. "I can help with logistics of settlement later."
"Each of us should probably send a few people over to that settlement." Balder said. "I'll begin making preparations after I finish negotiations with the King of Everhollow."
"Yeah, do that." Einar said. "I'll be preparing the army in case either of our supposed allies aren't as altruistic as we thought."
"Take the prototype longboats with you," Ragna said. "They're the only line of naval defence we have."

The Council of Chieftains departed, and each began their own preparations. The last-minute planning of the Harvest Festival succeeded in creating the great celebration that the festival was known for, and with the large number of freed-up workers, groups of settlers and soldiers began being prepared. Meanwhile, Chief Balder sent a messenger to Everhollow, delivering a letter that he wrote.
King Mallick,
We appreciate your gift of grains, and would be more than willing to join you in a defensive alliance. We will be sending diplomats shortly to figure out the finer details of our alliance, but for now, know that The Holm Commonwealth considers you a friend.
Yours,
The Council of Chieftains

(OOC: Changed my previous post to get rid of the "In A Week's Time" promise for settling the islands, timelines are all funky and I have no idea how much time passes between posts and how long naval travel takes.)

She looked to the soldiers. "A peace accord? You have to why you need me to sign that paper because I don't just hand my trust to just about anyone its earned. You have to explain to me why you want me to sign this paper but don't expect me to give an answer straight away since I take very special time in my decision before I get back to you with an answer. You do understand that right because if you don't then I will not sign anything" she said stern but in a gentle voice. DawnAngel nieghed as she kicked the ground with her hoof.

Morai received the letters from Bam and JC back and read them seperately. He thought about how he could atleast somewhat contribute to JC's travels to Il'vhin, and had an idea. He called out to a servant, a Conqueror patrolling the castle. " Tell the planner at the docks to send out a reinforced transport ship to the Hábouokami region for JC and her bodyguards. Make sure that the crew pays as much attention to the vessel not being damaged at all. This is high priority. Also, do not send anything too fancy. That'll get the attention of those who think us as enemies. Also tell the crew to use simple, plain white sails instead of sails with our flag on it. Instead, take a flag cloth with us, to prove who we belong to. And, take this scroll from JC, too. Incase someone in the Hábouokami Region asks why you are there. " Morai ordered, giving the female Conqueror the scroll that JC wrote him back. The Conqueror saluted and left the building, dashing to the docks. A simple wooden boat resembling a gondola with a white sail on it and six oars on each side soon took off, sailing from the docks towards the region of Hábouokami. On board was a eight-person crew, equally split between three males and females. Peacefully, it sailed across the two seas towards the region that JC Wolfa had been ruling. Morai sent the owl back to where she came from, presumably from JC herself, as he got back to writing again.

Morai wrote another letter, directed to The 25th Bam, explaining that he was sorry for the sudden assumption and if he seemed hostile. He explained that with the sudden attack, he's been on edge, thinking that others may take this opportunity to wipe them out of the picture, seeing as often the Il'vhin were judged to be a hostile nation. He wrote a formal apology and a thank you, towards the fact that the assassins are taking down the remaining enemy Kiux at the island. He wrote that if he let his assasins completely wipe out the dictator and his goons, that the island would be theirs to keep. Then, he finished the paper and rolled it up, wrapping it back on his eagle's left foot. He sent his avian messenger out again, to deliver the scroll to The 25th Bam.

Then, Morai sat down again, writing yet another letter, dedicated to the Kingdom of Everhollow. He wrote a thank you in the scroll for the load of grain delivered to the Il'vhin Ghardé Kingdom, and wrote in an offer: They could open up a trading line between the lands. Any overload of their harvest would be sent to the Il'vhin Ghardé Kingdom, and in trade the Il'vhin Ghardé would sent an amount of equipment or metals to the Everhollow Kingdom back, whether it was siege equipment, weaponry, armour or direct ingots. Since most mountains are in the Il'vhin Region, the Kingdom itself had acess to many ore veins, allowing more opportunity for more advanced equipment/buildings. So, this first offering would be the starter. If agreed to, Morai wrote that he would send the next delivery of any requested materials post-haste, for exchange of the gift. He finished that paper too and walked back into the city, handing it to the caretaker of the falcon letter delivery. The scroll was bound to a falcon's foot and it was sent to the Everhollow Kingdom, flying directly to Mallick, the King of Everhollow.

As soon as these seemingly mercenary soldiers were all gathered together in what looked like a pitch battle formation, Derstius gave the order to charge. He and the rest of the nobles valiantly rode their horses towards the enemy, taking many throwing knives and other assassin-like weapons on the way there, but still pushing forward. In fact, Derstius himself targeted their leader, and swung his longsword at her head as he passed by her.

Then the peasantry quickly marched towards the enemy, flanked by the imperial guard of heavily armored spearmen, who ran in formation hoping to surround the opposition.

“Sire we have received word from Scorpius’ forces and from a number of our whisperers, they say the archipelago is readying itself for War, invasions and conquest have begun across the islands” Willem came charging through the doors of Mallick’s living quarters with a handful of seemingly blank papers. Weighing them down on the table before running a warmed candle tray across their surface revealing the messages written on them. Mallick, un-phased by the sudden arrival, glided across the floor over to his large wooden desk and read through the various reports silently before taking a moment of contemplation and issuing his orders.
“Tell our agents to continue to feed us information, stay hidden and stay alive, they are to move with the nations if they must, we cannot lose our eyes or ears across the seas. Speaking of which dispatch another warship to meet with Scorpius’ forces. I want the island colony ready and defensible as soon as possible, the Surveyors report having found a huge mineral deposit, if the deposit really is as large as they imply the island may be able to begin forging its own arms and defense as opposed to needing to have them shipped, send an additional 10 smiths with the warship.”
“yes my king” With that Willem gathered the various reports from his agents and fed them one by one into the small fireplace in the corner of the room staring into the fiery depths until all that remained of the letters was pitch black soot. Before turning again and striding his way off to the rookery to prepare the necessry messages and instructions for his various contacts.

By the time Wren got back to Irome, the three groups of Kytiromean surveyors had already gone to all three islands and returned with what they found. On the nearest island, which was planned to go to Holm, they found very little particularly valuable. There were no mineral deposits and no other things of interest. On the second nearest island, they found a small deposit of gold, but it would run out pretty quickly, so it wasn’t particularly important. On the farthest island, however, they found something really useful. There was a large metal deposit, which would help their new allies get a good military going.

Scorpius’ scouts had brought back word of the Kytiromean presence on the island not long before the eagle had arrived with word of the approaching reinforcements.
“Ready the men, we’re going to go introduce ourselves to these new neighbors” Scorpius called out to his squire as he took up his Halberd and lead his assembling forces toward the Kytiromean surveyors.
Once the Hallowian force was in place on the outskirts of the Kytirome camp Scorpius let out a thunderous call
“Greetings gentlemen of Kytirome, I see you have discovered this lovely island of ours, welcome to the Hallowian colony of Hallow-mine. Unfortunately your government doesn’t have any kind of political alliance with our great kingdom, so unless your monarchy can come to an incredibly hasty agreement with ours, you really only have two options. Either you leave now before this all gets ugly or we do this the hard way and we take this little colony of yours by force.” Scorpius smiled as he made his way down toward the camp his halberd slung lazily over his shoulder

The surveyors replied, “Fine, we will leave.”
Then, they sailed away. When they got back to Irome, however, Wren heard what they had said about the island’s resources and immediately set up another fleet to settle the island by force, this time taking 2000 musket-men, 1000 cavalry, and 2000 pikemen, traveling in about 8 galleys. Wren also sent one of his best generals (and his brother), Korika Cyiti, with them, and gave him orders to secure the island fully by whatever means necessary.

The outside of the castle was roaring in cheers, as Skeana had prepared her dress and cape, which was long and behind her. Skeana slowly made her way up the stairs, some assistance required, and walked to the balcony. She was going to make an announcement of course. As she opened the doors, she could see mixes of people at the ground. " Everybody, as you know I want to make an announcement! "

The people got quiet, a little excited and worried at the same time. " As you all know, there has been recent activities in the other islands, and I'm not talking about Ruil and Troa... " She could tell there were clear shocked faces, others already thinking of what they'll do for the future. " However, We will not engage in immediate activity, so only prepare yourselves for some trouble. " she shouted, a sigh coming right after. What was she to do in this case, She hasn't had a war in a very long time.

Skeana, while hearing the chatter of the people, looked into the sea, was this.. a Ship? She may have to move over toward Troa, as that was the main trade Island. She would have to request some troops over too as well. She started to walk back into her castle, the doors closing behind her as she gripped onto the handles. Going down, she made her way toward her council. The council room was already filled with the sound of arguments, obvious from the outside. Making her way inside very carefully, she walked over to her seat. " We have a Ship coming, and we still don't know what It could contain. " she suddenly said, the council quickly listening.

Quickly, one of her Strategists brought her a map, and if the queen could identify possible a design, maybe she could see which Island sent this. Trying to remember the possible design, It seemed like a trade ship maybe. Whatever it was, She immediately sent out troops to possibly retrieve any gifts / offerings, and to defend the less guarded of the two, which was Troa. Hopefully, Nothing bad would happen. She concluded the meeting, and left her council to themselves. ( 2 Galleys to Troa - 300 Infantry, 200 Archers ( Infantry. ) - )

In the time it had taken for Kytirome to leave the island, assemble their forces and begin their journey back to Soulmine, the Hallowians had already claimed a series of pre-establish fortified keeps adjacent to the islands greatest mines, further fortifying the existing defenses, The single warship sent temporarily from Soulport had evolved to become a permanently stationed pair of warships and the islands extensive resources had allowed the newly appointed Lord of Soulmine to equip his forces with high quality weapons and armour. The young lord had taken the defense of his island Incredibly seriously having the unused stone and wood from construction and mining used create various island defenses. The site of the Kytirome colony had been raized entirely and replaced with a naval fortress. The island encircled with rough stone alone it’s coastline to pose an dangerous risk to invading ships as they approached, the submerged stones barely visible in the dark waters all a tactic to limit potential landing sites and force invaders toward fortified positions
At the sight of the oncoming fleet vast thunderous drums rang out across the fortresses as the defenders took their positions, brassieres were lit ablaze and archers readied themselves as unwieldy cannons and freshly built catapults were rolled out from behind the stone defenses of the islands naval fort. ”Man the towers, man the towers!” screamed commanding officers as their subordinates scrambled to position.
“My lord they appear to be heading directly toward the main eastern beaches, we have already sent word to Soul-Hallow of the approaching fleet. What shall we do now?”
“Now we wait, tell me where at the warships currently?” the grizzled lord scoffed to himself as he though of the defenses he had at his disposal.
“The pair are moored on the northern side of the island for now, it would take over two hours for them to arrive though”
“Send word that I want those ships loaded with men and sent to cut off our invaders escape route!” The harsh lord cried as he lifted his great sword from its resting place atop the antlers of a stuffed stag head and began to make his way down from his chambers to the main hall.
Meanwhile a number of the Kytiromean ships had sailed into range of the cannons and catapults,
“ready the flames from above!” A commander could be heard screaming as one by one the catapults were loaded with pots of oil and one by one these pots were set alight with torches, similarly a number of archers had dipped their arrows in the flames of the brassieres and readied themselves to release the now flaming notched arrows
“hold... hold...” an eerie silence spread across the fort walls, all eyes fixed on the incoming ships as the last of the ships crossed the imaginary line placed them in firing range “hold, LOOSE!!” with that order the *thwick* of bow strings and thud of catapult arms sent a bombardment of unified flaming projectiles down toward the incoming ships, though all these sounds were drowned out by the immense thunder of cannon fire as the heavy weapons let loose chaos, the cannons firing sporadically as the men manning them rushed to reload them after each shot.

Another messenger came into the Kiux castle, coming for the Captain. " Sir! We have misunderstood! The assassins are taking care of the runaway enemy hiding out at Necromegalopolis! " He briefly said, then ran away again. The captain sighed in relief and looked to the small queen. " Well, looks like you are safe here after all. I will have to depart now. I will leave behind 200 Sentinels to guard over you for the while. We will get back to you as soon as we can. Until then, Farewell. " The Captain of the Sentinels spoke, before leaving the castle and its kingdom with the sentinels, 200 of them staying behind, guarding the castle and their city. The other 1800 and the rest of the other troops walked back to Majoráeth and had soon been commanded to return to the regular guarding duties. Morai had awaited a response from either of the Kingdoms he wrote his letters to, especially was he awaiting the boat that was sent to help JC Wolfa be moved safely to the Il'vhin Ghardé Region without trouble. He hoped that the boat wasn't coming into any trouble on the way through the seas.

Miraculously, only one ship was sunk on the rocks of the sea, and the fire from the enemy did very little to damage the ships themselves, although a few sailors died on deck.

Soon enough, the soldiers had all landed on the beach, with minimal casualties. First, the cavalry, of which less survived the voyage, charged shed taking arrows and still moving along towards the enemy, ready to trample them and slice at them. This was really just a distraction though for the more important units, because after each charge, instead of continuing to fight, the cavalry moved back and forth along the lines charging again and again. In order to protect the important infantry more, they had the heavy pikemen escort the musket-men with their shields up, until they all reached a flat area with very little cover all around for the enemy to hide. If they were to be attacked, it would have to be a pitch battle. One this positioning was accomplished, the now damaged cavalry retreated to regroup with the infantry. The muskets lined up in a double lined formation 1000 men long, prepared to fire at any incoming units in range or about face if necessary.

Now in marching formation, the entire army began a march towards Soulmine. It was beginning to become night, and they decided that they would quickly set up camp on the hill just outside the colony.
A Kytiromean scout was sent out to the enemy colony in hopes of setting up a meeting between the two generals.

Everest looked to the Lord of Il'vhin ghardé before she screeched a bit before she flew off out the high window back to JC. She had somewhere to go to so she had to tell them that she would deal with this later. "Listen, I have somewhere to be so we'll discuss this later once you explain everything. Guards I have to visit Il'vhin ghardé so please guard the gate until I return and don't let anybody in alright" she said stern. "Yes mistress" they said as she got off DawnAngel for the moment as she pulled out a medical case from underneath it. She clicked it on the side of DawnAngel and already had everything else ready. She got back on DawnAngel's back before she turned around. "My apologizes if your time was wasted but this is urgent" she added before gently tapping DawnAngels side as she galloped off into the forest again. Upon arriving at the sea port she saw a ship had seemed to arrive there as she was unfamiliar of who these people were as she pulled DawnAngel's reins to stop her as she raised her front legs up in the air folded against her standing on her hind legs before going back down snorting as she kicked the ground with her hoof. "May I ask who you people are? May I help you with something?" She asked as she felt Everest's talons grasp her shoulder from return to deliver a message to Morai.

The crew of the boat rowed and rowed, soon spotting one of the beaches of Hábouokami with a telescope. They rowed more until they hit land and pulled their boat into the sand, making sure the water won't pick it back up and toss it into the sea. The three women of the crew got off the boat and walked up to JC Wolfa, bowing. Then, one of them held up the paper that JC had sent to Morai earlier. " We have been sent by Overlord Morai to safely bring you over to our lands, your highness. We had to pick such a low-budget ship to not seem suspicious to any enemies of ours looming in the seas. We hope you understand. When you are ready, we would be willing to escort you and your mount back to our lands. " The female exclaimed, and all three walked back to the boat.

The Hallowian warships arrived as expected, forming a small blockade with cannons prepped at extreme close range should the enemy try to return in order to escape. Their orders to set the ships alight if they tried to escape with a hostage or retreat. The Hallowians would accept surrender but not cowardice.

The marching army may have made it past the islands naval defenses but had failed to take or even attack any of the outposts dotted along the cliff face. Archers turned to face the new invaders and fired wave after wave of arrows high into the air as the army marched past.

“My lord the Kytiromeans have made it past the naval defenses they’re marching on toward Soulmine, scouts report 1000 mounted men, 2000 muskets and the same of pikes.”
“Any siege weapons?”
“No my lord, but they have sent a messenger, they wish to arrange a meeting”
“very well, inform the Kytiromean lad that I will meet with his general, King Mallick’s orders were to defend the island but peaceful negotiations must always be an option.”
