A great structure was built upon a former lonely island-a new Battle Frontier! But this one is different to the ones found in regions like Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh. The Frontier Brains are much stronger and there are a lot more battle facilities. Powerful trainers from across the globe compete to get all the battle symbols and then challenge the frontier champ-the one who has beaten gotten all the symbols. The challenge was to originally get all the symbols, but after the first trainer did that the goal became to get all the symbols and then obtain the grand symbol by beating the champ and becoming the next Frontier Champ. Some facilities have returned from previous battle frontiers, as you will recognise, and some are completely new. Most battles will be a 3 vs 3, with some execeptions.

Battle Tower
Frontier Brain: Tower Tycoon Palmer. Team: Rhyperior, Dragonite, Greninja
Fight through an endless stream of battles.
Battle Pike
Frontier Brain: Pike Queen Lucy. Team: Serviper, Steelix, Millotic
Just like in the Hoenn Battle Frontier, the trainer must go through a large Serviper tent in order to get to Lucy.
Battle Factory
Frontier Brain: Factory Head Thorton. Team: Randomized three pokemon
Fight with a random team of three pokemon.
Battle Palace
Frontier Brain: Palace Maven Spencer. Team: Crobat, Slaking, Lapras
Same as in the Hoenn Battle Frontier, but with improved battles
Battle Arcade
Frontier Brain: Arcade Star Dahilia. Team: Dusknoir, Medicham, Ludicolo
Same as in gen 4-randomized roulette effects take place in every battle
Battle Jungle
Frontier Brain: Jungle Chief Sylvia. Team: Venusaur, Ribonbee, Ariados, Tsareena, Jumpluff, Shiftry
The first of a new set of battle facilities where the trainer enters a dense jungle filled with trainers. They can only use grass, bug and poison type pokemon and if a pokemon faints, the trainer cannot use that pokemon for the whole of their challenge. They are allowed to take a pokemon from one of the trainers though. Trainers can use up to six pokemon.
