The Golden City (OC Thread)

The Golden City!

Also know as Neo England. It is a beautiful country that floats above the lower lands. Each level is known as a Sector. The Golden City is built up into eight Sectors, each corresponding to something.

The first and second Sectors are residential. This way it is much easier for the less modified citizens to get to the Lower Lands. Stemming from the first sector is an airship port of sorts. On the Third is known as the “Eco Sector”. This is where all the Trade Airship Ports and shopping Bazaars are. Trading and Bartering is still prevalent in this land, as well as gold coins as currency.

The lower sectors cannot get to the Fourth and higher Sectors. These are known as the “Sky Sectors.” Only the Squires, SkyKnights, Paladins, High Paladins, and Royalty are allowed to enter here. The Fourth Sector is for the living quarters of the Squires, SkyKnights, Paladins and High Paladins. The Fifth Sector is the training area for these modified knights. Above that is the Sixth and Seventh Sectors where the Sky Knights aren't able to reach. Only the Paladins and the High Paladins can reach here and above. These contain “The Great Hall,” Which is for any sort of audience with the Royals. Above that is “The Golden Palace” or the Eight sector, which this housed the King, Queen, and any others with Royal status.

The Ranking of the Knights break up into four groups:

The Squires, SkyKnights, Paladins, and High Paladins. The Squires are very young children that are given by their families as a trade for wealth and honor. They are trained by a Paladin which becomes their Sworn Brother or Sister. They are their mentor until they become High Paladins. At the age of sixteen they finish their training and become full fledged SkyKnights. At this point they go through a round of difficult and painful surgeries. They are awake during these, and at this point many of the weak are “weeded” out. (Below will be a list of implants that the SkyKnights, Paladins and High Paladins get.)

The title of Paladin is a goal that most of the SkyKnights reach for. But it is very difficult. One must be recognized by the High Paladins. Many goals must be achieved, as well as following The Old Code (Shown below) perfectly. These protect the the Six and Seventh Sectors from any intruders. If any sort of war comes they will also fight along side of the SkyKnights.

The High Paladins also need to be recognized by other High Paladins, as well at the Royal Family. These will stay by the side of the Royal Family and protect them with their lives. Only Eight are allowed in the Ranks at a time.

Current Story Arch:
Within the Neo England, civil war has broken out. The Duke (Alistair) is aiming to overthrow the current King and succeeds. (The Queen died twenty three years ago. At the same time, the two year old Princess went missing leaving the King broken hearted.) Most of the SkyKnights and Paladins have been killed off. Only one High Paladin has been left alive as well. Celestine Arkwright (My character) a SkyKnight known as “The Lady of the Golden City” still lives as well to rebuild and protect the people. They live in squalor because of the Duke and current King's greed. Now she works towards the goal to find the lost and true heir, and over throw the King.

Implants and Modifications:

SkyKights:
Power legs: Allow the user to jump to at least 1,000 feet in the air. Allow them to get move about the Sectors, Accept for “The Great Hall” and “The Golden Palace”.
Power Arms: Give the user great amounts of strength. This allows them to wield large weapons that most humans cannot.
Hemoglobin Equalizer: A sensor that pumps in a chemical that makes the body create more red cells which allows for more oxygen in the body. In turn it heightens the internal temperature so that they do not freeze in higher altitudes.
Reaction Multipliers: A sensor that is implanted into the brain. It multiplies their ability to sense the actions of others and quicken their own to match.
Metal Skeleton: Just like the name says, their bones are coated with a type of titanium alloy that is pliable but unbreakable.

Paladins:
First pair of Wings: Allow them to fly to “The Great Hall” and The Golden Palace”. They are used for transport and weapons.

High Paladins:
Second and Third Pair of Wings: These are merely for show. But they do serve well as fast transport throughout “The Golden City”. They can also be used for weapons

Rouge Knights:
Have the same implants as the SkyKights, but they are not sanctioned. Also they don't follow The Old Code like the others do. The Rouge Knights fight to over throw the current Duke/King.

This is “The Old Code”:

A knight is sworn to valour,
Their heart knows only virtue,
Their blade defends the helpless,
Their might upholds the weak,
Their word speaks only truth,
Their wrath undoes the wicked.

If you wish to join in this RP feel free to reply or message me. I want to see if anyone is interested in this idea. Most characters are allowed. The Ranks of Squire, SkyKnight, Paladin, High Paladin, Royal and even Rouge Knights are allowed.

Celestine-Claymore_zps0de2743b.jpg

Name: Celestine Arkwright

Nick Name: Lady Celestine, SkyKnight, Lady of the Golden City

Gender: Female

Hair: Silver.

Eyes: Clear Teal.

Markings: Angel wing tattoos on her back, which signifies that she is a full SkyKnight.

Occupation: A SkyKnight of the Golden City.

Likes: Adventure, traveling when she gets the chance to. Breezy days, training with her old master SkyKnight.

Dislikes: Any who go against her King and Queen. She dislikes the surgery part that goes with getting the implants that the SkyKnights get. Rain, and bodies of water...

Clothing: (Armor) A bluish silver type of plate armor. It goes over her torso, arms (Like gloves), and legs like boots. There are parts with fabric like her flowy sleeves, skirt.

Weapons: A master of all weapons, but she usually carries a large Claymore and Battleaxe.

Implants: When squires graduate to be SkyKnights they go through rather intense round of surgeries. Usually their arms and legs are amputated and replaced with what are called power legs and arms. They are also given other sensors and implants that allow them to protect the royals and citizens properly.

Powered Legs: Allow the user to jump to at least 1,000 feet in the air.

Powered Arms: Give the user great amounts of strength.

Weakness: With all of the implants and body modifications that are done to her, Celestine instantly sinks when she enters water. Therefore she easily drowns.

About:
Like most squires, Celestine was taken in at the very young age of six. She was soon picked by her master who also became her sworn brother. She trained hard under her brother and quickly graduated to be a SkyKight. The young Kight then went through the necessary yet painful surgeries to become what she is today. As she grew, the young Dame (female knight) completed many missions and soon earned herself a reputation. Celestine was given the name, “Lady of the Golden City” for her great feats of valor.

The young woman is working towards her goal to become a High Paladin, but first she must become a Paladin. Celestine must complete many more missions and then be recognized by the other High Paladins. When one becomes a Paladin they go though more surgeries to get their wings and several other sensors including “water breathing” This at least fixes the whole drowning issue.. Then as they rise in ranking to become High Paladins they gain another set of wings until the get their final set of three.
