Leah Noelle Carrie wasn't your typical 80s kid, she wasn't in on the big trends, the bright clothes, the stupid stereotypes. She didn't care about being the cool kid or getting a boyfriend, hell she didn't ever want to be the cool kid or get a boyfriend. She liked to sit alone, writing in her notebook, working out mysteries. She was bullied and called things like creep and psycho, but she honestly didn't care. The things she knew about this school, this town, put those rats to shame. She was that 'weird kid' that sat alone at lunch and hardly had any friends. Her grades were above average and sarcasm was her second language.

So she sat in class, tapping her wooden pencil on her desk. Hardly paying attention to anything the teacher was saying, she'd finished the worksheet and had zoned out, as she often did. A quiet giggle caught her attention and she turned her head, she rolled her eyes. It was just another airhead that decided to make fun of her. The boy leaned over and whispered, "Why don't you smile more?" Leah again, rolled her eyes. People often said this to her, she leaned right back over to them and raised her eyebrows, "I never smile before I kill someone." She said casually, with that, she stood up, handed her paper to the teacher and left the room.

Maybe she'd get a detention later, but she really didn't care. As she didn't with most things.
She pulled on her brown jacket and ran up the stairs, leading to the rooftop. Maybe she'd finally be alone.

Or maybe not.

Devin was...a rather unremarkable student. A go with the flow kinda guy who just had kept to himself. He did not bother anyone, nobody bothered him. The had been the unofficial policy he had lived by.

So when Devin asked to use the restroom, he had little doubt no one would have paid him much mind. He was an average student who left no impression with anyone, so it gave him some freedom to roam the halls for a bit. During this, he saw what appeared to be a girl around his age run up the stairs, going to the roof he presumed. Part of Devin just said to leave it be, but that part was minor compared to the part that part of him that had been curious.

So Devin followed the girl up the stairs, and soon enough saw here there. Devin had no clue what inspired this action, or even who she was, but something had compelled Devin to say what came from his mouth.

"H-hey, are you...are you okay?"

Leah turned around, she sighed. "Fine." She replied, "Just sick of some of the people at this school"

She Didn't know this boy very well, he wasn't a dweeb that bullied her or someone who seemed to make trouble, at least that she knew of. "Uh... I'm Leah." She said, awkwardly.

Devin listened to the girl, as she had expressed her reason for being here as well as her name. Devin may not have been social one, but even he had know it would be rude to not introduce himself in return.

"I see...well my name is Devin. And yeah, some of the people here can be...less than friendly. However you can't let their bad attitude get you down. Gotta just try and block it out and focus on the positives." Devin said, in his attempt to try and encourage the girl. Why had he done that? Devin himself could not say, he just felt he needed to say something.

Tom, also known as Seven. He didn't even know his real name. He was walking around, shirtless, with only some beige shorts, which were worn, of course. He was hungry, looking for food. He tried looking around for any animals, or plants, specifically raspberries. This forest was wide, the grass was a little withered, the red oakwood trees, were chopped. He looked at a small bush. He quickly ran into it, while the thorns of it, we're injuring him, but he paid no mind. He saw two blueberries.

They both seemed to be half eaten, "Berry." He simply said, as he ate the half eaten berries. There were little bruises on his thin body. It was winter, and it sure was cold. There was no snow, but he knew as soon as it would be night, it would rain. He then laid down on the withered grass, and simply closed his eyes, and slowly dozed off.

It was earlier in the morning that day, and the sun had not yet begun to rise. Out of a bush hopped a small hare, a brown wild rabbit. It hopped along, finding it's way to some nearby grass on which it attempted to nibble, until it heard a strange snapping sound, and a shudder amongst the leaves along the forest floor. It seemed spooked, but attempted to just hop along a muddy trail away from the area. However, just as it scampered across to that same trail, it saw strange tracks in the mud. Six sets of strange, spindly five-clawed paws, with one small notch in the mud behind each print where presumably a sixth claw from further up the leg had only just entered in. Before it could escape, there was a large, booming sound of a gunshot.

Isaac Kane sat, knees folded, just on the floor of the rooftop. He simply looked out from above the school. He was more or less dreaming of when he could leave this place behind. He had only just moved here and he already hated it. He helped himself to a box of small Apple Pies he had managed to bring across from England with him.

Ethan quietly walked through through the long hallways of the school, listening to his music through his white earphones. He loved music, couldn't get enough of it. He sometimes got in trouble for listening in class but he didn't really mind, It's not like he needed school to play music or draw. Ethan was headed for one place; the roof. Not much people were up their usually. It was the perfect place for some time himself. It would be peaceful up there like it always was. He began to walk up the stairs to see two students involved in a conversation, on the stairs. It looked as if they were going to go up to the roof.

"Great, maybe it won't be as quiet as I hoped up there,"

Ethan turned his music off and put his earphones back in his pocket. He had barely recognised either of the students.

"I wonder what they are talking about,"

He sat at the bottom of the stairs and got out his Drawing Book and one of his Lead pencils. He was going to draw the view on the roof.
Ethan thought of himself as a good artist. He liked to go out into the wilderness and sketch flora and fauna. He loved being alone in nature. It was quiet, beautiful and a great inspiration for his drawings.

His Drawing Book had a baby blue colour which matched his eyes. Most of the pages had his drawings on them. The book was a present from his mother from half a year ago after he told her he wished to become a better an artist. His mother, who was an artist, was quite happy about this. His mother did more surreal sketches and drawings. Ethan liked to look at them but he couldn't understand the meaning behind most of them.

Once he got them both out of his bag, he zipped his bag back up and began to walk up the stairs.

Leah walked over to the railing, and hopped up onto it. Admiring the two floor drop she smiled a little. That smile faded as she saw even more students on the rooftop. “How convenient” She muttered. She scanned the rooftop with her eyes, she recognised one Kid, he was new. She sighed and carefully edged herself along the railing. Most kids whimpered at the sight of that drop, Leah didn’t care the slightest bit, she didn’t care about the risk or the... consequences. It was worth the view.

She finally clambered her way over to a small ladder, which she climbed. She ended up sitting on a cube like structure, where the top of the schools ventilation system was. She pulled a sandwich out of her backpack and pulled out her notebook.

Leah didn’t care about risk or consequences. The consequences of anyone finding this notebook would be... extreme. This notebook was full of passages about people in this town and school, mysteries of this town and a lot more stuff an average kid shouldn’t know. So, she kept it to herself.

Ethan walked up to the railing and quietly sat behind it. He saw a girl go down to sit near the top of the school ventilation system. Ethan considered following her but He wasn't that brave and he could see just fine. He did think the view would be better on the railing . Ethan opened his drawing book; trying to find the next empty page.
"Hmm.. No thats the drawing of my mother... almost there... Here's a blank page!"

Ethan Sketched as he admired the view.

Isaac suddenly blanked out for a short time, returning to his normal state. He could feel something, and he could figure what it wanted him to do. He felt the urge to try and tell the thing that it wasn't his mum and to stop bossing him around, but from what he had gathered that would be fruitless. He slipped on his glasses from next to him. He managed to find his way over to the ventilation system where a girl sat, with a notebook. Was that it?
He reached a hand out, with a spare small Apple Pie in it. "You want one?" His gaze slowly shifted over to the notebook she held in her hands. "...what's that?"

"It's nothing." Leah said quickly, a little too panicky than what she'd of preferred but it didn't matter. "And yes please" She said, her eyes bulging at the apple pie. She picked one up and looked at the boy, "It's Isaac... Right? And thank you for the pie"

She didn't usually like being bothered, but anything for something better than her sandwich. Which had 'accidentally slipped' from her hand off the school rooftop.

Seven suddenly woke up from his little nap. He felt really uneasy, as he tried to get up. He tried getting away from the forest, and saw a little opening. There was a building. It seemed to be a school, but he didn't even know what school was. He collapsed on the ground. Hunger.

Two half eaten blueberries weren't enough. He crawled on his four limbs, and then quickly, he felt a wave of numbness go through his whole body. He quickly hit his head on the ground, closed his eyes, and fell unconscious. He was right in front of the school, right now.

Devin had a natural impulse to go and follow the girl, but then his eyes caught the sight of someone else who appeared to have collapsed in front of the school. Devin had no idea what inspired him to do this, but he soon enough dashed back down the stairs before he made it to the front of the school as he crouched down by him.

"H-hey are you okay?" Devin asked the kid, as he had began to shake him to try and get a response from the downed guy.

He side-eyed the girl while she took it from him. She was certainly a weird one alright. He was trying his best not to look directly at her because he didn't want her to think he was paying attention. She was pretty scary and from what he had seen she didn't enjoy company, but he just sort of stayed still and stuck it out. But she did seem awfully protective of that notebook, and him bringing it up had caused her to sort of crack for a second. He eventually worked up the courage.
"Yeah, that's me."

"I'm Leah" Leah said, staring down at the unconscious boy. "Who is that?" She asked, turning to face Isaac, "Do you know him?"

"Who?" He looked down, only to see some kid unconscious. "No. I mean I wouldn't know anyone really anyway but I don't think he even goes to this school. I mean, sorta obviously, look at him. Kid looks like a complete mess."

When Seven was shook by the boy beside him, he opened his eyes weakly, "Help...Food.." He said quietly. He was more than hungry. He seemed to be sick, too. He needed to be taken to somewhere safer, as soon as possible. He seemed to be having influenza, right now. It was winter and he was walking around, shirtless with worn beige SHORTS.

He slowly closed his eyes again. He tried falling asleep, again. He didn't like this feeling, he didn't enjoy this feeling, this feeling was killing him. That was new for him. The first things he felt. Pain. And it hurt. Badly. The first time one feels pain, is the worst time to feel pain. That was what Seven was feeling right now.

Leah looked down and noticed how thin and sickly the boy looked, he looked hungry. "Hey!" She yelled, "Give him my sandwich! It should be on the grass down there!"

"Yikes" Leah murmured, "Wonder who his parents are"

Devin had to admit, the boy's rather sickly appearance had been a disturbing sight but he soon heard the girl's voice as he glanced over to the side and found her sandwich just as she said. Devin dashed over to grab it before he went back to the kid as he held it in front of him while he began to gently shake him.

"H-hey! I have a sandwich, right here. Go on an eat it." Devin said as he tried to encourage the sickly kid before he glanced at the kids on the roof.

"Someone get a nurse!" Devin yelled, as he had to remain close in the event the kid needed him so somebody else had to go get the nurse. This guy needed help, medical help, that much had been certain.

Seven looked at the sandwich given to him. He took it and had a bite. He felt a bit better at least, now. He got up, and sat up, while eating the sandwich. Once he heard the boy call what he thought was an elder, "No...!" He said. There was a bit of awkward silence, "Don't call..*cough* elders..." He said weakly.

He seemed to be quite against calling a nurse, "Medicine....later.." He said, being a bit overconfident about his medical condition. He needed shelter, but shelter where he would be kept as a secret.

"Elders? What are you talking about, you need help. You need medicine. You need to be looked at." Devin said, as he considered at least taking this guy some place where he could rest. Though why he wanted to avoid help or these "elders" he had talked about remained a mystery to him.

Though now this guy had become...even more curious than he wad before. Who was this guy? What happened to him? Devin had countless questions in his head, though he had to make sure this guy was okay.

Seven sighed, and put his hand in front of Devin's face. A navy blue ray went through Devin's head. Devin would feel paralysis starting from his head, and flowing out to the rest of his body. Devin was now paralysed. Though, Seven was quite weakened, so Devin would soon start to move freely after 15-25 minutes. "Sorry....but thank you.." He said as he got up, and started walking away. It was now that he realised ; People only made things harder, especially those people.

Now that he got to think about it, two of the kids on the roof said things about him. Things like 'Kid's a complete mess.' And 'Yikes. Wonder who his parents are.' He didn't like those things. He looked up at them and fired a navy blue sphere at them. He walked away with a glare, as he wiped some blood coming from his right ear, as he disappeared into the forest.
