Spider-Man: Fractured Spider-Verse (Discussion/Sign-Ups)

I'm sorry to say you've got the details of the Spider-Hunt wrong... When the Clone Saga took place, Doc Ock was already in jail and operating via his proxy, the Jackal. Furthermore, Doc Ock had no hand in the Spider-Hunt, which happened about half a year after the events of the Clone Saga.

W-well again, the whole Clone Saga ended before the Spider-Hunt began, and neither Ock nor Jackal were involved in the Spider-Hunt. Think of the Clone Saga as one movie and the Spider-Hunt as another. They're connected, but one's plot doesn't depend on the other.

Nah, it's fine. It just might be a good idea to cross-reference with the backstory I wrote for Spider-Man in the future for Earth-1645 stuff like this, as he has a pretty clear timeline of events.

Oh boy, cracks knuckles time to get in on some asshole Spider-Man with a little House of M alternate ending

Name: Peter Parker
Hero Name: Spider-Man
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Home Universe: Earth-58164
Appearance: A typical Spider-Man costume, coloured red, but the lower half of the body and under the arms is a purple colour. The bottom two legs of the Black spider emblem on the costume’s chest are purple coloured, as well as some of the body attached to it, making a small M symbol.
Personality: Despite keeping the usual Peter Parker boundless positivity and humour, his success has caused him to become self-centred, and gain a rather large ego. As a result, his constant jokes tend to become more along the lines of insulting barbs, and his positivity quickly transforms into an excess of pride. Due to the culture of his universe, Spider-Man looks down on normal humans (“Sapiens”), but will heavily laugh off the possibility of actually being one himself.
Backstory: In an alternate universe where normal humans are second class citizens in comparison to Mutants and their leader Magneto, Peter Parker, known to the world as “Spider-Man” (Despite the public knowledge of his true identity), is a famous actor, super hero, wrestler and businessman. His uncle Ben Parker, first love Gwen Stacy and Gwen's father George Stacy are all alive; Peter and Gwen are married and have a son together. J. Jonah Jameson, after years of publishing anti-Spider-Man articles, even took a high-paying job as Peter's publicist, where Peter constantly humiliates him in public. Yes, it could be said Peter Parker has it all, except from one dark secret he hides from even his closest friends and confidantes, even some of his own family: He’s not a natural mutant.
Powers: Superhuman strength, speed and agility, wall-crawling, Spider sense.
Equipment: Web shooters, Magnetic pulse blasters (attached to his wrists), Spherical Web grenades (produced by Harry Osborn, and can also be remotely detonated).
Friends: Harry Osborn, Flash Thompson, J. Jonah Jameson (okay, less Friend, moreso heavily abused lackey)
Family: Gwen Stacy, George Stacy, Ben Parker, May Parker, Richie/Richard Parker (His son).
Enemies: The Spider-Slayer, Rhino, Green Goblin, Electro and Vulture
Other:

Name: May Mayday Parker
Hero Name: Spider-Girl / Spider-Woman
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Home Universe: Earth 982
Appearance: Her suit is styled heavily off of her father's clone, Ben Reilly. The usual webbing pattern with the red and blue, though the spider symbol is much larger, the legs expanding to meet with the legs of the spider symbol on her back. Her web shooters are also on the outside of her suit, like Ben Reilly, rather than under it, like Peter Parker.
Personality: May shares traits of both her parents. Like her mother, she is beautiful, charismatic and a popular student. Like her father, she is intelligent and bright. She also inherited his love for in-fight bantering. In addition, she is a very good athlete and excelled in her girls' basketball team until she quit after her powers emerged. On the other hand, May seems to have inherited the "Parker luck" in which her dual identity wreaks havoc in her private life.
May "Mayday" Parker is the first child of Peter and Mary Jane Parker in a future, alternate universe. Peter and Mary Jane were reunited with their baby daughter by Kaine, who found the child living with Alison Mongrain, the con-artist who had kidnapped the baby on instruction from the Green Goblin. After they were reunited, Peter lost a leg during a horrific battle with the Green Goblin. After the battle, Peter was offered a bionic replacement from Mr. Fantastic, and considering it a wake-up call, decided to retire and focus on being a husband and father. For years, they chose to keep their past from Mayday and hoped that she wouldn't develop powers of her own like her father.
Despite her parents' hopes, May began developing versions of her father's Spider-powers when she was fifteen. At the same time, Normie Osborn (the Green Goblin's grandson) set out to restore the family name (as he saw it). Mayday donned Ben Reilly's Spider-Man costume to stop him, but her worried parents burned the costume after May used it to keep her from taking on crime fighting.
Days later May was parting ways with her father from the police station when her spider-sense alerted her to a shady character who was stalking her father. She secretly nabbed the stalker, who was intending to kill her father, and beat him up in an alleyway with a trashcan without allowing him to see her identity. This threw the would-be-killer off of Peter's tail, and May got an addicting rush from saving someone's life.
Over dinner the same night, Peter told his family about the police case he was working on related to a string of murders in the fashion business. May used this info to investigate the fashion store her father was talking about, wondering if the villains behind the fashion murders were the same people trying to get at her dad. While investigating, May wore a makeshift costume from various pieces of black clothing she owned as well as the web-shooters she had saved from Ben Reilly's costume without her parents knowing. Upon arriving at the store she found a conversation happening between a mysterious villain named Nobody and his henchmen, one of which was the stalker hired to kill her father. While listening in, May was noticed by one of the henchmen, and a battle ensued in which she defeated the goons and Nobody (who used his powers to teleport away when the cops arrived). May rushed home to avoid being caught fighting crime by her parents. However, the escapade had inspired May to use her powers more, and over the next few days she secretly sewed herself a costume and christened herself "Spider-Girl". Eventually her parents accepted her crime fighting passion and began helping her.
May promised to give up costumed super heroics, dated Gene Thompson, and ran for student council president. When Mary Jane became aware that the Hobgoblin posed a threat to her daughter's teenage friends, she allowed Mayday to resume her activities as Spider-Girl (a situation they wanted to keep secret from Peter). After a battle with the Hobgoblin, May told her father the truth, and after a conversation with Mary Jane, they allowed May to resume her Spider-Girl identity.
After an attempt at helping the S.H.I.E.L.D. government agency, a case filled with a piece of the Carnage symbiote was released. It attached itself to May's friend Moose, who became the new Carnage. In exchange, Carnage would bond itself to Moose's terminally ill father, curing him in the process. Carnage caused a stir at May's school and kidnapped Peter and Baby Ben, forcing May to confront her friend. May tried to talk to Moose within the symbiote but failed, and it bonded with her brother Ben. Peter escaped as May battled the two symbiotes and gathered sonic gear that might have been able to defeat the symbiote. However it was May who used the weapons, thereby destroying the piece of the Carnage symbiote. Her success was not without a measure of collateral damage as well, however; not only was Moose furious at Spider-Girl for dooming his father, but the sonic weapon rendered Ben deaf, possibly permanently.
Ben's hearing was eventually restored thanks to the intervention of Normie Osborn. Normie later stumbled on one of Norman Osborn's former labs, and discovered a fluid tank containing what appeared to be a physical duplicate of Mayday Parker. Notes left behind by his grandfather indicated that this Mayday was the original he kidnapped years ago, hinting that the Mayday who had lived a full life was yet another clone.
Mayday continued to date Gene, but her jealousy over Gene's relationship with Simone enraged and confused her. She found some mild release from her problems due to her close friendship with Wes Westin, which in turn incensed Gene. During an encounter between the three in a bar, Gene almost knocked out Wes with a firm fist, but the punch was blocked by a concerned Mayday. Gene's punch being obstructed by Mayday humiliated him in front of his entire football team.
Mayday eventually started to feel the weight of her relationship, and chewed out Wes for intervening on her behalf. Wes, however, remained deeply concerned about Mayday and discovered a plot by Simone to blackmail Gene and discredit her in front of the entire high school. Meanwhile, Fury the Goblin Queen activated a signal that awakened the Mayday inhabiting the tank within Osborn's labs, and she escaped, confronting Mayday on the roof of her high school just as she was changing into Spider-Girl. The clone could mimic Mayday's clothing as well as her appearance.
Having been caught in the heart of an explosion that decimated New York City, a critically injured Mayday, her costume torn away by the impact, was rescued from the debris by Araña's forces. Araña, realizing that Mayday might not survive her ordeal, offered to merge with her, but she intervened in a vision quest that Mayday was undergoing, and by aiding her overcome a force she was meant to overcome alone. She obstructed Spider-Girl from uncovering whether or not she was the true Mayday. Araña successfully completed the merging and temporarily assumed control of Mayday's body, leaving Mayday and a third, blond woman who shared her name (possibly the spirit of Aunt May) trapped within her own subliminal consciousness before regaining control of her body.
Meanwhile, the clone assumed Mayday's life and picked up where she left off, however her presence deeply disturbed Benjy and a crestfallen Mayday also discovered that she had split up with Gene. Gene angrily retaliated when Mayday visited him, forcing her to take physical action and slam him through a table. She later received a call from Normie, telling her about the capture of Peter Parker, leading the clone into assuming the role of Spider-Girl.
The body-swapped Mayday in Araña tried to find Araña within her own body, who was using her body as a trap to defeat the Black Tarantula. However, the body-swapped May was found by the clone leading into a battle between the two of them, just as the body swapped Araña was lead into the lair of the Black Tarantula. The Black Tarantula was able to see through Araña's trick and nearly knocked her unconscious, just as May in Araña's body was knocked unconscious as well leading the two of them to recover their original bodies.
Meanwhile, Normie Osborn, along with Kaine, Phil Urich (in his Green Goblin Costume), Darkdevil, and Normie's wife Raptor, tried to rescue Peter Parker from Fury's hands, unaware of the the fact that Peter had absorbed the mind and memories of the original Norman Osborn. This led to a fight between the assembled heroes and Peter, now possessed by the Green Goblin. Mayday arrived just as Peter/Green Goblin reunited with the clone, who was revealed to have been genetically spliced with the DNA of the Venom symbiote, giving her the metamorphic powers displayed by Spidercide, but without the need for a host like normal symbiotes.
Bonding with his "daughter" (and, unintentionally, Spider-Girl), the possessed Peter declared himself as "The Goblin God" and began to go on a rampage, while Mayday found herself trapped within her father's mental psyche. With the aid of the spiritual avatar of her great-aunt May Parker, as well as flashbacks to the day she healed Normie Osborn's psychological scars, Mayday and Peter were able to overcome Norman in a psychic duel and convince the Brand New May that Mayday was a good person. Norman was seemingly defeated, but not before he denied Mayday the chance to discover whether or not she was the true daughter of Peter and Mary Jane, or the clone. Mary Jane was rescued from near-death by Benjy, who revealed he had developed organic webbing.
With the Brand New May uncertain of her place, Mayday proposed she become a member of the Parker family. Mary Jane agreed, though Peter distrusted her and objected to the idea. Mayday took a walk, reflecting on how her parents, baby brother, and potential new twin sister had overcome so much and truly become "An Amazing Spider-Man Family".
Her relationship with Wes, and the exposing of her face to the Black Tarantula, remained unresolved for a while. However, after her life is saved by April, she begins a relationship with Wes.
As part of the Great Hunt initiated by Morlun, his brother Daemos located May's family and Wes and immediately assaulted them, managing to badly wound May and damage Peter Parker's cybernetic leg. Peter, in an effort to save his daughter, collided with Daemos, knocking him clear. May managed to grab her brother, Benjy, and could only watch on in horror as her family members were cut down in front of her. Just then, two other Spider-Men opened a portal from another universe and beckoned May to join them. A tearful May then vowed vengeance on Daemos for the murder of her loved ones as she vanished.[8] She later accompanies Spider-UK, Spider-Ham, and Old Man Spider-Man to recruit the Peter Parker and other Spider Totems of Earth-616, revealing herself to him to convince him of the gravity of their situation.
Later, Benjy was revealed to be the Scion and was kidnapped by the Inheritors, 616 Peter promises May they'll get him back, but she angrily declares her father to be the true Spider-Man compared to the rest of them. When Uncle Ben tries to have a heart-to-heart with her, calling her out on the egotism of claiming her father is the only true Spider-Man and acting like she's the only one who lost loved ones, May attacks and berates him. Their fight is interrupted when a wall she cracked in a fit of rage crumbles and unleashes a horde of mutant spiders. The two set aside their disagreement and work together to contain the spiders, but May stubbornly refuses to let go of her desire for revenge against Daemos, stating that she hopes that somewhere an alternate version of herself exists who never had to suffer the loss of her loved ones. However, after witnessing the death of the Inheritors' Master Weaver, May realizes the cost of revenge and refuses to kill them, stating that she will seek justice rather than vengeance, with Spider-Ham commenting that, if her father was anything like him, he would be proud of his daughter. With the Inheritors defeated, May returned to her world with Uncle Ben, learning that her mother and Wes had survived the Inheritors' attack. As Ben chose to remain and be the grandfather he never had the chance to be, May decided to take on her father's costume and rename herself Spider-Woman.
However, it wasn't that easy: despite all of this, people still called her "Spider-Girl" and she hadn't gotten over her father's death, still wishing she had murdered Daemos when she had the chance. Using this against her, Enthralla and the Red Queen began ambushing other heroes with Enthralla hypnotizing them into thinking Mayday was an impostor who murdered Peter Parker and took his costume. Aided by her other hero friends and a late-to-the-party Ben, Mayday was able to stop the two villains, preventing a hypnotized Cassie Lang from killing her father and finally coming to grips with her own father's death in the process. She abandoned Peter's old costume and took up a brand new one, filled with renewed hope for the future.
Powers: Wall-Crawling, Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Speed, Superhuman Stamina, Superhuman Durability, Superhuman Agility, Superhuman Reflexes, Superhuman Equilibrium, Spider-Sense, Healing Factor
Equipment: Web-Shooters
Friends: Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noire, Miles Morales, Spider-UK, Spider-Man India, etc.
Family: Peter Parker (deceased), Mary Jane Parker (alive), Benjamin Parker (brother, alive), Ben Parker/Spider-Man (alternate grandfather, alive)
Enemies: Literally every Goblin imaginable.
Name: Benjamin Parker
Hero Name: Spider-Man
Age: Older than you and me, lol
Gender: Male
Home Universe: Earth 3134
Appearance: While Ben's costume isn't nearly as flashy as most other Spider-Men and women, he still makes a notable and original appearance with his. I'm too lazy to describe it, so... Check it.
Personality: As one would expect Uncle Ben to be, he's normally calm and reserved, wise with his words and a very easy person to talk to. His years of experience in life, and as Spider-Man, make him a wealth of information and wisdom.
Ben Parker received spider-powers when he accompanied his nephew Peter to a science demonstration where he was bitten by a radioactive spider. He decided to use his powers to help others, despite Peter suggesting he go into show business, but retired out of grief after his foe, the Emerald Elf, discovered his identity and killed his wife and Peter.
Ben was later approached by Ezekiel Sims, who informed Ben about the imminent arrival of Morlun to kill him. With nothing left, Ben accepted Ezekiel's offer, and was maintained in a secret bunker in Sims Tower even after his Earth was decimated when a blackmail plot by Doctor Octopus went wrong, leaving Earth decimated by the resulting thermonuclear war.
When Silk arrived to Earth-3145 as she was looking for refuge from the Inheritors, she arrived to Sims Tower, and encountered Ben. The prime Spider-Man and the resistance later arrived to Earth-3145, and Silk presented Ben to them.
Although Ben initially declined to join the other Spiders in their final attack on the Inheritors, believing that he had been foolish to ever think that he had made a difference, Peter and Otto convince him to do so by arguing that he has only failed if he gives up, Peter in particular affirming that the advice of his own Uncle Ben has saved his world and made a difference every day.
The Spider-Army managed to interrupt the ritual the Inheritors were performing, in which they were going to sacrifice The Other, The Scion and The Bride, Kaine, Benjy Parker, and Silk, respectively, to destroy every Spider. Ben rescued Benjy and used his teleporter to bring him back to Earth-982 and keep him safe. Following the Inheritors' defeat, Ben decided to return to Earth-982 with May, reasoning that he has nothing left on his world and he now has a chance to be the grandfather that no other Ben Parker managed to become.
Powers: Wall-Crawling, Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Speed, Superhuman Stamina, Superhuman Durability, Superhuman Agility, Superhuman Reflexes, Superhuman Equilibrium, Spider-Sense, Healing Factor
Equipment: Web-Shooters, designed by his dead nephew.

Well, guess it’s time to see how this little wild card I decided to throw in will go down. I discussed this quite a bit with Eeveechu beforehand, and I think I’ve got it down like I wanted.

Name: Alistair Smythe
Hero? Villain? (Depends who you ask) Name: The Spider-Slayer
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Home Universe: Earth 58164
Appearance: https://pokecharms.com/works/house-of-m-spider-slayer.50987/
Personality: Alistair is a socially awkward boy, with a rather large amount of self-hatred and self blame that’s been brewing in him since he was young. Guilt over letting his father die, despair over being born a normal person rather than a mutant, and a deep sadness that, in the words of Spider-Man himself, he can’t become a superhero like him without being a mutant. He tends to be instantly prickly towards Mutants/anyone with superpowers, as a self defence mechanism, however he’s never really experienced being treated well by those kinds of people. When things don’t go the way he expects, Alistair tends to either fall silent or stutter uncontrollably, much more comfortable with a life without surprises. Due to his idolisation of Spider-Man as a child, he knows all the details about the Spider-Man of his Earth, as well as his villains and famous battles.
Backstory:
From an alternate universe where humans were considered second class citizens to Mutants (led by Magneto), Alistair’s father Spencer Smythe was a genius scientist living in New York, struggling to find work due to Mutants with abilities enhancing their intelligence being chosen over him. His father and mother always struggled to support themselves, and this wasn’t made any easier when their son Alistair was born completely unable to use his legs, having to use a wheelchair to get around. As the boy grew, despite his intellect mirroring his father’s (although more invested in the engineering side than the research), he was constantly beaten down in life, for his status as a Sapien and his disability. However, he always looked up to Peter Parker, New York’s supposed “Mutant” Super-Hero, Spider-Man, wanting to become a Superhero like him, even with his disability and lack of powers. As he grew further, his self-hatred complex began to build as he realised just how far away from reality that dream was. This came to a head when, at 10 years old, Alistair watched a public speech by Spider-Man to the citizens of New York, where he told the crowd that “Any little Mutant kid out there can become a hero like me if they never give up.” Seeing the obvious missing party in this ‘Motivational’ statement, Alistair fell into a deep sadness that haunted him for the rest of his life, unable to truly try at anything, his grades slipping, as he accepted his own worthlessness. Seeing the terrible effect his son’s idolisation of Spider-Man had on him, and against the current state of New York, wanting to stand up for humans, Spencer used his skills to build himself a robotic battle suit, becoming a Sapiens Rights Activist Vigilante known as the Spider-Slayer. Believing Spider-Man’s media presence was having a negative effect on New York and particularly its youth, he targeted the Superhero first, using the public knowledge of his identity as Peter Parker against him, hoping to lure him out and defeat him, even killing him if necessary. However, Spencer’s tenure as the Spider-Slayer was short lived. The Police cracked down on his work soon enough, the Spider-Slayer cornered in a desperate last stand against Spider-Man and the police. Defeated by Spider-Man (Using special Magnetic Pulse Devices designed to stop the Slayer), Spencer lashed out at the last second, only to be fatally shot by a police officer. Newspapers like the Daily Bugle attempted to spin the story to Spider-Man and the police’s advantage, causing the growing Alistair to seek revenge. Finding himself with a more mechanical skill set than his father’s, he used the leftovers from Spencer’s work to create a new suit, unbeknownst to his mother, taking the mantle as a vigilante once again standing up for Sapiens, dubbing himself the new Spider-Slayer. Now, Alistair clashes in violent battles against the hero he once idolised, hoping to avenge his father, as well as the dreams of Sapien children across the world, including his own.
Powers: None.
Equipment: The Modified V2 Spider-Slayer Battle-Suit that he scavenged. The armour of this suit is coated in a special chemical non-stick coating, making webbing hard to effectively use against it. The metal of the armoured suit naturally provides a durable defence to physical attacks. It’s design allows Alistair to move and control it and it’s limbs without the need for his legs to be used, essentially allowing him to walk for once in his life. The fingers and thumbs of the suit are equipped with red laser-like blades, that are effective for cutting through webbing and armour, and can cause serious damage to skin due to the burning heat of their slices. Their length can also be extended if needed. The suit can also use a special magnetic field emitted by pads on the knees and shoulders to allow the user to stick to vertical surfaces. Heat and energy detectors built into the chest and eyes of the suit allow the user to detect movement of enemies, and locate them through some walls.
Friends: None of note
Family: His mother
Enemies: Spider-Man 58164
Other: Ironically, despite his chosen identity, Alistair has a terrible case of Arachnophobia. Actual spiders terrify him to no end.
[/SPOILER/]

I made the clones 4 years old, so you should probably do the same as me.

If you're having trouble with the backstory you can just look at the backstory I made for Ben and Jessica and see if you can take from that.

Also look at Spider-Man’s backstory since he’s got the FULL picture on all events. Or at least all the major events are discussed there. I’ll wait until you finish the sheet to approve it.

ISSA SPOODER BOI!

Damn do I wish I could draw spodermans that good

Anyway, I am very very excited to get this started.
Although my characters are basically going to be the most difficult to make friendly interaction with here lmao

The thread's up, folks! Apologies for the cliffhanger we're leaving Earth-14560 on, but it's necessary for the sake of future events. Meanwhile, I was thinking that we could get one Spider-Person into Earth-1645 for the time being and introduce the rest gradually - it's why I only threw Peni in there and held off on Spyder-Knight. If the current scenario in Earth-1645 wasn't really clear, what's happening is that Spider-Man went alone to stop Hobgoblin from robbing a bank, but it was actually a Spider-Man trap as there's three Hobgoblins. Cindy's currently trying to convince Harry to let her go into action despite still being in training. Feel free to throw Spider-People in the bank, Oscorp, Times Square or wherever else you think is fitting.

Oh boy, writing that one up was a doozy. Honestly i'm sorta tired so i don't think i managed to give them enough character and personality as i could've, because i was also trying to set the scene and cram in a lotta action and movement-
I'll get around to more of that later.

Oh boy, Spidey-Pool in the house, this'll be fun.

In other news i have no idea how HoM Slayer and Spidey will get out of their little scrap, because knowing their history neither will be willing to back down. I honestly don't know if i regret not separating them.

Alright I edited the backstory in, Its pretty short but I think I got the most important parts down, I made Kaine's hunter Solus since its one of the ones he fought during the actual spider hunt

Yeaaaaaaah. We're lucky Spidey has a hole in his chest and Slayer, being a teenager at the end of the day, is way too disoriented right now to understand whats going on or find him.

I dunno. See my sorta expectation is, people won't worry about Pete all to much and he'll be the real sleeper. Because ideally, everyone will at first assume he's a decent guy at the least, and not "Spiderman from the dimension where his life is perfect but he's an asshole". And he might actually use that to his advantage by holding back a little at first.
